Games on android similar to monopoly?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 05:51 AM PST

    Hi folks!

So I have been playing monopoly on android a lot recently and while it's a fun game it becomes repetitive after a while.

That's why I decided to ask the experts here if there are similar games like monopoly on the playstore. I'm not looking for Monopoly clones though, because most that I tried were not fun.

    Thank you in advance!

Is there an android gamepad mapper app that's similar to octopus but doesn't have a very intrusive list of permissions?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 10:42 AM PST

Basically "octopus" is a gamepad, keyboard and mouse mapper. It works fine but if you look at the permissions, it's very intrusive. The problem is that all other mapper apps require root access. I don't want to root my devices because in addition to both the issue of safety and the fact that I don't know how to root, according to the xda forums, my devices have never been consistently rooted successfully. Is there an app that functions like octopus that doesn't have a list of permissions so large that some of which I've never even heard of?

    Need game recommendation for parents.

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 06:50 AM PST

Hello everyone, during lockdown I gave my parents an android smartphone so they can kill some time. I installed two games, Candy crush and Spider Solitaire. They ditched candy crush because of wait time and have been playing Spider solitaire nonstop for upto 8hrs a day.

I tried introducing them to new puzzle games but they always return back to spider solitaire. Maybe because it's challenging? They play games of upto 3 decks - _ -

Please recommend me some challenging (not super unbeatable ones) games, but simple, so I can introduce my parents to new games amd further enhance their gaming experience.

    Thanks for reading. :)

[Dev] Super Virus Defense - Finally released final version of my game (currently 224 ratings / 4.7 average)

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 10:24 AM PST

After more than one year developing this game, I can finally say I achieved one of my life goals which is to release a full and finished game.

It's an arcade shooter with some tower defense / plants vs zombies influence whose initial idea was (believe it or not) conceived before all this covid mess.

The game is free with only optional ads, I'd love to hear what you guys think:

I know that the three games have been removed from the Play Store, but does anyone know why exactly they were removed? I've looked through different social media posts and sites but there's seemingly no explanation as to why they were removed.

    [DEV] WaveDash finally released!

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 05:27 AM PST

Hello everyone, after struggling with Unity i finally managed to publish my first ever game on the PlayStore: WaveDash!

I never finished any of the games i have started as they were way to ambitious but reaching the point where i could say such things as "released" or "completed" makes me very proud!

WaveDash is a simple "Dungeon Crawler" with infinite waves of enemies and upgrades with graphical customization in mind, everyone can personalize the aspect of the game!

I hope someone will enjoy this simple game!

Games that are optimized or work well streaming from PC to Android?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 06:22 AM PST

The Spire works amazingly well. Minor complaints about the touch controls, but all things considered I've played 50hrs on my phone with touch controls and am happy. You could argue that with a decent connection, using a mouse and keyboard with android means all games work well.

I'd still like to hear if anyone does have any games they really enjoy streaming to their phone with m/kb or controller, but I'm most interested in ones that work well/decent enough with touch controls. Any recommendations?

Looking for a good party based rpg

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 03:51 AM PST

    Hi fellow android gamer !

I'm looking for a good party based rpg on android :

    • I don't mind if it's a premium game
    • no ads
    • no "gacha" system
    • OK graphics
    • both real time & turned based are ok
    • very important : managing a party of adventurers with defined roles (tank, heal, caster, buffer, dd, CCer, etc.)
    • no PC / console games port (already played IE games, kotor, xcom, FF and co)

Game that I already played and that may fit this description : ara fell, doom & destiny, Knights of pen & paper ...

Looking for the gem I missed ! If it exists ...
