    Goodbye 1945 Air Force

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 03:46 AM PDT

Since downloading this game in the summer of 2020, I have been addicted rarely missing a day to play. It has taken me 9 months to get a 10-star Teir II plane and I have mostly enjoyed it, but now I can't get past level 210 (currently there are 350 levels in the game). There are 4 main methods to upgrade planes: 1) cash 2) watch ads 3) keep playing the same 4 missions, 4x per day with minimal variations everyday 4) compete against other users.

It takes 2 hours per day to get the max upgrade points for methods 2, 3, and 4. To fully upgrade another Tier II plane would take at least 5 months, or approximately $800. Then it would cost me $100 more to merge these planes, and then even more money/hours to further upgrade the Teir III plane to start beating levels again. Fuck that, I'm done. I've already spent $80, which is the same as Super Smash Bros on the switch and I don't have to pay more or invest years doing the exact same thing everyday to fully experience the game. You literally need to spend thousands of dollars or months of time doing the same boring things to get anywhere near level 300.

In case the game devs are here and interested in how to get people like me to keep playing the game, here are my suggestions:

    1. Once I get to level 200, it costs me 100s or 1000s of gems to do anything, and I get 1 gem for beating level 201? Seriously? Higher levels should give higher resources, currently that is only true for gold. Make it true also for gems, medals, gold within levels, and everything.

    2. Frustrating to lose in multiplayer against players with much better planes, it's such a waste of time. The top most powerful planes per player should be equal or within 1-star.

    3. For missions and multiplayer and the daily ads, increase the min value by a lot for upgrade points as you progress.

    4. It's ridiculous how many enemies can shoot down your plane with one hit, cut it out.

    5. Just make it a flat thousand module points per star. Once you get a 10-star teir ii plane, it should not take months to progress further in the game.

    6. Module points for random planes that you are not using is frustrating, especially since you expanded the lineup which further dilutes the percentage of useful upgrade points. Random points should be given to the one of four planes that you are currently using, especially at higher levels.

    7. Make the rewards for multiplayer weekly like single player.

    8. Let me choose between gems, medals, or upgrade points to get 4x the reward for watching ads like it is for gold. Make it 5x though.

    9. Add another way to upgrade planes that is more rewarding for anyone stuck in the game like my situation. There is no way I am going to spend $800 for a digital plane, or spend the next 5 months watching ads or playing the same 4 missions to get to level 211.

For those who haven't tried this game, I do recommend it for the beginning (FTB). You don't have to spend a dime to have fun and the ads don't feel as annoying FTB because you are choosing to watch them. Graphics are great, the enemies and level designs are interesting, and the bosses are unique and challenging. But I thought that getting a 10-star Teir ii plane would get me much further, I wish I quit this game months ago.

Best way to share gameplay for Android games?

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 11:01 AM PDT

    Hey there,

I was looking to record or stream some gameplay footage of a few mobile titles, but I got stuck after I noticed the build in screen recording software of Xiaomi is taking the full phone resolution of 2400x1080 (or the very poor quality 1280x720).

That is unfortunately not a very pleasant format to share, so I was wondering if any of you guys has a better solution for this. Any chance I can get this to 1920x1080 instead? Buying an expensive capture card is not a choice and linking to a PC directly is for the phone not working I think (Poco F2 Pro)

Youtube wasnt very happy with the format and a friend of mine as well, when I tried to send it to him directly.

    Thanks for the help

[DEV] Just went OPEN BETA with my first game Super Ball Jump. A long 3 year journey... no eyes on it except my siblings, feels surreal. My aim was to create something fresh and unique for the platformer genre, specifically for touch platforms. Any feedback would mean the world to me.

Games like Rise of Kingdoms / State of Survival, but no PVP? Even better of premium game.

