And some aren't like that. Example Galaxy A21s. A21s still has One UI Core with Android 11. What is the reason for this? Why do some devices get One UI replacing One UI core version, and some do not? I have been trying to root it for the last 8 hours with no luck. I keep getting stuck on "sending boot (40384kb) or error: boot partion is smaller than boot image. Ive downloaded all the stuff I need, the img and the installer and magisk, I have just not been able to get this done. | how can i disable firefox custom tabs? Posted: 17 Jul 2021 10:22 AM PDT I really hate custom tabs, and I want to disable them. Newer versions of firefox don't have an option to disable them within the app. I've disabled custom tabs within every single app that has the option to (insta, twitter, gmail, etc), but some, such as the version of reddit that i use, don't offer that option. Is there a way to just disable them entirely, maybe using usb debugging or something, or will I have to switch to an older version of firefox that enables me to? I have a Unicorn Beetle Pro from Supcase, but the glass back has already shattered on me after a month of use. I've tried different cases off Amazon and they are all cheap crap. Some won't even stay together unless the rubber is around it. I work in construction so I need something durable and easy to grip, any suggestions would be great. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 17 Jul 2021 09:22 AM PDT Hello, I typically use silent mode always on my phone because I don't like my phone vibrating all the time while at work for any random notification, email, discord chat etc. There are occasions when I do want my phone to vibrate, so it is easy enough to use the volume toggle on the side to bump it to vibrate from Silent mode. The issue I have is, I sometimes miss an important call and the wife is pissed off about it. I know there is the Do Not Disturb feature with priority modes that allow certain contacts through. That is the function I am trying to achieve but there is no way I can tell to put that into the volume rocker. From a functionality standpoint, it would be best for me to have Ringer -> Vibrate -> DND -> Silent. Is there anyway to achieve this? It just is a hassle to actively turn on and off DND all the time depending on if I am in a meeting or something. If it could be integrated into the volume rocker, I think it would solve the issue. Now when I open it and put the phone near the POS terminal, nothing happens either with the phone or the POS terminal. | Posted: 17 Jul 2021 08:43 AM PDT When you use Custom ROMs most of them have the "Factory Reset" function disabled, and everytime I want to "Factory Reset" the phone I have to reflash the ROM to start from zero. I am currently using a Xiaomi Mi A3 that originally came with Android One 10, but I flashed MIUI 12.5 into it, and that's the OS I currently have in the phone. The thing is, I want to sell it, and the buyer says that if I am able to Factory Reset the phone in front of him, and have it working all fine, he'll buy it (because he doubts a little due the fact that it's rooted). But I can't Factory Reset through the configurations because it's disabled. So, I thought maybe if I switch back to the original Android One (it'll have to be Android One 11, due to updates) will I be able to Factory Reset it from the configurations (not via pressing buttons in Recovery mode or such) again normally? | Poor network signal / power issues Posted: 17 Jul 2021 07:25 AM PDT So basically the numpties running the O2 network in my town sent out a message about 3 years ago saying they were going to improve the signal and as a result of this work the signal might be affected. I went from 4 bars to 0/1 and it never went back up. I renewed my contract with them back in November and as signal was ok for internet browsing, surprisingly , I thought it be ok to stay on their network, Now however recently the signal dropped so low I didn't even get 4g at all and the battery level just keeps on going down in rapid amounts of time which I understand is due tot he phone automatically and continuously searching for more signals or looking for better stations to connect to. Is there any way of reducing its ability to do this? I realise I may end up not getting phone calls but I lost 30% in the space of one day the other day and it was barely used. I already have background data usage settings turned off. Reduced the level of light and have various apps i power saving mode with dark themes. I also have it in stamina mode to better the battery by reducing its performance. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

I downloaded their app yesterday and found out that a lot of similar companies use the apps to gain full access to users' phones. I deleted the app immediately after. However, I didn't clear the cache or do anything else. How do I know that my phone's security hasn't been compromised. Is there any way to check? I use a OnePlus 8 series for what it's worth. | Posted: 17 Jul 2021 05:44 AM PDT I'm not so sure this is the right subreddit to ask this but i have a Myria Giant (a romanian brand) tablet from 2018 with a broken digitizer but this isn't the point. I wanted to use it again as a secondary device so i bought a mouse for it because the lower part of the screen is completely unresponsive. I typed the pin password 0000 (i had a simple pin because i didn't plan on using it anymore back then) and it said it's not correct. I tried about 30 other possible passwords and none of them are working. After that i tried using droidkit but i need to pay, wondershare dr. fone but it needs usb debugging to be activated which isn't activated on my tablet. I also tried ADB but it also needs usb debugging. Finally i tried to give it a hard reset but here comes the worst part, i can't get it in recovery mode because every button comination i tried makes it boot as usual. I looked on the producer's site but there is no info about factory reset and neither in the instruction manual. Any ideas to what i could do? Forgot to say i don't remember the gmail adress with which i'm connected on it so i can't use android device manager to give it a factory reset [link] [comments] |
