Any way to change font size and/or DPI when there is no option on settings? Help!

I've an Android TV box, given by a Pay TV provider; a DV8829 (Dialog Viu Hub 2.0) with an Amlogic S905C1 SOC, running on Android 10.

There's no option to adjust font size or dpi on the settings app, and by factory it has been set up for a larger font size which really annoys me, any way to make font size smaller?

    Thanks in advance

Since when are 4k movie rentals $8? I wanted to rent a 10 year old movie today and saw it costs $7.99 for a one time rental. That is crazy

Honestly haven't pirated a movie since college but looks like I'm about to start again. Does popcorn time still work?

    Is passthrough even worth it?

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 06:49 AM PDT

So I'm struggling to get audio passthrough on MiBox S + Samsung Q80T + LG SNH5 for a few weeks and get terrible lip sync issues (I even bought 2 HDMI 2.1 cables in a desperate hope to solve it). So I rage-quit and switched back to decoding on the device. Is there really much that I miss on a budget soundbar like this without passthrough? Want to hear your ideas on this. The only thing I noticed so far is that the audio became a little but more quite, have to add more volume on a remote and that's seems to be it. Anyways, thanks for sharing your experience!

YouTube and Prime displaying all videos backwards/ mirror image. Ads and all..Please any ideas? SHARP tv

    Posted: 18 Jul 2021 10:10 PM PDT

FIXED!! Had to do a factory reset. Should have done it FIRST! thought I'd leave this here for reference? Maybe someone will have the same issue 🤷‍♀️ 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴

Hey everyone, I could REALLY use some help. I have a SHARP smart TV (smart my ass but anyway🤣) Okay, so a couple of days ago I noticed that both YouTube and Amazon Prime are displaying the videos in mirrored image or backwards. Some people say it's copyright but it's everything, legitimate channels, even the Ads are displaying backwards. The main screen where u choose what to watch is fine, regular TV is fine, close caption fine. Trying to to read guitar tab backwards on YouTube really sux 🥵🤣.. Anyone any ideas please!! I'm also tech dumb so I hope it's a simple fix lol!

Recommendation on choosing Mecool KM2, km6 or Chromecast with Google TV.

    Posted: 18 Jul 2021 08:53 AM PDT

    Hi All,

I am planning to purchase a new Android streaming device for my secondary TV but don't want to spend too much.Looking for something around $100 which can last long. I need your recommendation on it. I already have a 2017 nVidea Shield TV which is I am very happy with. Here are my requirements.

    • Need to play Netflix, Prime video, peacock, Disney plus in 4k/UHD quality.
    • Casual gaming. Ex: Asphalt 8/9.
    • Capability to add more storage.
    • Capability to add third party USB remotes.
    • Frequent software and security updates, bug fixes etc.

    Thanks in advance.

    Factory Reset After Update

    Posted: 18 Jul 2021 12:34 PM PDT

After I did a update (security patch) of my android tv, it directly started factory resetting after restarting. It never prompted me to ask for the reset and I didn't reset by myself, it just did. Is this normal? If not, why would it have done that?

Disabling Chromecast Built-In on Google TV

    Posted: 18 Jul 2021 04:12 PM PDT

I'm looking to get a Sony X90J, that runs Google TV, but upon testing it and trying to disable the Chromecast Built-In app in the system apps, I could not find it. No issues doing that on Android TV (on a Sony A8H from last year). Am I missing something, or did Google completely remove the option to disable it in Google TV?

I've been wanting to get this TV ASAP when it was available where I am and just discovered this issue so it's delaying me a bit. It's a major deal breaker for me, since I have lots of people on the same network and at least 3 of them can and will screw me over by casting their YouTube or Netflix content from their devices onto my TV. Not trolling, but just lazy and lack of awareness, pressing on any notification on their screens. A network-side fix through my router(s) might be possible to prevent this from happening but I'd rather not mess with that.
