Mobile Legends : Bang Bang alternatives review

    Posted: 24 May 2021 10:14 AM PDT

So I got tired of playing MLBB and tried to switch to other mobile MOBAs. Here is my experience

    1. Arena of Valor : The game most similar to MLBB (I am not saying that as a compliment lol) . Many heroes are similar to their MLBB counterpart. Gameplay is good but graphics seems kinda obsolete. There are so many free stuffs to get including skins. But it also has imbalanced OP heroes like MLBB. And personally I feel like either the players suck or there's so many bots in lower tiers.

    2. Legend of Ace : very hard to buy any hero because the rewards after a game is so low. It has network issues and players keep finding themselves being kicked out of the game without any reason. It has a lot of pay to win mechanics.

    3. LOL Wild Rift: Don't get me wrong, the game itself is excellent but its hard for someone moving to this game after playing 4000 matches in other mobile mobas. I think it is an excellent game for people who are trying mobile mobas for the first time or shifting from PC mobas to Mobile mobas, but it seems way too slow for someone shifting from other mobile moba to this. When my teammate ask for my help at top while I am at the mid I felt like i was walking forever to reach top. The skins and heroes are well priced. You can buy much better than MLBB skins at way lower cost.

    4. Marvel Super Wars: Excellent graphics, excellent gameplay. The camera position is way lower and you cant change that which is kinda weird. Almost no good free stuff. Expensive skins.

    5. Onmyoji Arena: Graphics of this game is way ahead of anything of this list. The battle effects are mesmerizing. It had long queue issue but you can find teammate instantly in Asian server now. However all the heroes are japanese style characters, it has no variety in hero design sector. Another issue is ping sometime rises upto 400+.

( PS: wanted to try vainglory but everyone is saying this game is dead. Came to know "Honor of Kings " is the best mobile moba right now but it is a china only game)

MMA Rivals. A fun little MMA card battler

    Posted: 24 May 2021 09:37 AM PDT

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=e2p.io.mmarivals

Little gem that's just been released. You play as a MMA fighter trying to rise up the ranks. Using cards you gain by playing to game to fight.

Actually a fairly decent little game.

My only complaint is that the fights can be a bit slow

Survival game from Magic Survival developers

    Posted: 24 May 2021 09:26 AM PDT

I am sure many people here have tried Magic Survival, but there is a new game from the same developer called Animal Wizard (APK and Playstore links). It's almost identical in terms of gameplay and spell combinations, but has more upgrades and a storyline, though also has more IAPs than the predecessor.

Anyways, it's pretty fun and I find it has more incentives to keep playing it, so thought I would share it here.

    [DEV] Diamond Hands Apes

    Posted: 24 May 2021 08:52 AM PDT

Hello! I've made Diamond Hands Apes, a game where you can explore a large city clear buildings as an "ape". There is one boss and one level but I think I'll expand it in the future.

    You can download here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Bencike.DiamondHand3D

This is my first non-hypercasual game so it might be bad

    Thanks for any feedback!

Any recommendations on a 4X game for beginners?

    Posted: 24 May 2021 08:44 AM PDT

I've always wanted to dive into the genre, but every time I try, I get overwhelmed and end up missing a lot of details in how to do certain things. I've tried some of the Star Traders games, Uciana, FreeCiv, and Battle for Polytopia. Polytopia was one of the ones that I was able to play, but it's extremely simplified.

I prefer a space theme, but anything is fine really. If one of the ones I've already tried is recommended, is there a good tutorial I can use for them?

What are some no bullsh*t FPS on Android?

    Posted: 24 May 2021 08:27 AM PDT

So, I am looking for some FPS games on mobile without the usual bullsh*t like pay 2 win, grind to death, treating the player like a child etc.

Is there any FPS game that you can just download anytime and play? A server browser would be preferred even with small communities. Graphics don't need to be very good. No problem with rewarded ads or cosmetic IAPs

You guys have any idea for an FPS game like this on mobile? Also, I would prefer if the game is a bit lite rather than, say, 2gb size.

Im into pretty much anything as long as it's not f2p , I'll pay as long is it's good. Any must haves? I like RPGs, racing games, action adventure type stuff. Thanks!

[Discussion] Why are so many games riddled with bots?

    Posted: 23 May 2021 07:13 PM PDT

I stumbled on a game last night that had like 5k awesome reviews 4.6 score average. It's called Bullet League, a 2d battle royale. I got it and the tutorial was a lot of fun. Then I got to playing, played about 8 matches and only ran into bots...I won literally every single match and I know I'm not some god. I then tried squad mode, the 2 people on my team were real I could tell by their names. We took first place and had a combined total of 36 kills... literally all bots.

After that I decided to download pubg again and give it a try. I played 3 matches and won them all first place with 8+ kills per match.

I'm definitely not that good I've played probably 500 fortnite matches and only won maybe 10 times.

What is the fucking deal and why is nobody else pissed off??

Why the hate for mobile gaming?

    Posted: 24 May 2021 05:34 AM PDT

Ok, I get the fact that the shitty adds are irritating, microtransactions, money grabs, games for five year olds on the "highest rating page"... the list continues for a very, very long time

However, several popular and well loved games from other platforms (console and/or pc) have been very successfully ported onto mobile. Pubg, minecraft, call of duty, happy wheels, and ark survival are just a few examples.

And all of those games (with the exception of happy wheels) has controller support, so it's not like you are permanently restricted to using the bad touchscreen controls.

Aside from ported pc and console games, there are still several mobile-exclusive games (such as traffix, a better place, and Okay?, and retro bowl.) that are still phenomenal games. And yes, it's hard to find a decent mobile game, but that doesn't mean that they're not out there.

I just don't get the hate for mobile gaming. We essentially have a mini console on our pocket. A controller Is all you need to enjoy the world of mobile gaming fully.

If you could please enlighten me on why this branch of gaming is considered the "toilet"of gaming, that'd be great.

Looking for a specific genre of non P2W games, doesn't matter if they're free or paid.

    Posted: 23 May 2021 03:17 PM PDT

I'm looking for turn based strategy games with a bit of an odd preference: I like classic 2D and isometric style view. Think of games like Sid Meier's Civilization 3

[Request] Online competitive games with short rounds.

    Posted: 24 May 2021 12:07 AM PDT

I really enjoy competitive play, but I find the half hour rounds of Auto Chess, or most MOBAs are a bit too much (I know these games do have shorter game modes)

Im looking for a newish (Last year or so) or popular competitive games. The genre doesn't matter, card games, shooters, racing, etc... I dont mind on the genre

Also, I have played Clash Royale and am a bit burned out on it.

[Request] a game as similar as possible to the iOS game Trigger Fist

    Posted: 24 May 2021 01:35 AM PDT

I have a special fondness for that game but as I switched to Android I have never found a game super similar to it

Basically what it is (being as self explanatory as possible):

    3rd person shooter

    Offline as a majority

AI that is at least somewhat decent

    Different modes and maps

    That is basically it.

    Thank you
