Congratulations to u/DiabloXXVII for winning the May contest with their Akai Tsuki setup. Your theme will be displayed in our banner throughout June, and will be added to our Hall of Fame.

This subreddit is called r/AndroidThemes. Let's make our themes more about Android, rather than only homescreen, this month. You need to customize your homescreen in a way that ties it together with another part of your smartphone experience.

Do you have a sick substratum theme? Use that as a reference for your homescreen and make them look like they're meant to go together, then showcase both! Maybe you're using a pretty theme in your favorite Reddit app? Style your homescreen to match it and show us how they look with one another. What about your lockscreen? Maybe it's time to customize it so that the experience is coherent with what's in your launcher!

These rules apply specifically to this month's contest:

    1. Your homescreen setup must be made to be visually connected to another part of your smartphone experience (3rd party app that you've themed, system-wide theme, unusual app drawer layout, customized lockscreen, etc).
    2. You must showcase both your homescreen and the second part of your smartphone experience (see above) in one [Contest] post.
    3. Your submission CANNOT consist of homescreen and a stock 3rd party app (visually unmodified Google app, stock OEM lockscreen, etc.)

    General contest rules:

    1. Your submission must be a separate post and tagged as [Contest].

    2. The theme must be your creation. No modifying existing theme files.

    3. Your submission must be a newly made theme, you can't post something you've already shared someplace else.

    4. You must not collaborate or ask for feedback during the making of your setup. Your contest submission needs to be your own work only.

    5. You are allowed only one submission.

    6. You are expected to share all files related to the submission except the KLWP/KWGT file, those are optional.

The winner will be announced on July 1st, 2020. Winning submission will be displayed in the subreddit banner for the duration of the next contest. It will also be added to our Hall of Fame.

[HELP] New to Android Themes and Launchers

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 02:05 PM PDT

Hi guys I'll be buying OP8 pro soon after my iPhone has been broken. I have never used launcher or themes before and m new to this subreddit but the designs and creativity looks so cool on android.

So can anyone help me out what is subreddit is for and everyone who's posting their themes?

Do I just download their theme file and I can use it as like a lock screen or hone screen? And everything else remains same?

Do I have to root my device for this or not?

Any page link where I can read about this or something can be helpful aswell
