Kudos to Android! Most of us were received an Earthquake Alert seconds before the actual quake. Posted: 24 Jul 2021 12:32 AM PDT Magnitude 6.7, July 24, 450Am Philippines. This tech is awesome! Edit: this is the alert that I received, thousands of people in twitter had this too. Edit: Why I think it's awesome? It makes you aware even it's just a few seconds before the quake happened. You know what to expect and how to react better and not panic. [link] [comments]

Almost all smartphone camera comparisons are flawed and pointless Posted: 24 Jul 2021 01:01 AM PDT Hi, just wanted to point this out. As stated in the tile, the real issue is that there is no reference point. What I mean by this is that the picture that looks closer to how you see things in person is objectively the best shot. The problem with these comparisons that you see on Youtube for example is that people just compare two different phone shots without showing us how the shot actually looks in person maybe using a proper DSLR. You need to show that in your comparisons as well when comparing two different phone cameras to actually make it easier to know which one is actually and objectively better. So ideally, you would have Phone X vs Phone Y vs a shot from a pro camera. These are my thoughts. [link] [comments]
