    Continuous open world in 3d?

    Posted: 10 Oct 2020 07:00 AM PDT

I've been looking for games like that for a long time, every now and then I post somewhere to see what comes up.

I love open world games and see a lack of them on Android, even games that advertise a big open world and MMOs are usually just a bunch of fairly small interconnected segments and they almost never really feel like large open worlds (black desert mobile, for example).

I'm sure there are technical limitations but if they weren't possible there simply wouldn't be ports of rockstar games.

Only game I can think of in recent memory (and I'm not entirely sure because I just started but it seems like it's one of them) is genshin impact and battle Royale games like pubg.

I'm also looking for something single player. I know there are several 2d games like that, I'm specifically looking for 3d games that have a player controlled camera.

Even if no games I'm interested in pop up, at least I want to know of their existence.

Edit: Minecraft is kind of a given, I think.

Edit2: I also know about bright ridge games and emulators.

    Storm8 games itch

    Posted: 10 Oct 2020 11:33 AM PDT

I know most won't care, but the first mobile games I got into, were are the storm8 games. More so, Vampires Live. Loved that game and was really upset when they took it down. I've been searching for something similar for a long time, and have found it. If anyone else is interested, there is something on iPhone called Blood Lust. http://lust.avalancia.com/x2oln. (Invite code), and I do believe they have an android download on Google. Cheers!

[DEV] Looking for Feedback on a "Companion" Mechanic I've added to my Digital Card Game

    Posted: 10 Oct 2020 09:59 AM PDT

Hey, I'm the solo dev working on 3 Guns Dead, a Weird West themed digital card game. I've just updated the build on Google Play to add a new companion mechanic to the game--this is my take on character avatars like in Hearthstone or Gwent that each has a unique ability you can use during the match.

You can check out the game, which is in early access, here:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bpme.montefight

(PvP matches are locked behind a one-time payment--currently $0.99, but I'm happy to give you a promo code to unlock the game if you want to help test that part of it. Just message me for access).

Right now, the tutorial doesn't mention companions, so I'll quickly explain how to work with them. Once you've finished the first tutorial, you can explore each companion by clicking the companion icon in the lower right while you're in the menu dashboard.

There are currently three companions, each with a different ability. When in a match you'll see a new card in the lower left screen that has your companion portrait. This card's border will turn golden when you're able to activate the companion's ability. If an ability is on cool down or exhausted the companion card will be face down.

This will be the last major feature I'm adding before prepping my game for a ver. 1 release, so I'd love to hear your thoughts about it or anything else you encounter.

Thanks for your help and feedback!

    -J.L.

What % of the revenue do whales represent on aveage?

    Posted: 10 Oct 2020 09:56 AM PDT

Hi, Im trying to find information as to what % of revenue do whales represent on average, in any given mobile game.

Back in 2014, I found some stats stating that "0.15% Mobile Gamers Bring In 50% Of The Revenue". I think the way things have evolved since then, with the boon in gacha games in particular, the gap must have increased even further.

Do you have any information on the topic? Evidently I understand that some games, such as the aforementioned gacha game, are particularly prone to this phenomena and would 'skew' the numbers.

    Thank you

What do you think of banner ads?

    Posted: 10 Oct 2020 02:32 AM PDT

I'm working currently working on a game and I don't want invasive full screen ads between levels so I've been thinking about using banners instead. They're less profitable but also less intrusive. The game's levels are static screns and its in landscape mode so there's space for banners without covering or coming close to other UI elements. What are your thoughts as a player?

    Among Us game

I know everyone is hooked on the game but...doesn't it become boring after a week playing this? Or am I the only one?

Is there a list of Multi Platform games that are free to play along with mobile?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 05:58 PM PDT

I've been playing fortnite mobile and brawlhalla with my brother (who plays on ps4) since they are the only games I know of we can play together. Just wanted to know if there was a master list or anyone who can name other crossplatform games.

Has anyone here tried those phone coolers?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 11:24 PM PDT

The ones that you attach to the back of your phone to keep it cool. Planning on getting one but I was worried if it would cause any moisture that would damage the phone.

Does anyone have any experience with these and give me some insight? (I'd also want to know if they're effective)

    [REQUEST] Forgotten Gold

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 09:52 PM PDT

I'm looking for great games that are 7-8 years old, when games were all like 40 to 50 mb in size. Key points: 1. 7-8 years old, or just old. 2. Forgotten, not updated for years 3. Preferably below 50 mb or close

I downloaded Beach Buggy Blitz, and seeing that game led to this post. I'd like the action to be on the screen. But I did thoroughly enjoy Seedship, which is a text adventure.

Just drop anything that you think is a high quality forgotten game, any genre, any type. The game's rating doesn't really matter.

I'm picky but I do end up really enjoying games of different types. Thanks in advance!

Looking for a good premium upgrader - details in post

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 07:21 PM PDT

Hey all - just got done with Dell support today and it sounds like I'm going to be without my computer for a week or so. I'm looking for a good premium game to get me through the time - I really hate ads and games balanced around IAP. Cost isn't a factor, but a good gameplay loop and a variety of scaling upgrades are. Preferably no platformers or sports games. Too many games have a good gameplay loop but they lack a reason to keep playing them (like Out There - great game, no progression).

Bonus points for decent graphics - I have an 865 and can run whatever. TIA

Help. Any way to play CarX Drift Racing 2 offline?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 10:04 PM PDT

It used to be playable offline. But now it won't load without the internet on. It's the most satisfying drifting sim I played on mobile. I'm happy with it as it is and don't want to update it with 1.5 gb everytime they release an update, because that's what I have everyday as mobile data.

    I don't have wifi currrently.

    Thanks in advance!
