Posted: 04 Aug 2020 03:11 AM PDT My samsung s8 has that rather annoying bubble notification thing and I can't get rid of it, specifically for instagram DMs. I have been in the advanced features and turned off 'smart pop-up view' for every app in the list. But instagram doesn't appear on the list and thus, I cannot figure out how to turn them off. I have also searched other settings but can't find a solution. I would still like notifications, just not in the bubble format. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated! [link] [comments] |

| verizon moto z force xt1650-02 internet not working Posted: 04 Aug 2020 09:47 AM PDT so i have this issue with my new phone i bought, my sim card has data and but its not recieving and sending any data packets, although facebook and whatsapp works fine but other than that nothing works i tested other sim cards too and they do they same thing, only facebook apps and whatsapp works, although when i turn on hotspot, internet works normal on connected devices, included the one i m using right now, i have installed APN for the network still same issue, i switched between coverage`s like 3g and 4g still wont work, i have Jazz, Telenor and Zong networks. does anyone have any idea, also if someone know this phone can they update me on root status, or is there an alternative, so that i can learn it myself. thnx [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 04 Aug 2020 07:43 AM PDT Not sure why this started happening, but Facebooks notifications seem broken. I only ever receive a "you have a new notification" notification instead of what the context of the notification is like it normally does. Also seems like they just randomly decide to send me notifications even when I don't have any new ones. I've tried resetting the app, clearing app cache and even app data, uninstalling updates for it, everything but nothing seems to fix it. Anyone else ever heard of this? [link] [comments] |

I'm thinking about getting a tablet for school work, so taking notes etc. Usually I don't really care about Apples products, but I have to give it to them, that they put out a great product. However I'm not willing to spend this much money on a tablet, especially with my limited student Budget. I am sure it is a problem with my phone because my laptop, my parents' laptops and phones can connect to the wifi no problem. I have this problem at home, at work and in other places. | I'm not sure what's draining my battery Posted: 04 Aug 2020 08:54 AM PDT I have an LG Aristo 4+ that I got just a few months ago, upgraded from the Aristo 2 on my Metro by T-Mobile plan, and it's been behaving strangely in the past week. My battery suddenly started to drain quickly, even when I wasn't using it. When I tried charging it, it would charge at a snail's pace or even lose battery if I checked on something. My battery usage menu says the Android system is using most of the battery, but that doesn't fully explain my charging issue. I tried battery saver as well with no change at all; clearing cache and excess data did do anything either. I looked up what could be causing it and couldn't get a good answer, so I came here. | Camera app crashes when taking a picture/video Posted: 04 Aug 2020 07:45 AM PDT (phone is ZB602KL, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1) I've had this issue since like... what, january of 2019? I would start up the camera app, all is well, the same disappointing quality greets me, then I take a picture, and the thing just crashes on me. Isn't even the default Google camera app, Open camera does the exact same, except it says "video might be corrupted" or "serious camera error". The thing sometimes doesn't crash, sometimes it also corrupts whatever im trying to save, but most of the time it crashes then saves the photo/video 5 minutes later. What's causing this? I just want to know what is causing all this stuff, maybe it's the fact its running completely stock android? Or an issue with the preinstalled facebook that seems to be the only modification? I am absolutely clueless. All I wanna do is take a picture without it crashing on me. A goddamn S5 mini doesn't even crash, and even looks better. A 2014 mid range phone having a better camera than a 2018 "mid-range" phone? Was this phone supposed to be released on april fools? Anyways, all answers will be appreciated. [link] [comments] |

| How do I force Google Messages to always use WiFi? Posted: 04 Aug 2020 11:08 AM PDT I have pretty poor reception in my apartment, so sending/receiving texts is sometimes fussy. Is there a way for Google Messages to always prefer WiFi instead of a cellular signal for texts? If I throw on airplane mode, texting is smooth, but that's not really an option. I'm willing to switch to another texting app, if it's possible to force WiFi texts with it. I'm using a Galaxy S20+ (Verizon) by the way, if that matters at all. Thanks in advance. | Posted: 04 Aug 2020 09:59 AM PDT I bought an unlocked Palm on eBay. My Xfinity sim card worked in the phone, but I wasn't ready to actually start using the phone until I became more comfortable with it and customized it to my liking. Now that I have done that and put the sim card back in, the phone won't read my sim card anymore. I'm not sure if I messed up a setting, if Xfinity caught me, if I need to do something with my sim card, if I need to root the phone, etc. I did a factory reset on the phone and it will still not read my Xfinity sim card. When I pop the sim back into my iPhone it instantly starts working. The sim card can and has worked in my Palm. I have made calls over cellular data (not wifi). I'm not sure what happened but if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. [link] [comments] |
