| 32" Android Tablet - trying to access out of kiosk mode Posted: 10 Dec 2020 06:55 AM PST Hi Hope this is the appropriate subreddit. I've picked up a 32" Android Tablet from a clearance auction. It's obviously been used as a touch screen kiosk in a computer shop. It boots up with the android logo then straight in to a kiosk mode. There's no power switch and any buttons at all. | Phone lagging when charging below 10% Posted: 10 Dec 2020 03:30 AM PST Hey i have question about my phone which is Nokia 6.1 Plus, its lagging when i charge my phone below 10% then after 30s its normal again, when i charge above 10% it just lag for very short amount of time. | iPhone Phone Playlists to Android Music Player Apps/Spotify Posted: 09 Dec 2020 11:50 PM PST A similar type of question has been asked this before and it looks like the consensus to get iTunes to sync to Android is with iSyncr and use the synced music to play through Rocket Player. I have a little bit of a different question. I switched over to a Pixel 4a a few days ago and am looking for a way to grab the playlists on my old iPhone SE 1st gen and put them onto an Android music app and/or Spotify. To be clear, the music is already downloaded on my Pixel 4a in the files, but the lists are not. Rocket Player wasn't playing some songs for some reason even after it looks like it downloaded everything, so a similar app suggestion would be appreciated. One semi-solution I found was to use Soundiiz to get my iTunes Playlists to Spotify. That worked by exporting playlists from iTunes one by one to txt files and uploading those txt files to that site -- thus taking an iTunes Playlist and having Spotify come up with a playlist. However, I would need to do that one by one and that is something I would like to avoid since I have many many playlists. Any help would be great! [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 10 Dec 2020 11:46 AM PST So a while back I cracked my phone screen and the digitizer went shortly after. Being out and about doing business and needing a phone right away for work, I popped into a nearby Best Buy to get an unlocked phone. My only option was a Samsung Note 10, thinking maybe it'll grow on me. Months later I still hate it. I don't want to buy another phone. Is there a custom ROM out there for it isn't too buggy and retains the ability to pull the stylus out and jot down a quick note (it's the only feature I really like about it)? | Galaxy S8+ having charging issues Posted: 10 Dec 2020 09:56 AM PST So I couldn't post this on the general Android subreddit for some stupid reason, so here I am. The issue is it takes my phone forever to charge and either I'll see the system say the time until full charge is something absurd like 9 hours, 14 hours, or a full day because why not. Or it'll just stop charging despite the fact my recently bought cord is fully plugged into the phone and wall. I put my phone on the charger yesterday when it was at 17% and woke up to it at 41%. After 9 hours. Is there some technical thing I can do, special cord I can buy, because I do need my phone in the mornings and having it at less than a half charge regularly isn't helpful [link] [comments] |

| Customize Android text selection menu? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 09:03 AM PST LG V20 VS995 Android 8.0.0 stock ROM rooted with TWRP recovery Does anyone know if you can edit the options in the text selection menu? It's cluttered in the LG stock ROM and I don't use half the menu functions. Cut, paste, copy, select all are all the options I need, but these other options (clip tray, translate, share, etc) are in the way, and some of them are inconsistently available so I can't even use muscle memory to work around them because the location of "select all" changes seemingly randomly! My phone is rooted and has a custom recovery so I have total control over the phone and I'd like to get rid of the superfluous menu options. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 10 Dec 2020 02:40 AM PST I bought an Android A10 I believe over Amazon (it was a refurbished international phone strictly for wifi) but I went to try a SIM chip in it and it didnt register. So I googled how to allow permissions for the SIM toolkit app and I am still getting a "No Permissions Allowed" message after much attempt at fixing the issue. I have a screenshot of what my screen looks like but it seems it wont let me connect it for you guys to this thread. Also when I go to check the network it simply says "Not Available". Am I not allowed to even use a SIM at all in this phone due to it being from the states and I am in Canada, is it locked, what's the deal? I want to make sure I do 4 sessions of push ups every day so I want to just have 4 check boxes on my home screen that I can check off as I do them. I want it to look aesthetically pleasing though so just the checkboxes, no description above or below, just 4 white boxes. Once you turn on data saver, mobile hotspot no longer functions and is unable to be turned on. The issue with this is I sometimes use my phones hotspot for gaming and I don't want any lag issues due to a picture recieved, our automated update, etc. I want completely uninterrupted, dedicated hotspot service. But he didn't give her any password, I've been looking for ways to get it unlocked but we ended up accepting that maybe it's better not to look into his files. His Phone was a **Xperia XZ Premium**, Support told me that they have a software/way to do this but I would have to send them the phone mid pandemic, I tried the Sony's official companion tool but they won't do anything since "the device is locked". | Samsung Galaxy A51 5G Charging Advice Posted: 09 Dec 2020 11:05 PM PST Recently bought a Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, the phone is great but the charging cord it came with is so short, like about 2.5 ft. So I figure I'd just another cord that's longer. However, this is my first phone that uses usb-c port. Trying to search for other cords/chargers seems like there's lots of issues out there. Lots of knockoff chargers claiming to be samsung chargers that aren't. Does it matter if I use a cable that isn't from samsung? Can I still use the Adapter from my old phone with a new cord? (old phone was Galaxy S7) I guess I'm just looking for general advice on things I should worry about or look for when it comes to charging cables and adapters for my phone since my phone isn't a flagship there seems to be less support to figure things out for it. | Colour intensity changes automatically Posted: 10 Dec 2020 05:01 AM PST On my oneplus 6 I've noticed recently that the colours are way to vibrant especially red tones. When I go to settings and change the display calibration to natural it goes back to normal. For a bit. Then at some point it just changes back to this high intensity setting which I really don't like. I can't say what triggers it sadly. | How do I get the best use of a Dual-Sim phone? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 09:06 PM PST I just recently got a Xperia XZ1 Dual with android 9.0, I'm planning on using the 2 sim cards, one for personal contacts and one for business. Right now I've only managed to use the phone line on each sim and the normal message app. What I need to use are the apps whatsapp, messenger and telegram (mostly) individualy on each sim. I've found some apps that kinda duplicate whatsapp so I can use two accounts, but I would like to see what other options exist. Also, at the moment I haven't found the option (if it exists) to have like a sim in airplane mode or disabled and the other active, I just find all the properties but can't change any option.
