[Contest] In July, our phones are turning to PC's!

Congratulations to u/redacted187 for winning the June contest with their Seaside setup. Your theme will be displayed in our banner throughout this month, and will be added to our Hall of Fame.

With Windows 11 and macOS Monterey's recent unveilment, many people are excited to use these newly unveiled operating systems. This is why we are carrying this excitement to our phones. Of course you can make a theme based on older operating systems like Windows 7, OS X Yosemite and much many others. You can also base your theme around specific Linux distos as well! Get creative, the possibilities are (probably) endless.

These rules apply specifically to this month's contest:

    1. Your theme must resemble any desktop operating system.
    2. Your theme can't just be a stock desktop wallpaper, get more creative than that.

    General contest rules:

    1. Your submission must be a separate post and tagged as [Contest].
    2. The theme must be your creation. No modifying/reusing existing theme files/presets.
    3. Your submission must be a newly made theme, you can't post something you've already shared someplace else.
    4. You must not collaborate or ask for feedback during the making of your setup. Your contest submission needs to be your own work only.
    5. You are allowed only one submission.
    6. You are expected to share all resources related to the submission except those that you've made yourself, those are optional.

The winner will be announced on August 1st, 2021. Winning submission will be displayed in the subreddit banner for the duration of the next contest. It will also be added to our Hall of Fame.

Sometimes a technical question is just too minor to warrant a whole post. Sometimes you just feel better asking about something if you know there's a dedicated place for that.

Do you need icon pack recommendations? Maybe you don't know how to make that cool clock widget you've always wanted? No matter how big or small, if you have an issue making your homescreen just the way you want, ask here!

Consider joining our official Discord server. There's always someone who could help you with a more timely response!

[Help] Gnome-like live wallpaper on android

    Posted: 30 Jun 2021 10:56 AM PDT

    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to set a custom dynamic wallpaper(changing with time of day). Like the GNOME desktop uses(https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2020/07/gnome-3-38-wallpaper-adwaita) and I think macOS also, with my own provided images.

    Thanks for the help!
