| Posted: 23 Aug 2021 10:19 AM PDT "cant load android system. your data may be corrupt. if you continue to get this message, you may need to perform a factory data reset and erase all uder data stored on this device. try again factory data reset" the phone gave this problem apparently the only option is to wipe userdata and i dont want to lose my data. (there are a lot of important things for me here) the option "try again" just restarts the phone and this same screen appears I don't know what to do to recover my data, please help me im brazillian btw sorry for bad english [link] [comments] |

And NO USB debugging is not enabled either and I have tired apps like Dr fone and all of them require USB debugging. Is there any way I can at least enable file transfer some or the other way? | Bad at tech and now I'm worried Posted: 23 Aug 2021 09:29 AM PDT I got a DM on instagram from someone I hadn't talked to in a while so I opened it up the message to find a link, before realizing it was a shady link I clicked on it. Although the link ended in .xyz and was to one thing when looking at it, when I opened the link I was sent to something like rewardsgiantca com where they were giving away gift cards? So a scam I've never been good at computer stuff so should I be worried about any potential viruses I might have just installed? I've read in multiple websites that "it's possible to get viruses from just clicking on websites" but I've also heard people say that dosent happen. I'm so confused, should I be running to the nearest phone repair guy or can I continue my day without being worried? [link] [comments] |
| Google Photos Not Storing MP4 Clips Since Uograde to S21 Ultra Posted: 23 Aug 2021 09:27 AM PDT Hello, I at times download short media clips from a site called Yarn. These clips have always uploaded to GP successfully, but since upgrading to an S21 Ultra, they appear on GP camera roll but have a cloud with dash icon. and say viewable on device only. If I click that text it says the MP4 is an unsupported file type. The files are MP4 format and I never had any trouble uploading the same file type from the same clip site before upgrading the phone. Other possible new factors are that I use a VPN sometimes, and no longer have the ability to save to an SD card with the S21. Really appreciate any input or advice. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm wondering if there's some way to make the phone die with ~8% battery remaining so we can turn it on and have it ring remotely? If it dies at 0% there's no way to find it. [link] [comments] |
| How to clear data of system apps? (Android 11) Posted: 23 Aug 2021 11:40 AM PDT Hi. In the past, when I have noticed problems with file transfer from the device to a USB host over MTP, I could clear data of the system app 'media storage' which would reliably solve those issues after a few minutes for rebuilding the database. Since the update to Android 11 (lineage for microg 18.1) this is no longer possible.

It looks darker than the others, like an option that it's not supported. Also when I try to connect manually it shows the message "sim card doesn't allow connection to this network" but my SIM card is totally functional. I've done a tone of research as to what is causing it but have not been able to stop it. | Posted: 23 Aug 2021 10:44 AM PDT I have a OnePlus 7 Pro quite a high screen and I normally take wide-screen Pictures, so I asked myself if it is possible to take one wide-screen picture and set it and then whenever I switch from my home screen for example to the left and get to another one to just go a bit further from the wide-screen picture. Here's what's happening: every time I try to install an apk, the screen gets stuck after pressing the install button. The phone itself keeps working but the screen is not refreshing at all, and the only thing that appears to fix it is a reboot until the next apk comes in. My device is a Hafury Note 10, Android 9. | Posted: 23 Aug 2021 06:43 AM PDT Hey guys, in some apps like twitter, spotify and duolingo, cyrillic looks like vaporwave kind of font (pic at the end). I looked for font change command but seems like Xperia XZ1 doesn't have any other than changing font size. In other app it looks fine, so I assume it's up to the app supports cyrillic or use default on the phone (not too sure tho) My keyboard is gboard, and I purchased this phone from Hong Kong if this info is helpful in any way. thanks in advance! I opened the Do not disturb setting and it was toggled on, nothing like schedule or time is toggled so it has no reason to be turning itself on like this, I've missed a couple of calls already because of this. Posted: 23 Aug 2021 06:03 AM PDT A few hours ago I was using Facebook when I got a message from an unknown person which contained a link I wanted to copy it but I accidentally clicked instead of holding It sent me to a blank page then redirected me to one of those "complete survey to win phone" sites I thought "I have always opened such sites and nothing ever happened why not see what this site wants" (which was the most stupid decision I have taken) First 4 simple questions that I don't think are "sensitive information" as if I was a target to someone that would be very easy to know 1- your age 2- your phone type 3- your gender 4- what do you think of the service Then I got sent to a site with a spinning wheel where I won "Huawei p40 pro" Then redirected to the 3rd step Share to 20 friends and/or 5 groups I pressed and I shared to a few empty groups I had and some locked accounts Then the last step was "fill out your address and download our app" But then I kept getting redirected and the last step kept changing From "Fill out address and download app"-->"fill out address and number"-->"fill out address and download app"--> and it kept repeating Basically last step kept changing from "download app" to "fill out phone number" And just like that I kept getting redirected about 7 times atleast So I left the website and checked it on Virustotal and to my surprise "Flagged as malicious by 10 antiviruses" I am freaking out rn I am not a tech savvy and don't know where to check All I did rn was to check for any new apps/fake uninstallable system apps (didn't find any) And changed passwords I searched on Facebook about a similar topic and first few posts were warning about random fake Indian accounts sending out "virus" links and the links were the same as what I clicked What should I do now? Should I be concerned about possible malicious activity in the future or am I just overreacting? And could someone hack me through visiting a website without the need of hooking up some malware to my phone? | Posted: 23 Aug 2021 04:54 AM PDT Certain apps will never send notifications when the phone is locked, but then send all the delayed notifications together immediately when the phone is unlocked. Here are all the things I've already done:
Absolutely nothing changes how this works. As long as my phone is unlocked, the notifications come through immediately. If the phone is locked, they will not come through. There are however rare instances, when a few other apps manage to notify when the screen is locked, and these unsent notifications tag along and come in a flood, but that doesn't happen with every app either. One thing I've noticed is that many of these apps also have security policies that prevent screen-shooting. But I'm not sure that's all apps, and I'm not sure how those could be related. At this point I'm not exactly sure what the issue is, and how to resolve it. [link] [comments] |

No error message is coming up, the images just don't load. I've deleted and reinstalled both apps and tried emptying the caches but no luck. My wife is having the same issue on her Pixel 4a.
