Full "console" games that were made for mobile?

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 05:37 AM PDT

I played Florence recently and really enjoyed that I could play an actual game on a phone with a beginning and ending. What else is there available? I'm definitely willing to pay for games, i have $20 on my rewards account just sitting there. I'm not looking for mobile ports of like Castlevania or Sonic or whatever, just any other console quality games that were made for mobile. Thanks!

EDIT: I should clarify. When is said "made for mobile" what I meant was "No onscreen control pad." Games that work with simply swiping or tapping

Good games to play with friends?

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 08:10 AM PDT

Me and my friends don't really see eachother often so it's nice to play things online sometimes. However we all have different consoles.

So I was thinking mobile since we all have phones.

    Preferably something basic and online.

Minecraft was something I considered but not all of us have it and crossplay is mad glitchy.

I really wanted to play Among Us but the servers are really bad.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT: to be clear a party game or something would be great, which is why I was hoping Among Us would work

    Signing in to play online

Out of interest, if a game requires you to sign in to play it (because it's online), do you have a preference as to the signing in method, such as Google Play, Facebook, direct email registration?

[REQUEST] Draw Something With More Than One?

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 07:35 AM PDT

Hey, noob Android gamer here, thanks for your time in advanced. I've been playing Zynga's Draw Something with a few friends and think it would be more fun if we were all in the same game/round and able to see each other's drawings and guesses. My request is a game with:

    1. simple rules/mechanics similar to Draw Something
    2. Asynchronous multiplayer, preferably with a group rather than 1v1
    3. can be paid or free

Would be happy to check out any suggestions, thanks!

    [DEV] Bubbles Pop

    Hi all,

I would like to share my first 2D game for Android "Bubbles Pop".

Bubbles Pop is an infinite game where you have to explode as much bubbles as you can to get the highest score and gain your place for the top 15. You will need your reactivity, accuracy to survive as long as you can.

If you can test and give me your opinion, I will be really grateful. Thanks you in advance.

You can download it on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amandin.bubblepup

[Dev] Just released a major update to my action-puzzle game, Aeon Link

[Dev] Just released a major update to my action-puzzle game, Aeon Link

    Aeon Link

Hello. I'm a guy who makes arcade-style games for fun. I'd like to share with you all my newest game Aeon Link.

Am very happy with how this game turned out. It's a action-puzzle game where you move back and forth to catch tiles then drop them into a grid below. The objectives get harder, and you've got to work quickly to complete them before the speed gets too fast, leading to a sort of tension and release cycle. It's totally free with ad support, aiming to be as unobtrusive as possible. (no ads during gameplay is a general policy of mine, for example) It features online leaderboards and achievements via Google Play.

The update that released today not only shrinks the file size down to about a third of what it was, but adds a new mode, time attack. This mode is perfect for that arcade style 3-minute rush. I also added the ability to resume a game in progress if you close the game while playing stage mode.

I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially about the difficulty of the game. I'd like it the be challenging, yet still feel like it's very doable. There's 50 levels, so getting that curve just right is tricky with limited feedback.

Android mmo RPG and strategy games worth looking at? A

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 10:10 AM PDT

I'm looking for something to play. Two things actually. I'm running a ZTE Blade Vantage 2 so nothing super graphical. Runescape OS is a possibility. I prefer darker realism in my games so no anime stuff. I don't mind skimpy females and I'm also a tabletop roleplayer so open to things like TCGs. Pay2Win wise I'm willing to spend like 20-40 a month to be competent or just get some cosmetic stuff.

    Baseball gamesss

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 11:53 AM PDT

When are we gonna have a decent baseball game? Like, RBI, 9 Innings and perfect inning are cool, but it would be cool to have something with the game play of 9 innings/perfect inning, and the game modes of RBI Baseball (RBI's gameplay is the worst) and also a career mode or something like that (there's one on NBA 2k20)

Looking for RPG/action game suggestions that have loads of secrets (ie. weapons/bosses) stuff to make you overpowered but also bosses you can challenge before its time kinda thing. Love feeling of being overpowered early in the game. Any type of RPG is fine, paid and free are both ok. Thank you!

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 04:17 AM PDT

My first point is in Final Fantasy 12/The Zodiac Age the player could delve deep into certain areas off the regular story path whereby the player could encounter later game enemies or secret chests that could contain overpowered weapons or equipment. If you could survive you could get out with an overpowered weapon or two.

SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVE ANY INTENTION OF PLAYING THIS MASTERPIECE DON'T READ

Three examples of this point: Ithuno/deathbringer sword/ Demonsbane and the zodiac spear.

Ithuno: There is a part in the game where you go through a passage and fight a boss then exit. After a while if you complete enough side-hunts/ side quests you get a key that allows you to go back to that passage. Exploring that passage theres a dead end spot off to one side where if you are lucky upon entering a chest mimic enemy will appear, if you try to loot this rare chest the mimic will attack you. Now this enemy at this point in the game(if you go early) is super strong but if you can withstand the barrage of attacks you can start to attempt to steal from it. If you get lucky you get the Deathbringer sword which is super OP at this point. This whole thing is tucked away in a cave in the middle of nowhere and after the first events in the main story this whole area is fairly pointless and you would never know that this sword was there up for grabs since fairly early on in the game.

Demonsbane: Again fairly early on (in the original) theres an immense Tomb tucked away in a mountain whereby when you enter this gigantic tomb you must walk down a path, when you walk down the path you fight a boss yet quickly realize he's op yet you have the option to run away deeper into the tomb (this is intended you aren't supposed to beat it early) but if you do beat it you will be able to touch a magic gem hidden in the wall where the boss was relieving completely optional and hidden stairs. When you go through the stairs and proceed further you are taken to this super majestic staircase open area and going to the end of it will show you this amazing hidden chest. Again if you are lucky this chest can contain the Demonsbane (also super OP at this point in the game)

Zodiac spear: In the original there were 4 chests scattered throughout the game and if the player were to open any of the 4 scattered chests at any time a magic chest hidden deep deep past jungles and an ancient city in this tucked away area would disappear. If the player didnt open any of the 4 chests they could (if they felt up to the challenge) go defeat an optional boss tucked away in a jungle off the main path(this boss is very hard to kill during early game if you dont know certain tricks) yet if you can defeat it you can basically start a super long journey running through extremely dangerous areas until you arrive to this hidden away room wherein 16 chests lie. One of these chest contains the Zodiac spear (the strongest melee weapon in the game)

The Second point I want to talk about is optional bosses tucked away into far and distant lands. Again talking about Final Fantasy 12, there were LOADS of secret bosses you could accidentally stumble into early on if you weren't careful or too adventurous. Some of these bosses when defeated would give you access to more secret areas/weapons/equipment. Id love to write about a few examples for this but to be honest there are too many and it's just so so special I couldnt do it justice.

TLDR: Why am I too stupid to find games that have so many secrets that can totally change the pace of your game if you adventure off the main path. Any android RPG style is fine paid/free anything. I just want to feel this sense of discovery again. I dont really like games that just give you a set ability though like hey good job you beat this super hard boss now your character can use jumpsmash. I'm thinking more RPG type thing.

    Thank you so much!

EDIT: Also why can't I seem to find any mobile Final Fantasy games that have such things? Are there? It seems strange to me.

Mana Monsters : Unique Approach to a Match-3 RPG

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 11:43 AM PDT

I recently decided to try Mana Monsters, and I have been pleasantly surprised.

I have played a number of Match-3 style RPGs (e.g., Gems of War, Puzzles and Dragons, etc) and I like the fact that Mana Monsters has come up with a unique core mechanic.

Like most Match-3 games, there are blocks organized into columns. However, you interact with the puzzle by grabbing two pieces from the bottom of any two columns and then attaching these two pieces to the bottom of one of the columns. This takes some getting used to, but I have found it refreshing and it really rewards thinking ahead in order to form Squares (2x2 of the same color) or Crosses (plus-sign shape) ... which are more powerful than just 3-in-a-row

Another mechanic which is interesting and adds a neat twist to the game is that if you make a 3-of-a-kind (or a Square/Cross) it removes not only the 3-of-a-kind but also all touching pieces of the same color. (This allows you to sometimes remove strange shapes ... which can create cascading effects if you plan effectively)

I am still relatively early in the game, but the progression systems seem interesting and so far I have been able to get a lot of enjoyment without spending any money.

Are there any visual novel 3D games, that are sfw and not anime? There are tons of VN 3D games but are always nsfw. I like the games but I'd rather have them sfw. I really prefer romance. Thanks!!

Not really "news" but the creators of soul knight are working on this new game. Its pretty much on it's early stages. The game is pretty cool and has been developing nicely so far.
