| Just installed android x86 but having problems Posted: 19 Jan 2021 05:41 AM PST I just installed android x86 on an old PC and it only boots with the nomodeset flag. But when this flag is used it runs in a low resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio. When I boot without the flag I see the resolution change to 1080p but instead of the android logo appearing the screen just becomes a glitchy mess. I know it has an old Nvidia GPU but i'm not sure which one. [link] [comments] |

And when I plug it into my computer its recognized as QHSUSB_BULK pls help Edit 1: It is hardbricked and with the Qualcomm drivers it comes out as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 when I plug it into a computer [link] [comments] |

resolution > 1000*2000 100 - 400 canadian/us bucks
requirements were lowered did i miss anything else important? or didnt consider? need above requirements, or if nothing fits requrieemnts, then whichever options come closest ill put ideas/suggestions in my excel google sheet to compare things
there some ppl that say there were no options for these requirements but all of them were wrong here's shortlist that ppl say meets ALL the requirements
shortlist without 5g data here's shortlist where dont know the exact android version so that isnt safe to get
here's ideas that just ppl just mentioned, no idea yet if they have requirements
main use
here's things that dont matter really:
with the options, later on ill compare main options and ill decide

Ive tried the common fixes like flipping the phone and recalibrating gps and tried a few gps diagnostics apps that say how many sattilites im connected to (have no idea what the app does) It will show my position on a map almost a half a mile in any random direction from where i am. it will never update correctly.... until a few hours into a car trip will it "somewhat" show what road im on correctly. but it will still show me driving backwards or facing weird directions and never give turn by turn directions. the phone is an sch-r960 [link] [comments] |

Those two were my go to for weather widgets. My stupid ass then installed TWRP (yes I rooted with no custom recovery); never used it, but today I was going to update to MIUI12 and the device booted to TWRP, which blocked the installation. The process to install the update on my cellphone, it seems, is quite complicated and includes a lot of risks. So I'd rather not update it. | Posted: 19 Jan 2021 02:16 AM PST I really don't know what happened, but on my Xiaomi Mi 9T my gallery is somehow completely messed up. My gallery app itself works completely normal, everything is in order, but when I want to post something to instagram, snapchat or some other app with an media browser, the first pictures it shows are from 2019. I don't know what I can do to fix this, I remember that I reenabled gallery synchronisation yesterday, maybe that was the error? I also tried to delete media storage cache and it's storage to let it resort itself but it didn't help. Maybe somebody has an idea what I can try, because I'm already thinking about resetting my phone because its so annoying. Edit: By now It got even worse, now some files from another folder (which are from yesterday) are on top, but below these files there still completely wrong and starting from 2019 again. | I can't upgrade my P Smart Z to Android 10/EMUI 10 Posted: 19 Jan 2021 09:20 AM PST So as I said in the title, I cannot upgrade my Huawei P Smart Z to Android 10 even if I tried every possible method (HiCare/Support App, Beta tests are no more available, I even downgraded to an older version, maybe I could receive the 10.0 update - nothing happened and downloading a compatible version from the Internet actually failed). Have Googled TF out of this and can't seem to find anything other than ONE post on Sony forums same problem, zero responses. Affects ALL URL web links in text messages (URL works fine on other systems) Has all latest updates downloaded and installed. Any ideas / troubleshooting tips please? My friend gave me their old Galaxy S7 (upgrade for me) which was on a Verizon network. All features on the phone work great including text and calls but I cannot access the internet or GPS/Google maps unless connected to Wi-fi. Cell data is on. Airplane mode is off. Data usage limits are off (turned off not set to zero). I have reset data settings several times. I have even tried manually setting Access Point Names by following some online guides. Nothing works. Is it possible this phone is just locked to Verizon or incompatable with my SIM for some reason? [link] [comments] |

For some reason a bunch of realtors and home flippers believe I am the owner of a home 2,500 miles away and are texting me frequently about buying my home (that is not my home). I've been spamming and blocking them one by one but that doesn't really get me anywhere, and this has been going on for months. Is there some way I can just block all texts from the entire area code? I was using it and it switched off and couldn't go past the Xiaomi Logo on the restart. It boots once every 4 hours or so and goes back into boot loop after a few minutes. It seems to be a common problem with the brand. Read on a forum that the problem is caused by 'removing the "Telephone"-permission from the "Contacts and dialer" app and that one user solved the issue by 'Adding all permissions in contacts& dialer'. | Posted: 19 Jan 2021 07:22 AM PST Hey, I am using the gallery app from simplemobiletools and I love it. So much that I uninstalled the files app and replaced it with the simplemobiletools app too. Everything worked perfectly fine until now. When I try to delete a picture from my SDcard (I can see them) I get the notification that the app needs permission to do that, but there is no way to grant it in my device, as it I think it is embedded into the standard files app from android (not Google files) that I deleted with adb. | Scheduling texts on google messages Posted: 19 Jan 2021 03:28 AM PST About two months ago there was a post on r/android saying that the ability to schedule text messages was being rolled out slowly to select users. Then there was another post about a month ago saying it was going live to everyone. I was excited to see the post because I have an odd sleep schedule and this was a favorite feature of mine on my previous app. Now that it was coming to google messages I wouldn't have to switch between two apps. But now it seems the roll out time has come and gone and I can't seem to find the scheduling anywhere. My initial thought was that I was missing it so I googled how to schedule and found it was exactly the process I expected. Type message, hold the send button until a menu pops up, and then pick a date/time. However when I hold the send button, the only thing that shows is the ability to mark the text as urgent and add a subject line. My next thought was that the app needed to be updated, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I then thought it might only be going live on the beta so I joined the beta and checked again, but still nothing. Has anyone used this feature? And if so, how do you use/enable it?
