    I have a Mecool KM2 (Android TV version 10) with optical SPDIF audio output connected to Logitech speakers with Dolby Digital/DTS decoder support. When the HDMI output is connected to my TV, 5.1 audio passthrough works fine, to HDMI as well as to SPDIF. When the HDMI output is connected to my beamer without audio (or not connected to anything for that matter), the SPDIF sound is only PCM stereo.

    I configured the supported sound formats manually in the sound menu, but that does not help, it seems the SPDIF output only works in passthrough if the connected HDMI device supports it.

    What am I doing wrong ?

    I have a mecool mk6 with AndroidTV 10.
    I hook a SSD → Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB → using an external HDD case USB 3.1 to the box. The box recognized the HDD and I can format it as an external device (I don't want to get all app etc. on this External HDD).

    As soon as I want to try to add a directory or file I get the notification that the external HDD named "Android" is readonly !!!

    If I hook it to a windows 10 machine I can write on the external HDD without any problem. When I put it back on the Mecool MK6 read only again.

    Anyone knows how I will get this external SDD mounted to be writable?

    Google Home App Can't See 2 Mi Box 3's?

    I can't get my Google Home app on my phone or tablet to see my 2 Mi Box 3's. They aren't new and they've long since been setup in the Home app, it just can't seem to see them anymore recently. This was never a problem before.

    I've tried everything the help center in the Home app suggested and any other tips online I could find but still no luck. None of my settings have changed, all my devices are on the same Wi-fi connection they've always been on. I've unplug & restarted both boxes a million times.

    I can still cast video & music from apps from my phone to both boxes and those apps have no problem seeing the devices. It's just the Google Home app not recognizing them.

    I need to change some preference settings in the Home app for my 2 boxes but it won't let you do that without seeing & connecting to them. So right now I'm locked out of changing any of my settings for them.

    Any suggestions from anyone would be a huge help?

    I'm not a fan of the new home screen ads, but on my Jetstream I can at least toggle over to the apps tab (or discover). It looks like my tivo is on an older launcher that only has the home screen, which sometimes has some very irrelevant content I can't dismiss. Is there a way to update the launcher?

    Help!! Sharp Aquos and GoogleTV not working so annoyed

    Ugh, I bought Google tv to use as digital signage and it isnt working. Its really weird. Everything was working for the first five hours, then the tv went to 'no signal'. I looked at my inputs and it says chromecast.

    I had the same problem with a brand new shieldtv. I actually tried two now ones.

    I've switched hdmi ports and the same thing happens.

    Is there something with compatibility or something? Or is the tv dying?

    Any thoughts?

    TCL 4 series does not turn on sound bar over ARC

    My TCL 4 that came with Android TV (version 9) can turn on my sound bar over HDMI ARC and works well if I turn it on through the menu (System > TPLink > sound bar > power on), but it never comes on just when I turn the TV on.

    Soundbar is Yamaha ATS 2090.

    It's annoying to have to turn the bar on via the TV menu or a separate remote every time. What could be keeping it from coming on automatically?

    log in to you YouTube without the rest of the account?

    I don't want to give full access to my whole Google account to my TV for security reasons. is there a way I could authorize it to only access my YouTube account?

    I am currently facing an issue where android tv does not recognise my sandisk usb. I had to re-format the usb multiple times on my laptop this month for it to recognise the usb stick again. this isn't particle and I would like to find a long-term solution

    Android TV controllable Bluetooth speakers?

    Just setup a Tivo Stream 4k plugged into a ceiling mounted computer monitor. I'm currently using an Amazon echo 4th gen as the speaker, and found that I can't control the volume with the remote. Anyone know of any Bluetooth speakers that android TV can adjust the volume of directly through the remote?

    Sorry, this is really my first foray into stationary bluetooth audio. Thanks in advance!

    Slow videos on Kodi ?

    Some of the videos I watch from my Extrnal Hard Drive use cody have low Fram Rate.

    I think it becouse they are so huge and need to be converted to smaller videos.

    What setting I should use?

    I know how to convert I just need the right bitrate for 1080p videos to work right.

    or is there another way?
