| CCwGTV disable YouTube pop-up menu? Posted: 12 Feb 2021 06:23 PM PST With the Google TV remote, if you hold down the YouTube button a menu pops up allowing you to select the function of the button. Does anyone know a way to disable this menu? I'm using a button mapper app to give additional function to the buttons, but the selection menu keeps popping up. [link] [comments] |
| Opening App store without going to Settings > Apps Posted: 13 Feb 2021 03:10 AM PST I've bought the latest GCC with Android TV and I'm finding the device incredibly frustrating. 30 minutes to type some long URLs and passwords I needed (setup was easy though) and then I wanted to download an app and there was no way I could find apps in the app store, so I had to go to Settings > Apps > Goole Store > Open App. WTH is this? Is there no easy way to open the app store in this thing? [link] [comments] |

Directly on the device the app is not found at all and when I want want to install it via the PC I cannot select the Chromecast ("This app is not compatible with your device"). Thank you! | Android TV ads keep coming back Posted: 12 Feb 2021 05:50 PM PST We have a Sony TV that we purchased about a year ago that is getting the infamous Google recommendations. I uninstalled the updates for the Android TV app, but the ads keep coming back. I have auto updates turned off. What I end up having to do is install the Android TV update and then uninstall the Android TV update under the settings. If I change the input or even use some apps on the tv, the recommendations come back. Has anyone found a solution to this? [link] [comments] |

For one of these I would need a "pinch-zoom" gesture though... and all I have is a mouse and a keyboard. Is there a way to emulate such gestures on AndroidTV? Many thanks! [link] [comments] |