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 09:02 AM PDT

I found I really like Rise of Kingdoms, State of Survival, and Star Trek Fleet Command, until PVP starts coming up. I'm not a competitive gamer like that (unless it's board games), and just stop playing the moment the I realize the PVP aspect. Are there strategy games like this, free or paid, that don't have the PVP aspect?

Moonlight Stream Lag - is it my internet, or my tablet?

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 07:56 AM PDT

So I have just downloaded Moonlight Stream and I'm using my Asus Zenpad 3S 10 Android tablet, to stream games from my PC.

Unfortunately, some games lag quite a bit. My Internet speed is: 300 Mbps download, 6Mbps upload.

I would like to know whether the lag is caused by the fact that my tablet can't handle the games, or whether the Internet (especially the upload) is too slow.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you :)

EDIT: I should also mention that games like Rocket League run fine, while Killing Floor 2, a more resource intensive game, lags quite a bit. Is that because the tablet has to stream a more complex image, which requires more bandwidth, or is it due to my tablet's specs not being good enough?

[Request] Looking for GPS RPGs, or maybe just any GPS game.

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 01:38 AM PDT

Posted something like this a few years ago, checking up whether I've missed anything. Looking for something that use GPS, has heavy user interaction so it's actually engaging, has a good character or party building system, and preferably some actual depth to monsters and items and game areas. It would look like this in a perfect world.

Played Ingress and Pokemon Go and Harry Potter, of course. Orna requires too much commitment in the end game to do anything worthwhile. Journey Online is more tactical than GPS, but I like its direction. Magic Streets seem to need more content, but the execution of what it has is good. The Forage had way too little interaction for what I'm looking for.

Anyone know of something I overlooked?

All I play currently is clash royale. I like CoC but prefer vertical. I'm looking for games similar to CoC, Gwent, even plague, inc. etc.

Latency with game streaming on my Bravia TV

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 06:33 AM PDT

Latency with game streaming on my Bravia TV

When I stream games from my pc to my Bravia VU1 at 1080p and below (through steam link and moonlight), there's a 1 sec delay between me pressing a button and the game responding.

I've done some testing to deduce the issue

    • Game mode is on on my tv, other picture processings are off.
    • It's not the network. Both my pc and tv are wired, my phone is connected to a 5ghz band, network speed test on my tv and phone (connected to a 5ghz band) give equivalent results. My phone can be streamed to with high res and bitrate just fine

So it's either my screen is still unresponsive in game mode or most likely that my tv's hardware encoder can't process it fast enough.

Could you do me a favor and identify what exactly is causing this? My Bravia VU1 is seemingly equipped with an ARM rtd287o processor.

What's your favorite map painter/ worldbuilding game?

    Posted: 16 Mar 2021 06:30 PM PDT

Ive played a lot of different kinds, like the world conquerer series, age of cvilization 2, worldbox, and a handful of 4X games like uciana. I just wish games like these had proper diplomacy gameplay, I think everything I have tried is always either super broken or non existent.

I still enjoy games like these anyway though, and was wondering if there's anything im missing out on, even if the diplomacy is trash. I do prefer offline games for this genre since I like playing at my own pace usually. Any favorites?

[REQUEST] Looking for some new games to play.

    Posted: 16 Mar 2021 06:27 PM PDT

Hi, I've been trying to look for some new games for a while not but really can't find much. There's only 3 games that I play alot which are: Soul Knight, Shattered Pixel Dungeon, and Otherworld Legends. I'm looking for roguelike games that are replayable. I'm also open to other genres of games like platformers, FPS games, racing games and puzzle games. I'm not a fan of card games, sport games, and MMO's. I especially don't like idle games because I personally find them boring. I'm ok with ads but I'd prefer it to be little to none. I hope I can discover some new games. I also like Death Road to Canada but I play it on console. Thanks!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm a fan of retro games which is pretty obvious from my username.

[REQUEST] any good city building game?

A key "features" I'm looking at is the player isn't required to play for long times a day to advance in the game. Any suggestion?
