Arcade-style sports games that don't rely on microtransactions to power up your character(s)

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 05:31 AM PDT

I'm looking for sports games (specifically: baseball, golf, basketball, and tennis) where you can increase the stats of your players and/or teams through actually playing the game. I would like to avoid games where you can buy card packs full of equipment or bronze/silver/gold ranked players.

I would also like to avoid simulation-style games (ex: I'm looking for a baseball game where you just press 1 button to swing - I don't want to manually position the bat). To me, this is the essence of arcade-style sports.

I have one that I've played for a while: Baseball Superstars 2013 but it has a lot of jank. Do these types of games even exist anymore ever since microtransactions and energy systems entered the mobile gaming scene?

    My first android game

    Posted: 10 Sep 2020 11:27 PM PDT

Hi people of Reddit. I made my first game in Unity, about Elon Musk's project to fly to Mars. Well in my game you are already on Mars, but you have to play a little bit with a ball to power the enginees and come back to Earth. So if you want to help Elon, try it out :D and tell me your opinions.

P.S. You have to have an Android device to play it :P

I just want to sit back with my power bank and 100% charged phone and play a game which has a good story and characters. I have played the wolf among us and the walking dead all seasons. Thanks :)

How is controller support in the Android GTA ports?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 02:41 AM PDT

I've been having a look at the Android ports of the GTA 3, VC and SA and I'm definitely interested in buying them all at some point but I have only one concern at the moment, the Controller support.

I use a Fly Digi Wee 2 controller for my Android gaming and my searches unfortunately don't find much information beyond the games have controller support. Touch controls are unacceptable for me IMO and I'd rather not go through the refund process I'd I find out the support for my controller is poor.

So anyone play these games with a controller, especially a fly digi one? What were your experiences and we're there any difficulties?

[REQUEST] Game with trading and microeconomy

    Posted: 10 Sep 2020 06:10 PM PDT

    Hi all,

I grew up playing TF2 and got very into the trading and microeconomy. Loved that you could set up and use trade bots and specialise in providing services (scrapping) or collecting certain items and selling them. I'm looking for a similar game. Here are some requirements; • Preferably free or a once off payment for the game, no commision or subscription/pay to win • Core game doesn't matter, if it's farming based or sci fi space mining based it's all the same, I'm more interested in the economy • Preferably not too forceful, i.e Hayday is a farming sim that is kind of what I'm looking for but isn't trade central, there are price caps, you can't easily search for certain items and setting up trades isn't efficient. I want almost completely freedom

I think that's all but I will listen to suggestions and comment as to whether they may suit and why/why not. Thanks in advance !
