| Posted: 18 Sep 2020 10:43 AM PDT So I have these RGB LED strips and in order to change colors etc it wants me to enable all these permissions that make no sense for an app that just changes led light colors. Location, phone call history contacts etc. Someone said I can strip the perms if I repackaged the app. App won't let you use it unless you give it the permissions. [link] [comments] |

Ridiculous but whatever, I downloaded it. | Audio output automatically switching to cars bluetooth Posted: 18 Sep 2020 12:06 PM PDT Im using bluetooth headphones in my room on the second floor of my house. A family member starts their car (which ive connected to before for music and such), and my audio automatically switches to the cars audio. It doesnt ask if id like to switch, and it can be very annoying considering Im not always listening/watching something that I'd like my family members to have blasted through the cars speakers the second they turn it on. Is there any way to at least have a pop up that says "car X has been detected, would you like to switch outputs?" [link] [comments] |

| Please help me disable Autoplay of Apple Music when it connects to my car via bluetooth Posted: 18 Sep 2020 11:40 AM PDT Hello everyone and good day except to whoever made it so my car autoplays my apple music when I switch to phone media. The Specs: Kia NiroEX, 2017. Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note9 Android version 10. The issue: E V E R Y T I M E my phone connects to my new car, apple music pops up in the notification tray. E V E R Y T I M E I click some media, remember that my phone is connected to my car, then press to go to Bluetooth media connection, whatever I'm trying to watch/listen to gets paused and apple music starts to autoplay the last song played. Things I have tried: Disabled Apple Music from Background data and battery use, still happens. Make sure that Apple Music isn't the default app for anything, still happens. Looking into settings for BlueTooth and Apple Music, nothing there about auto-turning off media play. Cursing Steve Job's ghost for overseeing a shitty music app being made. Things I think may work but I just don't know enough about: possibly having a fix that involves stopping the car's "okay now auto-play the last song" trigger. But the only thread I can find in the search bar is from 9 years ago and other websites are 7+ years old as well. I know that one possible fix is to just hard disable all media from playing from the phone to the car, but that's a bit drastic innit? The music sounds better coming from bluetooth than aux cable to me. [link] [comments] |

I play a games on my phone with friends a lot. My battery reaches 40% about Noon and charge it till 70% and then charge it again till 60% Before 8:00pm and then Plug it in before going to sleep. I have lost my bluetooth headphones and knowing the last date it was connected would help massively in narrowing it down. All of the pictures in my news feed look like this. If I scroll fast enough to see the pictures load, they load fine and full size, then click into the top left corner and stretch the edges. I haven't really had any issues, but I've been trying to use Snapchat's video call feature lately and my video cycles through one image every few seconds instead of displaying a fluid video. I have no issues with recording video messages, and on my end, the video of both the other person and myself is smooth. I've cleared all my Snapchat data, set the phone to optimize performance for Snapchat, and even formatted my phone, but I can't get it to run smoothly. I have the same issue with multiple people. | Help: Quick Battery Drain and overheating Posted: 17 Sep 2020 04:06 PM PDT I am trying to figure out what is causing my Nexus 5 to be hot (I saw 44C/111.2F at one point) and also why my battery drains so fast, like 100% to 83% in a couple minutes with screen-off idle I installed GSam to try and figure out the direct cause but it is not very clear to me, what I got out of it is that my phone is draining around 22% per hour while screen-off idle I changed to a brand new battery yesterday Any suggestions? (Pixel 4a Android 10) https://i.imgur.com/X9Od0ee.jpg I was putting on my case today and accidentally held down the power and volume buttons at the same time, I think. After that I got stuck in this loop. I hit Try Again about a dozen times, it doesn't do anything. The phone state is locked, I don't have USB debugging on so I don't know what my options are, I'd like to not have to factory reset here. I can see the device with adb in rescue mode but not recovery mode. I can also see it through fastboot. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 18 Sep 2020 04:24 AM PDT I was checking my Google account activity earlier and a noticed activity from the "Discover", thing is i disabled the discover feature on my phone, google and chrome, and this one didnt have the cards written below it like it usually does (just says discover. 5 cards in your feed), moreover when i checked the details it didnt have a device nor" genral location" so i filtered the activity by "discover" and went back abit and saw several of those activities (among the normal ones from before i disabled the feature). So i went into google enabled the feature went to check the cards then disabled it again, and now that old weird discover is gone and a new one appeared as normal with activities and a card list and all of that, any idea ehy this happened? Oh and i seem to be having another problem (i just cant catch a break) my google activity is only shows google related activities (youtube history /G play store etc.) even tho i have apps enabled, its not showing apps like twitter and reddit or even the com. Android.whatever it used to show before just google shit it was worling fine in the morning idk what happened(restarted the devoce and the app issue seems to be resolved for now gonna keep the edot up incase someone else has this problem) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 18 Sep 2020 02:42 AM PDT I get suggestions for things I should ask the Google assistant and they just stay on top of the screen in the Google assistant app no matter what I do until I change app. It's putting me off using the assistant so I'm interested to know if anybody else has this issue or knows a solution. | Help! I've been trying to reboot or unbrick my phone for the past 6 hours. Posted: 17 Sep 2020 04:00 PM PDT Quick story on what happened: I have a ZTE Blade Z Max so the phone is pretty old and the power button is broken. So in order to restart I use a power menu app to restart it whenever necessary. Well this morning I was trying to look into a bag using the phone's flashlight but the screen was still on and I did not want to wait 30 secs for it to power off since I needed to head to school soon. Soon with my IQ of dirt I decided to use the app to power off the screen quicker. This is where I messed up. I forgot that Power Off also meant Shut Down. I watched unamused to my predicament as there was no way to stop the process. At the moment I didn't think it was a big deal since I could just boot it back up by plugging in it's charger. No go. Just told me what I already knew, my phone was at 100%. Thanks. Realizing that this was something I should probably deal with at school I took the cable with me. I get to my class which was luckily in a room full of computers and a chill teacher so I went to work. I approached one of the apple computers (there where Windows pcs but all of them were deactivated) and plugged my phone into it. No response from the computer and just another charging notification from my phone. I twiddle with it a bit to no avail. So I tried to use the boot menu. I believe what it wanted me to do was to hold both volume keys down and then plug it into the computer while continuing to do so. The charging notification appeared for a split second then turned off. I thought I made progress but instead the phone's screen did not react to any other stimulus like being charged, only the home touch screen ring was lighting up when ever something happened. I had no idea what to other than have my friends try to remove the battery to force a restart that way. No good. ZTE manufactures are apparently sadist because the battery was not easily remover unless you had the tools to do so and even then I wouldn't know how to put them back in. All we managed to do was lift the battery out the compartment. (I figured this would be a last resort if all else failed.) I continued to fiddle with the device with the occasional percussive maintenance (bad idea I know but I was getting frustrated) and then eventually left it alone until I got home. I've been trying to research how to boot it back up but I don't know what any of it means like flashing the device or EDL and DFUs or whatever. So if anyone knows what course of action I should take and would be willing to be able to guide me through step by step, please help me. [Additional details: Whenever I plug it into my computer, the phone appears as Handset Diagnostic Interface(DFU) (COM 3) and rarely QHSUSB_BULK] [Edit: I'm worried that the screen somehow crapped out when I attempted to access boot menu by using the apple computer.] [link] [comments] |
