Looking for a particular youtube video about Kotlin Coroutines (2 - 3 years old minimum) Posted: 11 Dec 2021 07:34 AM PST A few years ago I watched an excellent video (a talk or conference style video) about Coroutines and the rationale behind the api design. The talked about the history of async programming from futures/callbacks to how async/await in C# set the standard and how coroutines built upon that and made some different choices like not requiring an await style keyword prior to every async method call. I really want to watch it again, years later now that it would make more sense to me but I cannot find it and its not in my youtube history. Have any of you seen this specific video and if so, could you give me the link? [link] [comments]
What is the most community supported brand? Posted: 11 Dec 2021 10:47 AM PST I'd like to know which, obviously in your opinion, is the currently most supported brand by the community and independent developers. For me phone hardware is not so important because after all its more or less the same no matter what brand. However bad access to community made software and roms can make a phone way worse imo. Posted: 10 Dec 2021 10:06 PM PST Have you ever used services like sensor tower? As an individual developer, it is difficult to predict what kind of app I need to make to succeed in the market. The service feels pretty expensive by my standards, is it worth it? [link] [comments]

Can a Android device connect to more than one Wifi Direct Group Owners simultaneously? Posted: 11 Dec 2021 04:24 AM PST I'm planning on making a chat app that doesn't use the internet but rely on crowdsourcing of android devices with the app. I found that Wifi Direct can be used for P2P groups but I don't know if it is possible to connect to multiple group owners. I also find this post from StackOverflow, but I'm not sure if it is still the same today. [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Dec 2021 03:08 AM PST I have real-time listener for last 50 messages. The problem is when new messages arrive old message at the top gets removed because of onchildremoved in childeventlistener. It is not a good ux when user is reading that message. But I need to write code to remove the message in child removed when message is deleted from db I need to remove it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Dec 2021 01:12 AM PST I have done a portable installation of Android Studio using the provided ZIP file. However, the ZIP file does not include the Android SDK. To my knowledge, the SDK can be downloaded only through the Android Studio EXE, which requires admin rights. Is there a way I can download the SDK as a standalone ZIP file, for Windows? This page is a dead end: https://android-doc.github.io/sdk/index.html. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Dec 2021 08:26 PM PST Hey, I'm looking for a good resource for sound effects. I don't mind a paid subscription based one. Things I've tried is Zapsplat, Mixkit and Opengameart. They are pretty good, but I'm looking for something better. [link] [comments] |
