Sony Bravia TV turns off on first boot.

I've got a SONY BRAVIA KD43XG8096BU, it's developed this really strange qwerk where after turning the TV on it will boot up, load the the say main menu screen then turn straight off again. I have to then power it back up a second time for it to stay on. The issue also happens when I run a Google command "Google, Open Netflix on the TV" it will power up, then turn off. If I say the command again it will work.

I've tried resetting the TV to default, does the same thing... I don't know what else to try & fix it?

    Looking to PHILIPS 32PFS6905/12

I was looking to buy this simple smart tv but somewhere in the reviews I saw someone mention it has a camera. Now I don't mind this at all but I looked everywhere and can't really find that this has a build in camera/ mic at all. Can anybody confirm? For the price I assume it doesn't.

Issue with wired ethernet and ADB Debugging.

    Posted: 15 May 2021 04:16 AM PDT

    Hi,

I recently bought a wired ethernet to usb adapter to use with my Xiaomi Box S 4K because the integrated wifi receiver is not good.

Everything is working fine but when I turn on ADB Debugging in Developer Settings the ethernet is not working anymore.

It doesn't detect the dongle anymore and so I'm forced to use Wifi with ADB Debugging.

My issue here is that I need wired ethernet and adb debugging always-on (for home automations w/ homeassistant) but something is disabling my ethernet dongle when ADB Debug. is on...

Does anyone knows anything about this ?
I already tried using RNDIS (ethernet USB), MIDI, MTP, AUDIO, etc but none of them work with ADB

    Have a nice day/evening

Is it just me or is the Android TV app almost completely useless?

    Posted: 14 May 2021 02:16 PM PDT

In my opinion the mobile app is really limited and would be nice if you could do more with it such as list out installed apps in order to launch them, etc.

Can't cast to CCwGTV with Wolf Launcher

    Posted: 15 May 2021 01:26 AM PDT

    Hi, how's it going?

I have a CCWGTV with Wolf Launcher installed. Ever since I updated my phone to Android 11 (a couple of weeks ago), I can't cast to the Chromecast anymore while Wolf Launcher is active. I have to revert to the stock launcher for casting to work.

    Anybody know anything about that?

    Thanks

Can I share/sync my Google watchlist with other accounts?

    Posted: 14 May 2021 12:28 PM PDT

My SO & I just bought a Google TV, and he linked it with his Google account.

Ideally it would be great if he & I could both maintain the same watchlist, adding things from mobile & web through the day & then seeing them on the TV. However, it looks like only his watchlist will show up on the TV.

Is there a way for us to share/sync a single watchlist from both of our separate Google accounts? We're in the same home group of that helps.

In theory, I could add my account to the Google TV and we could toggle between his & my accounts, but that's pretty cumbersome.

Has anyone here used an Android TV box with a built in DVB/ATSC tuner?

    Posted: 14 May 2021 02:30 PM PDT

I see these most commonly with the AMLogic S905D chipset. The built in tuner drives up the price a bit so I wonder are the tuners good or is it better to by a basic Android TV box and spend the extra money on a dedicated USB tuner card like what Hauppauge offers?

    USB on Android Tv

    Posted: 14 May 2021 01:28 PM PDT

So I got an Android Tv and use Tivimate for my tv. Wanted the option to record and couldn't figure out a way to record to the USB stick. I found that if I format the USB stick as Shared Storage, I could move tivimate to the USB stick and it would save the recordings there as well. It was a perfect plan, worked flawlessly until my tv updated. None of the apps on the USB stick would show up. So I tried to reformat and it succeeds, but then shows 0 bytes available. Tried again, and same problem. Got a new stick, set it all up, and next update had the same problem. Like WTF is going on?
