Here's mine >;( Posted: 29 Aug 2020 06:51 AM PDT Here's the last email I sent OnePlus after being ignored repeatedly, it explains the bs that I've been having to deal with over the past few months, I love OnePlus and their phones but after this experience, I'm going to go with another company. You can call me a Karen for writing this email or whatever, but it's been over a month only getting a response via email every 2 weeks or so, I had to purchase a burner phone to use because it's taking so long. I wrote this after being passed around and dropped by 5 associates on their chat feature, eventually after 4 hours being told I'd receive a response via email soon. When I first sent my phone out, the agent assured me if have it back within a week. Almost two months later and I have my phone back except without functioning cameras or a flash. Hello, No matter what I do I can't seem to get help, everyone keeps blaming me for something I didn't do. To the best of my knowledge the phone was never water damaged, it never showed signs of water damage, everything worked fine. I had an issue with dead pixels and screen burn in that, according to the agent, was covered under warranty. I sent my phone in and then 1-2 weeks later got an invoice for 280$ saying I had to pay for my screen repair because of water damage. I sent multiple emails over the next 2 weeks asking what the problem was. I know my phone has never been water damaged, or anywhere near water for that fact so I wanted clarification. I would have no problem paying 280$ if I had actually broken my phone, but this was not the case so I kept trying to reach someone on the support team so I could talk about the repair. No response so I let the automatic timer run out, because I thought to myself "I guess i'll have my phone back" (assuming it would have the same dead pixels and burn in) it comes back to me with a broken camera (something which was not even referenced in the invoice for damage) For Christ's sake I have a saved photo of the label from the day I shipped the phone out, and the metadata gives the time and place! I've tried resetting and clearing cache. I've tried factory rests and updates. I've been a long time OnePlus customer and I've spent over 5000$ with the company, my entire family has OnePlus phones. I feel as if I'm being exploited for money. My emails keep getting ignored and the service reps keep leaving me. I'm sick of being treated like this when I'm part of the "family" as you guys call it. I feel like I'm being scammed out of money. I hope we can resolve this, because I love OnePlus phones, but from what I've experienced over the past month the after sales support is atrocious. I've now had to buy a burner phone as this repair process has taken almost 2 months. Please help me here, I feel helpless and I shouldn't with how long I've been with OP Matt I'm incredibly angry to say the least, if any of you have ideas as to what I could do. If OnePlus doesn't take care of this I'll probably sell the phone or try to repair it myself. After this whole experience, I don't think I'll be choosing OnePlus next time I need to upgrade because this whole debockle has me super stressed. I have a lot of personal things going on in my life right now, everything is hectic and having a burner phone that freezes every 1.6 seconds isn't helpful. Edit: Spelling and stuff... However, doing this for apps like Plex and Sony Music just reveals notification settings. For Music I can eventually succeed if I try enough, but for Plex it seems impossible. [link] [comments] |

I searched Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and dog pile and no results. Seriously, it yields no results on Google at all if searched verbatim. On YouTube a couple of videos come up, even a predicted search that says "gascorei not responding" but none of the 5 videos even mention it. There's also a weird app called Burts that's sending invisible notifications. This phone is fucked, as it has horrible malware or something on it and needs desperately to be reset. I am more so wondering what any of this is. It's android go version and it's using assurance wireless (its a free low income phone) and it's a unimax u683cl which apparently comes installed with malware lmao. I guess my question is, what is this? And how do I get rid of it, since it's not in my apps list. [link] [comments] |

