I've played some obscure indie games and here's my review. Posted: 13 Jul 2020 05:38 PM PDT Lately, I've played a few indie games and have made a video review of them. The games are free, very obscure, and have some uniques twists to them. And I've previously posted some of the games on Reddit, so I can say that some of them are approved in a way. Here are the games themselves with short descriptions: Nameless Cat A great classic platformer game, where you play as a cat that has to escape the afterlife. Neko Samurai A reaction game where you have to defend yourself against an army of ninja frogs as an anthropomorphic cat swordmaster. Rose and Camellia It's a port of an old and weird flash game in a TV series drama setting, where some anime girls slap-fight each other over some inheritance. Rose and Camellia Play Store link Reaper of Immortals A very obscure platformer game about a Dark Reaper that should collect souls of specific targets. Made in a cute art style. Interesting idea, but very buggy. Reaper of Immortals Play Store link Dungeon Restaraunt A strange cooking simulator, where you have to cook for RPG heroes in a restaurant that is located in an RPG dungeon. You cook what they bring you. Dungeon Restaraunt Play Store link Here is the vid itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpFVjmRcBcw&feature=youtu.be Enjoy it if you can :D I would like to listen to any feedback that you will leave. And I will especially like some critique that you can pour on me. Thank you <3 [link] [comments]
Breaking Gates is now available on Android as early access Posted: 14 Jul 2020 10:49 AM PDT From FredBear developers, Breaking Gates a challenging action-platformer game and is now available for Android users. The gameplay is action-filled, and players will get to explore several stages where they'll get the necessary resources that are needed in other to build new equipment and face off against powerful bosses. The game also comes out with standout controller support. The controller support enables players to control the hero more comfortably and offers a different outlook to a platformer game. Currently available as early access for Android, you can read more about the news here [link] [comments]

Idea for a "whale-proof" game. Thoughts? Does this already exist? Posted: 14 Jul 2020 12:36 PM PDT So obviously, while the mobile gaming community is split on a lot of subject, I think the majority of us are of the mindset that whales suck. They've ruined so many potentially awesome games it's insane. And it's not all their fault, it's the studios'. And I can't blame them, why fix what ain't broken? But I'm sure every one of us has gotten REALLY into a game, only to be hit with a paywall. The ways I've seen games monitize ethically:
The problem with those last two strategies is that it usually doesn't retain a player base as long or as effectively as non-predatory games. For a majority of games, the whole concept of p2w is self defeating. Sure, spend 10 bucks here, 10 bucks there. But there will be a point when a player will say "not worth it." A point where even whales won't swim. Then what? The games skids to a halt. You've been experiencing all this massive progression with not much of a rewarding feeling because you really didn't earn your way to where you are now, so after a while it seems pointless. While those are good and all, I think there's another way games can monitize multiplayer games and still be fair. What if there were certain monetary thresholds that, once passed, will "lock" your account into that subset of money spent. For example, if you get caught hacking in Dark Souls, you'll be "shadow banned" and the only people you can co-op or get invaded by are other hackers. You're taken out of the pool of players who don't hack. What if a game put you into a certain pool of players that based on how much money you've spent. Like, if you spent anywhere from $10-$20 dollars, you'd only be matched up with others who have spent that much. It gets rid of the massive gap of advantage that exists between f2p and p2w. And it would still be lucrative. I'm sure a good amount of people who spend money don't necessarily do it for the advantage alone. There's been countless times I've seen a cool ass weapon or an interesting item in a shop that made me want to buy it out of curiosity. It just so happens that most of the time, more money = more damage and that's it. But if there were different things to buy for people with different playstyles, it would encourage people to stay with the game. If you spend $100 on MTX, and everyone in your multiplayer pool is running around with varying power levels of basically the same weapons, I don't see the fun in that. Implementing a lot more varied options allowing for more diversity with builds and an emphasis on strategy over power would keep more players active. What do you think, does this exist already? cookie jam alternative with no in app transactions Posted: 14 Jul 2020 11:24 AM PDT hello everyone, I'm new to this subreddit and I'm sorry if this has been asked before. My 7YO nephew has started playing cookie jam (they usually let him play a bit in the car ecc.) and now he got to a point where he keeps needing to add money to progress. Apart from the obvious "he shouldn't play that type of games, or games in general at that age", I was wondering if there is an equivalent puzzle game (from what I've seen it's similar to candy crush) that does not have microtransactions. We don't care if there is an initial cost, just that it doesn't involve microtransactions later on thanks!! [link] [comments]
S20 5G stopped playing games full screen after using Omlet Arcade Posted: 14 Jul 2020 11:07 AM PDT Hey everyone, I have a bit of a conundrum. I decided I wanted to try and stream some games from my phone since it is pretty decent(finally after years of struggling with phones). Tried streaming some Onmyoji Arena from Omlet Arcade as it had a lot of great reviews but the sound wouldn't stream(only from that game, sound worked in other games). Eventually switched to Streamlabs but I have an issue. Most of my games ran in full screen with no issue previously even on the elongated S20. Games like Azur Lane just added a border to the sides but it was still full screen. Destiny Child was simply full screen all the way, etc. After Omlet though games like Destiny Child stops the top of the screen where in in screen camera is. Other games really slice it down and remove both ends of the screen such as FF War of Visions. I assume it was some setting which was switched due to it trying to record the screen? But googling and searching forums has yet to net me an answer. Most people with full screen issues have them by default or it's related to something else. This change happened specifically after I wanted to stream and installed an app to do so. Any one who can help would make my life a lot better. It's really irritating considering it's a sudden switch as well and I can't figure it out. I've also tried going into the settings>Display> Full Screen Apps and setting it to full screen rather than auto to no avail. [link] [comments]

[REQUEST] looking for good idol/gacha rhythm or RPG games Posted: 14 Jul 2020 09:42 AM PDT I've been looking for more idol games like bandori or idolm@ster, I don't mind if it's only in Japanese as long as the game isn't story heavy. also I'd like some gacha RPGs that are actually good and fair like shin megami tensei dx2. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jul 2020 03:24 PM PDT Yesterday Runestone Keeper worked just fine, today I get only "Your trial has expired" text on the main interface. The game is not a trial game, it's free with IAP so I'm at a loss as to why it no longer functions. I've emailed the developers, but since the game never achieved any real level of success on Andriod, I feel that it shall never be updated and I'm on the hunt for a similar game. I have also deeply loved Dungelot and Dungelot: Shattered Lands. Despite complaints that they are grindy (which are invalid, these grievances are by players who just tap-tap-tap and don't try to understand the mechanics) I love these games as well. Please help me find something with similar mechanics:
Anything with some or all of the above would be great. I have tried Gumballs & Dungeons and I felt it was a bit too casual. However I am very willing to try new games with different mechanics, as long as they are primarily grid-based and require constant re-evaluation of strategy and order-of-operations. Tap-Tap-Tap games where player skill is minimal are not interesting to me. Ideally I would like the kind of game where given "perfect" strategy, victory is almost always within the hands of the player. I also don't mind a bit of grinding if the underlying game mechanics and strategy needs are strong. [link] [comments]

Looking for a casual game that doesnt require a lot of attention. Posted: 14 Jul 2020 12:46 AM PDT Basically I'm looking for a game I can play on the side while doing other things. Maybe one of the countless Idle games, as long as it's not riddled with ads. I prefer paying for the game and no IAP. Thanks in advance 🙂 [link] [comments] |
