TCL 55" Class 4 AndroidTV - severe A/V sync issues when casting a TAB to TV Posted: 14 Jan 2021 09:33 PM PST I bought this TV a little more than a month ago. I have no complaints really except for this one . Say I am on my Windows desktop, I start a stream (maybe an NBA game). I can't cast the video directly to the built in chromecast, but I can cast the tab. But that's where the problem arises. The audio continues on perfectly, but once I make the video fullscreen, the video plays at about ~80% speed, which means it only takes a few seconds for the video to get wayyy out of sync with the audio. Obviously this is completely unwatchable. Interestingly, I can cast the same exact tab playing the same video to my Chromecast Ultra (which is connected to another TV) just fine. Maybe MORE interesting, I can cast the same tab from my Pixelbook to the TCL TV just fine as well. So I am not sure why this issue pops up ONLY when casting a tab from my Windows desktop to the built in Chromecast in the TCL TV. I've tried Googling but it's tough to nail down this exact issue. I live in Canada and was really hoping the TSN app would be available but it is not. I can still cast this app from my phone to the Google TV but that is not what i want to do. Philips TV not loading BBC iPlayer/itv hub Posted: 14 Jan 2021 03:46 PM PST Hi everyone! UK specific question here; just got a Philips 4K TV in the January sales and I'm in love with it, however today I went to watch something on BBC iPlayer and the app wouldn't load, just had a loading circle which changed to a black screen. Tried ITV hub and 4OD which do the same thing, but apps like Netflix and Disney+ loaded just fine. Already tried pulling the plug/restarting, clearing internet memory and install and then uninstalling updates for it, so I'm a bit stumped! Using the CCwGTV I can add another account globally, but can't see a way to switch or let the youtube app be on that user. Am I missing something? thx! KM3 Remote Posted: 14 Jan 2021 09:41 PM PST Just got my Mecool KM3 and it's working great. I noticed that the remote uses infrared, if I put my hand in front of it, the signal won't catch. If i choose the GCWGTV will it provide better picture and sound quality then the Ultra? Either will be hardwired to a up with Hisense H55 Android TV on a network with 200mbps. Sony X900F won't recognize USB after recent update, only works after a restart every time. Posted: 14 Jan 2021 11:09 AM PST Hey guys I had this TV for years with no issues however now I'm noticing that the USB does not stay recognized. It will only work if I go into settings and choose restart which reboots the TV. The USB then gets recognized and works no probs but then if you come back hours later, the USB is no longer recognized and TV says nothing is connected. Then I have to restart the TV which takes a full minute and then it works. What gives? I tried using/plugging it into a different USB port and still same thing. Why does the TV just give up on recognizing the USB after a couple hours? I wonder if it's failing to keep the usb port on when on standby and then doesn't turn it back on when it comes back from standby, only from a fresh reboot? Anyone else having this issue after the most recent update? I've tried different USB sticks and the different ports and nothing works unless it's freshly restarted... Edit: I'm now noticing that the built in Chromecast has also disappeared and I can't get it to come back. It's like it just died.