When I access my storage from "settings -> device maintenance -> storage", is shows that I have 25.3/32 gbs used and 6.7 gbs free. However, the total number of the user data shown at the bottom (documents, apps, pics...) amounts to 2.1gbs. I deleted almost everything from "my files". When I select everything inside my internal storage and press details, it amounts to 1.85 gbs (including hidden folders). I downloaded an app named "files go". I found a folder named "phone" under storage, however everything in it amounts to barely 2gbs. How can I find the remaining files? [link] [comments] |
| Restricted accounts on Samsung tablet Posted: 29 Aug 2020 11:16 AM PDT So we have a samsung tablet and I have a restricted account set up on it for my kid. One of the games he has has in app purchases that I would like to make but being a restricted account it won't allow any purchases. I can make the purchase from my account but they don't carry over to the restricted account. Is there any way to overcome this? Allowing him access to the app on his account doesn't carry over the purchases. Is there anyway to do that or anyway to make a purchase on the restricted account? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Aug 2020 11:03 AM PDT So I looked at my programs in "app info" and saw that Mobile Manager was taking up a huge amount of space, like 600mb to a gig( I don't remember), so I pressed "delete data" and "clear cache" and all that. And somehow my phone had many gigs more of storage space. I'm like "oh cool, a glitch." Yeah, NO. THE NEXT DAY I noticed I couldn't find my music. What the hell, Mobile Manager? Why the hell would it do this? Another thing I noticed: when you go to storage and memory, it gives you the option of "free up space." I looked at that and what it was going to delete, and it was literally all my files. This is so stupid. Why make such a feature? Those are my files, why would I want to delete them? Ridiculous. Well as happy as I am with my Google products I noticed their was an update to the pixel buds that added bass boost. I'm on Android 10 so I'm up to date. I went to my connected device settings and hit the little settings icon on my pixel buds only to find it I only have the same 4 options I always had. No big deal, I go to the play store and download the pixel buds app. It says I already have it.... I don't see it anywhere on my phone but ok I hit the open button and all it does is take me back to my connected device settings... The pictures on the play store show an actual interface with all kinds of settings options but all this app does is open my connected device option with the same 4 options I always have. I deleted the app and redownloaded it and it's the same as before. I only heard about this update because Google alerted me. Am I doing something wrong? I don't really use camera/video but want to install a decent amount of apps. I can either get 64gb storage with 4gb ram, or pay £50 more for 128bg and 6gb ram. | Pixel 4 bluetooth disconnects on power save mode Posted: 29 Aug 2020 08:20 AM PDT As long as I can remember, my Pixel 4 XL disconnects from my car's Bluetooth once I turn the screen on if my phone is in power save mode. Not when I turn the screen off, but once I turn it off. I never had this issue on my Pixel 2 XL. The issue happens only when in battery save mode and at any battery level. I factory reset my phone two months ago and that did not solve the issue. I also went and allowed no battery restrictions on the system bluetooth app. It is really starting to drive me nuts because sometimes it just does not reconnect to my bluetooth. [link] [comments] |

Whenever I pass wifi's (which is all the time) it connects to them and doesn't use my mobile data anymore, which often results in me not being able to use any apps until I turn WiFi off. Posted: 29 Aug 2020 06:55 AM PDT Huawei's backup software uses the .enc file format and it can be decrypted in Android (where it was made actually). How can I decrypt this in Windows or Linux (if possible, since all the files in a backup uses the same password as the backup, a tool that would allow me to give it a folder, the password, and will decrypt all the files)? (Please don't suggest me searching on Google again, I wasted 2 hours to block domains, everything they give is malware, useless and unrelated Youtube videos, fully unrelated sites (which seem malicious as well) and so on. Searching such a sensitive topic will never result in useful results...) Device used: Huawei P9 Tried so far: grabbing the files back on Android to decrypt, but what's the point of backing them up to PC if I gotta grab them, one by one, on the phone to open (or open in Bluestacks one by one). | Issue with accessibility lock screen commands - not reliably playing the lock sound. Posted: 28 Aug 2020 11:22 PM PDT When I use an on-screen shortcut to lock my phone (e.g. the Screen Lock gesture in Nova Launcher), the lock sound doesn't reliably play. It plays sometimes, but not every time. This seems to happen most often when I've just used Finder to Close All Apps or the Home gesture to return to the main screen. If I then unlock and relock the phone, the sound plays normally. This has happened on a Samsung S20 phone and also an Essential PH-1. It happens in both Android 9 and Android 10. And it happens with other screen-lock shortcuts powered by the accessibility access, not just Nova Launcher. The lock button always plays the lock sound, but for accessibility reasons I basically have to use gesture shortcuts. This sound issue is a minor irritation, but one I'd like to fix if I can.
