| Google TV with paired Firestick remote? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 07:33 AM PDT Hello all, I had attempted this a few months back on a friends Google TV and the remote had worked except when I went to search for something and the keypad black would not recognize the center button clicking on a letter. Thinking of getting my own Google TV to see some possible performance gains but hate that remote. Has anyone been using their firestick remote on the Google TV device and gotten everything to work fully? [link] [comments] | ||
| Hitachi Android TV stuck in an infinite bootloop Posted: 22 Jul 2021 01:20 PM PDT Hi, I have a 43HAK6150U H and after an alert came up for a system update, which I did, my tv is now stuck in a bootloop. It shows the Hitachi logo, Android text screen, black screen, then goes back to Hitachi. If I unplug all connections from the TV it will show the home screen for like 3 seconds then go back to the Hitachi bit. The 3 things I have tried so far are the soft reset (hold down power while unplugged, plug back in), a hard reset for Sony TVs that I hoped would work (hold down power while plugging in TV) and just cooling the TV down in case it was the heat as we are in the middle of a heat wave in the UK. I can't seem to find much information on this TV online, so I'm not sure it's a particularly popular model, but I was hoping someone here may have a solution I haven't tried while I try to get in touch with the place I bought it from. Cheers for any help. [link] [comments] | ||
| TV episodes in my Google Play library are not appearing on my Chromecast with Google TV Posted: 22 Jul 2021 06:15 PM PDT I bought season 5 of Rick & Morty in the Google Play store. I have all 5 current episodes on my Google TV app on my phone, but my Chromecast with Google TV can only see the first 3 episodes. I tried rebooting my Chromecast. I also tried clearing the cache and clearing the data on the Play Movies app on the Chromecast. I also contacted Google support but have been very disappointed with their response. First they asked me for a picture of the error code (there is no error code). Then they copied/pasted the script that they use to help a customer cast a video from the phone to Chromecast. Any ideas why TV episodes are missing from the Chromecast with Google TV? [link] [comments] | ||

| Sony and shield pausing videos repeatedly, anyone else? Posted: 22 Jul 2021 04:32 PM PDT All of my Android TV devices seem to be pausing streaming content. I can navigate the menus, choose something to play, then it pauses. If I push play it'll play then pause as if I pushed pause immediately after. So far this is happening on YouTube and prime. I've restarted the devices several times and at some point they work again until they don't. Anyone else? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:32 AM PDT I bought some movies from iTunes, and sometimes watch them using the Apple TV app on my Mi Box S. Question is, how can I view the bitrate of the currently playing media? Any tricks? The Apple TV+ contents do look great, but movies, just like Netflix, seems a bit compressed. [link] [comments] |
