| Looking for an Android recording app. Posted: 04 Jun 2021 02:55 AM PDT Looking for a video recording app that can record, and not stop recording unless there's a pincode put in. I'd like this to be able to record myself if I'm ever confronted by a police officer for my safety & well being. This is also so they cannot delete the file. | Google Messenger can't send messages with VPN turned on Posted: 04 Jun 2021 11:22 AM PDT This is really dumb to me. I use Google Messenger that has Enhanced Chatting (RCS) features enabled. However, I use a VPN. For some dumb reason, messages cannot be sent or received while my VPN is active. Unless it is SMS, no messages come in or out. This seems really dumb of Google to block the usage of a VPN while using the app. [link] [comments] |
| Setting up an Android for a kid. Posted: 04 Jun 2021 09:31 AM PDT I have tried family link and I find it lacking. Kids can still look up inappropriate things via Google. Is there something I'm missing? Is there another app I can stack on top of this? My kids need phones but they just aren't respecting the limits. | Suspicious pop-up showing up when using Internet Samsung Posted: 04 Jun 2021 11:31 AM PDT I was using Internet Samsung to watch a video and it suddenly stopped. So I tried to quit the app but my phone wasn't working (when I touched the screen). After a while this showed up. As you can see on the screenshot I was on the homepage so it wasn't an ad or something like that. Even when I kept clicking on the homepage button (the circle on the bottom tab) it was all blocked. At first I thought it was one of those notices that your phone shows to warn you that the app isn't responding/working but they're usually on the bottom, not in the middle of the screen, and they explain what happened. And I wasn't even using the dark mode so it was supposed to be white, to black. This is the second time that something like that happens. P.S.: I didn't click on "OK" because it was too suspicious. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 08:42 PM PDT Running Android 11 on a Galaxy S10+ When I'm listening to music via YouTube Music (the app, not the website), any media with audio that I play in redditisfun, the text messaging app -or whatever else- automatically pauses YT Music. This would be tolerable if it automatically started playing again when the media in question ends but that doesn't happen. Using DDG, Google, or reddit search for a solution is difficult because -shocker- most results are related to youtube.com and not YouTube Music. TL;DR Is there a way to override the auto-pause feature when using Music streaming apps like YouTube Music? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 04 Jun 2021 06:59 AM PDT Hello, now this may seem stupid but the finger i use to unlock has been burnt and thus is no longer recognised by my sensor, i have other passwords to access my phone but the more secure apps i am having problems getting in, i can access them them via my PC but its a bit inconvenient. Is there anyway i can use one password to help change my fingerprint to another because i cant exactly use my burnt one to change it to a new one because it doesn't recognise it, or am i stuffed until its healed? Its not too much of a problem atm, but if my finger doesnt heal the same and leaves a deeper scar i may have problems? any help in just fixing it or resetting it would help [link] [comments] |

The problem is, that it's only working on WiFi. I habe the sites blocked for both ipv4 and ipv6. Can someone give insight to why this doesn't work? Thanks. Here's what my hosts file looks like:

Posted: 04 Jun 2021 04:00 AM PDT I'm wanting to install Lineage OS on my OnePlus Nord, but I've been using it for some time now and would therefore like to make a full backup, preferably all in one app/program. I've found that the ClonePhone app was the only application to do this correctly. However, I don't have a second phone on hand which to use this app with. With Google Drive backups I had several issues, including it not backing up local files, not choosing the most recent backup file as well as next to zero freedom to go into Drive and chose the most recent backup manually. Is there any good program that just lets me create a full backup to my PC which I can then load onto the flashed phone? [link] [comments] |

I have a new bank card and have removed it from my Google account. On all devices it is fine but my phone, for some reason that shows my old card which I removed.
