    Android x86 uses nouveau(open-source) driver to support nvidia gpu. since nouveau lacks in performance... is there a way to install proprietary linux nvidia drivers to androidx86?

    Phone Resets on Its Own All The Time - How to Recover Data?

    I have an old Samsung phone that suddenly stopped working during a holiday a few years ago. I tried to connect it to my PC with a cable just to take photos from it. But the issue is, the phone resets on its own all the time, as long as the battery is charged. So it connects to PC for a few moments and then reset again, so there is no enough time to access its memory.

    Do you maybe have an idea how to "force" it to stay turned on instead to reset itself?

    Message notification problems - Samsung Galaxy s9 plus

    Since about a month ago, my phone notifications are messed up and was hoping to get some help:

    1. Phone keeps dinging new messages since about a month ago. I will get one text message and it keeps dinging until I open the message and make it "read". I'm using the Messages app from Google as my default texting app.
    2. Unique notification sounds are not working. For example, I have a "ding" for text message, "water drop" for Whatsapp, "knock" for Hangout messenger, etc. All of the notifications will be a ding. The notifications will work properly sometimes but recently it hasn't been working most of the times.

    I use Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus with Android 10. I've had the phone about 2 years and 3 months. I'd like to have this fixed without resetting or clearing the data of the apps (I've already cleared the cache).

    Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Install Android on acer laptop

    I'm trying again to install Android OS on an acer laptop, this time an intel based chipset. Acer aspire 4739. Hope this is the right sub reddit for this. I installed it from thumb drive then rebooted but it just tries to run through the windows 10 repair. I don't know how to stop that. The boot thumb drive won't let my modify partitions either, saying "bad primary partition 3: partition ends in the final cylinder". I'm unsure what I'm missing. Do I need to boot with a different thumb drive and wipe out all the partitions and recreate them or is there something in the bios stopping me? Anyone familiar with acer laptops that have done similar ?

    Need some help returning a samsung phone to it's owner.

    A picture of the phone in it's found and current state.

    I found this phone on the side of a highway with nobody around and picked it up hoping to return it. Right now I've got it plugged intocan old kindle charger that was lying around and it seems to have picked up a charge. There is a SIM in the phone.

    I am making a post here because I have little to know knowledge of how the phone and it's OS work.

    It seems to be taking a charge and I cleaned the connectors on the battery so all's fine there.

    I cannot seem to get it to go off of the pictured screen however, and none of the buttons seem to be doing anything though I don't know if that's normal.

    The touch screen still functions despite being shattered and all of the buttons still compress.

    I know the phone is worth nothing in it's current state but the owner may have irreplaceable things like pictures or other media stored to the phone, and doing my best to identify them and return the phone seems to be the correct course of action.

    Edit: the green dot at the bottom blinks when the screen in on. It had a yellow triangle but that was before I cleaned the battery connectors.

    Any way to make the Snapchat flash better?

    My Snapchat front flash on Android sucks. It makes me look ice white. It really looks terrible. The flash overrides the brightness of my screen by making it the same brightness consistently.

    I have a galaxy a71 running Android 10, One UI 2.0. Im frustrated with how poorly optimised this app is. Perhaps it's because software and hardware on all android devices all conflict?

    Can anyone give me suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

    [HELP] The power button seems to be acting up

    So I just received an LG V60 ThinQ about a month ago as a warranty replacement for my v40. I noticed after a phone call yesterday that my phone screen wouldn't turn on unless I pressed the power button 3 times. The fingerprint reader also doesn't work yet when I turn it on it goes to the lock screen where I can then use the fingerprint reader to unlock the device. I've gone thru every display and power setting and I can't find anything that would change this behavior. The phone works perfectly fine otherwise.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    How can I log my Google account into a device without allowing access to my gmail account?

    I have a tablet I want to use around the house for media. I don't want everyone who uses it to have access to my gmail account, but I want to use my normal Google account for app store and YouTube subscriptions and whatnot.

    I have a Samsung and I am rather pleased with their emojis. But since I use Gboard and Google messages, every time I use emojis it shows the Google emojis and they are awful. The Google emojis are so bad they are unusable. Is there a way to turn them off?

    Best screen protector for under display fpr!

    I have an Oppo Find X2 Neo and it came with an pre applied screen protector. I replaced it with a tempered glass screen protector but it made my under display fpr barly usable (it's a bit better with not dry hands probably because I can apply more pressure easily) even though I have added both of my thumbs under 4 separate finger profile (2 each)! Would I compromise the protection of my screen if I swich back to a plastic TPU screen protector or a liquid gel one? I have to say that I'm not sold on the under display fpr because one needs to choose between usability or protection!
