Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:34 AM PST For the last two weeks or so, my battery life has been terrible. It has to be charged a few times a day and also will lose 40% of its battery overnight. Checking on what is using battery, this 10055 app comes up as the culprit. Screenshot below: I can't find anything about it on Google. Anyone know what it is and how to stop it absolutely killing my battery life? [link] [comments] |

Any way to make Android more mouse and keyboard friendly Posted: 13 Feb 2021 08:10 AM PST Maybe a launcher that looks similar to Window's desktop layout. [link] [comments] |
When I'm in a phone call, I hear a *beep* every time I receive a notification. How do I disable it? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 09:12 AM PST I use a Pixel 3a with the latest Android. It's super annoying to hear this notification all the time while in a call. It's not even my default notification sound. It's a light beep. I've searched in the settings and googled, but haven't found an answer. [link] [comments] |

I need phone recommendation please Posted: 13 Feb 2021 11:56 AM PST I mostly watch youtube, surf on reddit and internet so, screen quality and resolution is important for me. Memory and storage is important to. I had to chance my phones just because of this. Lastly if it has a good camera it is extra point but not necessary. Can't sure about budget i am open all recommendations but it is better when under 500$. [link] [comments] |
Question about privatizing my keyboard app via a firewall Posted: 13 Feb 2021 11:47 AM PST I'm trying to make my Android's keyboard private. I gave AnySoftKeyboard a shot but it's no good for me. So now I'm looking at using a no-root firewall (NetGuard) with SwiftKey to block its internet access. I'm not very techy so forgive my ignorance, but it seems like I can't run NetGuard and my always-on VPN at the same time. I want to continue using my VPN, so do I have any alternative to make sure the keyboard's internet access is blocked? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2021 08:01 AM PST So I'll start with a bit of background to help understand what I'm looking for. I'm a service technician for an ISP, so I quite often have to contact clients from my cell phone when I can't find their house or I'm running late. (I know, that NEVER happens, right?) However, I don't want these clients contacting me directly the next time they have a problem, I'm not a personal tech support line, so I block my caller ID. The problem is that when I need to call my personal contacts (wife, kids, boss etc) I need them to know who's calling. I used to have an app that allowed me to globally block my number but allow it when the number being called was in my contacts. It stopped working 5 or 6 Android versions ago and haven't been able to find something similar on my own since. And so in a long delayed moment of brilliance, I turn to you to see if anyone else has solved this issue. [link] [comments] |

Remapping Controller for games without touchscreen input Posted: 13 Feb 2021 11:22 AM PST Hey guys, today my controller died and I had to resort to using my Dualsense that I bought for playing games on my PC. Sadly the Button mapping is completely wrong. I'm still searching for a Keymapper for Android that doesn't needs my Smartphone to be rooted. I found some Apps like Mantis Pro however they only work for Apps with Touchscreen Support (you have to your Keys as touchscreen objects over the touch Inputs from the game). So here's my question: Is there any way I can remap my controller for Apps like Game Pass or Geforce Now on Android without root and without the usage of touch objects so it would be possible to play games that don't support touchscreen input? I'm using a Galaxy S10 with Android 11 Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] |

Clicking on a place I've been to in Maps pops up Questions and Answers in a new window Posted: 13 Feb 2021 11:19 AM PST This has happened for over a year. I recently did a full reset on my OnePlus 7T (but restored Google backup) and it still happens. What's up any clue? I believe it used to just have a Q n A strip at the bottom. [link] [comments] |
System partition is getting bigger and bigger, and I am losing my storage space... Posted: 13 Feb 2021 10:44 AM PST I use Lenovo Phab 2 plus, and it's rooted. Since the last update, my "System space" is alway increasing, it's already at 15 gigabytes, and I only have a total of 32...😰 I need help FAST!😰😰😰 [link] [comments] |
I really need help with my Samsung Cloud account Posted: 13 Feb 2021 10:40 AM PST Long story short, I accidentally removed my gallery from my Samsung Cloud account and now most of my pictures are gone. A while back I accidentally deleted my entire gallery, but I had a Samsung Cloud account so I was able to restore it. Recently, I removed my gallery from my account and before I realized it, all the pictures I had restored before, were gone from my gallery. My data got backed up, the only problem was that it backed up all the pictures I had not restored before, while most of my gallery being missing. So all the recent pictures I took after I accidentally deleted and restored my gallery are still there and backed up, but all the ones before that are gone. I really need those pictures back and I'm not having any luck with all the stuff I've tried so far. The only backup I have is the one after most of my gallery disappeared. If anyone knows a way I can get those pictures back, please tell me. [link] [comments] |

Notification sounds for apps not Working. Posted: 13 Feb 2021 10:19 AM PST The regular Snapchat notification that I'm used to hearing isn't going off whenever I get a snap notification, and it was after 'One Ul 3'. Is anyone else having this problem? [link] [comments] |

My phone restarts on its own every now and then Posted: 13 Feb 2021 10:09 AM PST I have a Samsung A50, and every few days it restarts on its own whenever I'm not using it. I read somewhere that some apps may cause that for some reason, not sure if it's true tho. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2021 09:38 AM PST Does the Samsung tab s7 series and the S6 series allow for portable storage like flash drives USB, portable hard disk drive and portable SSD to connected? Im looking to buy the Samsung tab s7+ but I want to buy it to mostly watch videos specifically tv shows and movies directly from my portable ssd storage. File types mostly consist of mkv and mp4 files. I'm not looking to copy and paste the file onto the tabs internal storage and play the video files from there. Is what I'm asking for possible to do on the tab s7+ ? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2021 09:27 AM PST Hey everyone, Does anyone know some (preferably Russian speaking, or English as a second language friendly) video guides on how to use the Android operating system? I'm trying to teach my grandfather but he is absolutely clueless. I'm either constantly fixing shit, or he just suffers with issues. I think he just needs a solid understanding of the base Android concepts, notification shade, etc to use it but I fail to explain it myself. Like, he will get an emergency alert, which hides in the notification shade if you click off it, which he of course did. Then he just lives with a siren going off on his phone for a week. It's unbearable. Please, any advice or tips are appreciated. [link] [comments] |
How can I transfer my authenticator accounts across a factory reset? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 09:22 AM PST My phone crapped itself after a few months (as usual), and I'm planning on factory resetting it. I have 6 accounts in Google's authenticator for 2FA purposes. When I select "Transfer," it gives me a QR code that I can scan with my new phone. I'm not getting a new phone. I'm factory resetting. How can I do so without getting locked out of my accounts? [link] [comments] |
USB-C storage devices not being recognized by Pixel 2XL Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:13 AM PST I have a few USB-C thumb drives and memory card adapters I can pop into my phone to easily transfer files around. Recently, I noticed my SD card adapter was stuck on "charging" mode when I would connect it, so I was unable to do anything with my files. Same with my thumb drives. I don't know exactly when this began but I never had any issues before. Searching online just brings up phone to PC file transfer issues no matter how I phrase my search. Any ideas? I know heat will damage phone battery, but how easy it is to happen? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:03 AM PST Maybe its due to hot weather or me forgetting to close a game running in the background, I left my phone (that are still new) to charge for about 1-2 hours, came back and it is hot. Is that enough to damage it? I guess i need to be more careful from now on. [link] [comments] |
