| Posted: 05 Dec 2020 05:15 AM PST Hi guys, I need a little help from you I Have the possibility to buy a Oneplus Nord and I am interested in the 90 Hz oled display and in the software department but i am scared that the Snap 765G has lower power than Kirin 980 and maybe this can cause slowdown during the years (because i keep a smartphone for at least 3 years) or maybe with games. I think the battery life is almost the same because Honor has a LCD panel which is more hungry of power and the Oneplus has the Oled but it is 90Hz. Oneplus has the good thing of software updates for 3-4 years and the Honor has only one year left of updates What do you think guys? Do you think it is a good deal for me? I want to buy a samsung galaxy m51 but I will use it for app development and need some specific camera2 features. Most phones have the features but all of them are optional, so I must be sure before buying it. Can someone check them for me? Parameters marked with x are essential for me and you can check them with Open Camera app from google play(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera&hl=tr&gl=US). Others are not that necessary but I can make use of them if someone can check if they work or not. I want to know which cameras are functional with third party camera apps and I need these parameters for available cameras(they may differ for each camera, please check again after switching camera)(in video mode, I won't use it for photos): x min and max iso sensitivity (open camera--> exposure compensation button on top of the screen--> iso slider) 10 bit hevc recording support(not sure if any android device does that without hdr10 but processor supports it) A short video sample of same scene(5-10 secs, full resolution,high contrast if possible) from open camera(with all parameters applied) and native camera app would be super useful. | Please help! Keep Notes not supported by google play services Posted: 05 Dec 2020 01:30 PM PST I have an older android (Moto G, I think) and have been keeping some detailed notes in Keep Notes. It was working fine a couple of days ago, but now Google Play Services has shit the bed and I get a "Keep Notes cannot open because your device is not supported by Google Play Services". It has not synced these notes with my Google Account since September, which is really, really bad. I need to save the content of these notes with their current info but I can't open the app to access them. Any ideas? Please help, it's really important that I salvage these notes. Everything online says to do a factory reset which is unacceptable. I don't care about the old phone, just the data on it. [link] [comments] |

The problem is that my phone can read the card but it says SD card is broken,but I can see the files if I use the card on my computer and I can transfer files on PC .Also I can't format the card on both of my devices.Is this caused by a virus-I scanned it avast says it was clean- or is it something else? | How to mute a conversation in Messages? Option seems to have disappeared. Posted: 05 Dec 2020 12:34 PM PST Messages by Google updated today and I can't find a way to mute a specific conversation anymore. The option to turn off notifications under Details > Notifications is gone, I can only switch to silent notifications. I tried joining the beta to see if the option was readded in beta but it still isn't there. I'm currently running 7.1.080 if that helps. Did this option move somewhere else? Am I missing something? Edit: By some weird work around, if I disable all "default settings" notifications then turn them back on, a list pops up for a bit which lists conversations and I can turn off individual ones from there. I have no idea why this is the only method I can find. If anyone has a less convoluted way, let me know! [link] [comments] |

| How to stop Bluetooth from auto connecting Posted: 05 Dec 2020 05:24 AM PST I've had to unpaid everything except my cans, as my pixel 4a won't stop auto connecting all the time (I have many vehicles at work also driven by others) so I can be happily listening to a podcast on my cans then someone can drive by 40 feet away they get part of my audio briefly then when they get out of range my phone defaults to the phone speakers this is so annoying, I've googled it briefly and it looks very simple to fix on iOS but have found little for an Android solution, I've found a setting in audible app in auto but this seems to get over ridden. | Grammar input with voice typing Android? Posted: 05 Dec 2020 06:58 AM PST We used to be able to say "comma" and "period" and even "semi-colon", and get those punctuation marks. Now it insists on spelling them out as words. Quite difficult to search for info on this, since there's Google Voice and Google voice typing, which relates to Docs and, I dunno, Google typing by voice for Android? Posted: 04 Dec 2020 07:57 PM PST My phone (Moto G7) running Android 10 (most recently updated 10/1/2020) makes a DNS request for two addresses in a cycle of once every 2-3 seconds for about 15 seconds, and then it takes 15 seconds off: epdg.epc.mnc260.mcc310.pub.3gppnetwork.org epdg.epc.mnc250.mcc312.pub.3gppnetwork.org I know this because of my pi-hole. Neither URL is blocked and both receive a response from the DNS server and resolve to 193.138.218.74. I haven't found a wealth of knowledge about this and have only found a couple people in forums who have had this same issue, and never saw an answer. The most I've gathered is that those URLs have something to do with making calls over WiFi, but disabling/re-enabling calls over WiFi hasn't made a difference. I've spent many hours trying to figure out which app or process is making the query to no avail. Apps that used to be able to tell you which app was using data no long work on Android 10+. There are some apps which act as a VPN man-in-the-middle to block internet access to an app or process, but the DNS request bypasses the VPN - I know this because I regularly use a VPN on my phone and when I'm connected to my home network, the only DNS requests shown on my pi-hole from my phone are the two above. I have force-stopped apps one at a time only to watch the same DNS request pop back up in my pi-hole. This is driving me nuts. I don't know which app is making the request, and I don't know why it makes it over and over. It's made a very noticeable decline in my battery life. I need this to stop. [link] [comments] |

| Viper4Android 2.7.2.1 missing tabs and settings Posted: 05 Dec 2020 01:48 AM PST Hi I just installed Viper4Android again, and previously to install it has been a complete PAIN IN THE A** But now i see the devs say that i don't need to install that audio modification library BS Anyways, i installed it, now in the latest app version, as previously we had tabs, for headphones, phone, Bluetooth etc those tabs are gone, there is no tabs at the bottom and base settings, voice clarity setting(something like that) Like basically i only have settings in the app till the "Speaker Optimization" setting, after that there is nothing, no settings and no tabs on the bottom. But for the past few weeks I can't seem to use my Google Assistant. It keep closing the instance it start to listen. So, I factory resetted phone. Was fine for few hours. But now it happen again. Sometimes, message like "there's another app using microphone" (or something of that nature, i can't remember the exact phrase) appears after it force closes. Here's a screen record if it could help.
