    Hi! I need a new phone and I personally prefer a galaxy if possible. I can choose between:

    • Galaxy S20 (Exynos) for 550 EUR
    • Galaxy S20FE 5G (865) for 610 EUR

    I am having a really hard time deciding. Does anyone have experience with both? I know the snapdragon version is better for performance, but I am not sure if I care or not. I don't game at all on my phone (currently and S8 that has bricked itself...), but I care a lot about battery life. Is the FE worth the extra 60 EUR for what I understand is better battery life? Thanks!

    How do you stop contacts from syncing

    I have some premium apps on my dads account that I don't want to buy again on my own account so I added my dads account to my phone

    problem is he has like 700 contacts that are now synced to my phone
    they go away if I remove the account but I don't want to remove it

    is there a way to remove the contacts from my phone while keeping the account signed in

    device: google pixel 2 xl
    I have tried turning off automatic sync before logging the account in but that doesn't do anything

    My mom was having issues with her phone "popping up a black screen that looks weird". I didn't believe her but got her a new phone and this is happening to the new one.

    Hello, I have a Xiaomi redmi 8 and I want to port Ubuntu touch with halium but I don't even know how to start in order to port a device for a custom ROM, can anyone help? I have found quides like the official but I don't even know how to do the things it tells me to because I haven't done anything like this, can anyone help?

    Sometimes google assistant forgets it just asked me a question, and just searches for what I said

    For example:

    "Ok google, create a reminder"

    "What's the reminder?"

    "Go buy shoes made out of aerogel"

    "Listings for 'go buy shoes made out of aerogel' near Middlesex"

    And then it shows me search results for "Go buy shoes made out of aerogel". Needless to say, this is frustrating. This has worked seamlessly for years, and now it's just pooping the bed.

    Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone else know how to fix it? I have a Galaxy S9+ and I'm using the google search bar widget to start the interaction.

    I have a Moto G Stylus and for a over a day, any time I try to connect to my wifi network, it connects, but doesn't work and says I have no internet. I was using WiFi at another house with no issue, then I went to the current house I'm at now and this is the issue I now have. All other devices on the network, whether it's consoles, other phones, or PC's, all work fine. I have tried resetting the phone, resetting network settings, forgetting the network, and resetting the router. None have worked. Any advice?

    My downloads folder disappeared but all my files are still acessible through My Files. Help?

    SOLUTION: Go to my files and search ".nomedia". Select all then delete. Thanks anon_smithsonian

    I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+. Was using the Reddit Is Fun (rif) app and decided to download a an image to save it.

    I changed the directory of the download to my "downloads" folder on the internal storage. Suddenly, the downloads album in the gallery disappeared. Couple hours later I open the samsung music app and I tried playing a song that I also downloaded from the web (which is in the same directory as mentioned above) but I also couldn't find it. Had about 100 songs (50 downloaded and 50 transferred manually) and the only ones i can find through the app were the transferred ones.

    However, if i navigated to My Files and searched for the file manually, i can find it. I can view the downloaded photos or play music but only through my files. I reported the issue to the devs and emailed support - nothing (been a week). I tried to look for online solutions but couldn't find any relevant ones.

    What I tried so far:

    ​

    - Hiding/unhiding folders

    - Reset RIF app to default

    - Uninstalling the app

    - Restarting my phone

    - Allowing google storage permission

    ​

    Like I said, all the files are still on my device but they are not accessible by all the apps. (For example, if I was to download a an image from google, I can't share it via WhatsApp or any other app because there is now downloads folder in my gallery - unless I go to My Files, open it, and tap on share)

    Please let me know if you have any solutions. Running the latest android version

    Redmi Note 7 Pro keeps booting into recovery

    I was using Pixel Experience ROM and today after a update the phone refuses to boot into system. No matter what I try, it keeps booting into TWRP recovery. I clean flashed both latest Pixel Experience and Havoc OS, updated the firmware, even flashed boot image separately in fastboot mode. But it just keeps booting into recovery.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Nokia 2 will not connect or charge by USB to PC

    My phone will not connect to my windows 7 PC via USB. I've tried changing USB ports and it works on another PC. I've tried reinstalling the drivers but it says they're up to date. I've enabled developer mode and debugging but my pc just won't recognise the phone. The other PC did the same thing until I jigged about on the phone and it worked.

    Not being able to charge from it is annoying.

    Buying Music

    In the past I've always used my google rewards money to purchase albums from bands I enjoy. This way I was able to support those artists but not actually feel like I was spending my own money. Now that google play music is dead it doesn't seem like this is possible.

    What does everyone else use for purchasing music now? I still like to have music I can store on my SD card and transfer between phones to listen to offline.

    Can't download apps

    Hello so I have Lenovo a3500 tablet with viper OS Android 7.1 and pico Gapps installed. The problem is that I can't download anything from the Appstore or the browser. It says insufficient storage. I tried different ROM (ressurection remix), Clearing cache didn't help either. It's a fresh installation so there is plenty of space

    I finally made the switch from iPhone to android (Pixel 5) so this could be user error. Besides this issue, I LOVE my new phone.

    My apps that have an update outstanding are sitting pending with the circle going round and round, not update being downloaded. Same thing occurs with new downloads, trying to download any apps it sits pending.

    I left it overnight and not a single app has downloaded or updated. Tried restarting phone, turning off auto update, still nothing. Has anyone else ever faced this issue? This is incredibly frustrating.

    How to recover brightness control hijacked by Netflix app?

    So, for quite some time now Netflix has been hijacking brightness control. The actual brightness control in android at the top of the screen is greyed out and unusable.

    Other apps like VLC have a setting to specify whether you want to allow the app to control brightness, Netflix does not...

    Trouble is, Netflix is not well calibrated at all and some series are way too dark at max brightness while others are eye-searingly blinding even at min setting. Is it possible to regain full control of device brightness?

    Android Pinned/Single App Mode HELL

    I am trying to set up 4 samsung tab a 8" 2019 tablets to use as punch clocks for the ADP time kiosk.

    I have 2 set up at a remote location and they are working great. I encased them, set them to be always on in developer mode, and pinned the adp app and set it to need a pin to unlock the single app mode.

    Now I am at our main office, and the same settings on the same devices are providing completely different results so I am at a loss. The pin app option is set to need a pin to unlock the app, yet it doesn't ask for one when you try to unpin the app... And the device will not stay in always on mode and needs to be unlocked with a pin. And these tablets will not allow me to remove apps from the desktop, just disable them. I am so confused.

    We use google for our email and etc so I am guessing something in our google settings is jiving with this and causing the issue.

    Any ideas how i can better access and lock down this 2nd set of tablets in a pinned mode for a single app?

    UPDATE: follow up question to this... How do I set everything up on one tablet and duplicate those settings on the other three without having to manually do it? Or should I say F it and get one of those apps for managing single app mode.

    Hi. I need help with a problem that i can't find on the internet. I'll try to explain as best as i can. I have a galaxy s8 and as a picture manager i use the normal gallery app. My problem is that, when I'm in for example messenger and i want to send a picture to someone, instead of having all my pictures show up to attach, is there a way to set the default to show for example only the camera album instead of "all files"?     I need to know if this is possible. Currently my car creates a Wifi hotspot to which I can connect to wirelessly stream Android Auto. However, this hotspot has no internet connection. I want to connect to this hotspot but also connect to the internet using my cellular data.
