I can literaly be watching YouTube or scrolling on Facebook and it just randomly takes my phone off of the app i was on and onto the play store and displays that app, and if anyone knows how to get rid of it please tell me as it's really annoying. I've deleted almost every app, I constantly clear my cache, and I've gone through 3 junk cleaning apps but it still fills up in hours. | Problem with factory resetting a rooted phone Posted: 27 Jun 2020 11:27 AM PDT Moto G4 Plus TWRP 3.1.0-0 The problem started this morning, from one moment to another videos stopped reproducing, the ones I recorded with my camera, YT, etc., every single one except the YT chrome ones. I erased all cache, uninstalled some third-party apps, and reset, didnt worked, I went to recovery mode, it also didnt work, so I hard reset, and I got stuck at fastboot flash mode, with the Start option, but no way to select it (cant use the power button). I used sdk platform tools to enter the fastboot reboot comand, and now Im stuck in a loop, its either Bootloader, or the TWRP, any suggestions? P.S: Even after the hard reset I can still see every single file I had before (including installation ones); I also wiped using TWRP (data, cache, Dalvik); Should I be worried about hardbrick? | Can only access specific websites using mobile data. Help! Posted: 27 Jun 2020 02:50 AM PDT Problem started 12 hours ago. When using mobile data on Mi A2 Lite Android 10, I can only make Google searches, watch YouTube, and access mainstream sites and apps like Instagram, Facebook and Wikipedia. Everything else fails to load and sometimes chrome returns error DNS PROBE FINISHED NO INTERNET. It's not browser related because the same thing happens to Firefox, and even apps and games in my phone. For example, I can't access Reddit or play Call of Duty Mobile. Its as if I'm not connected to the internet. Rest of my family doesn't have this problem, even though they use the same cellular network. Things I have tried: Reset APN settings, reboot device, clear certificates, disable developer options, contact provider( they ve no idea), turn data on and off, turn airplane mode off and on. Both phones are running amdriod 10. I'm using Samsung's default keyboard on the s9 and Google keyboard on the OnePlus. Both phones do a horrible job at correcting my spelling no matter how similar/small is my spelling mistake. An example: 'dectation' would not yield the suggestion/correction 'dictation'. As a result I have to go to Google search and type 'dectation' to know the correct spelling. Going to Goole search always gives me the correct spelling all the time. Why is it so hard for the keyboard to be more helpful with spelling? [link] [comments] |

Past me: To start off, I use a Nokia 5.1 Plus. I bought it in Delhi, India in November 2018 and have used it since. Some of you may or may not know, but the models "x.1" had a charging port issue where the soldering was done badly on all models. As such my phone's broke, and had to compromise with weird charging positions, till I moved to Europe where my uncle changed it for free (we weren't cheap staking, I just never went to fix it) Anyways the replacement broke to after a few months and weird charging positions meant my chargers broke and failed. One charger never charged again and I thought it died for good, so i needed to replace the port. After 2 months of my phone being dead (we arent in a good situation to fix it, +Pandemic) a new charger and another weird compromise later, it charged to a 100%! But, my phone does not accept my PIN. I know the PIN to be correct, it just doesn't accept it. I tried variations in hopes I had changed it, but didn't unlock. Now I know from extensive searching the only way left - since my USB Debugging was turned off so no ADB route - is Factory Resetting. Problem is, I have some files - years of games saves, photos and such - that I haven't backed up, and I need them. So is there any way I could get to them? Ive been trough a lot of stuff with phone batteries and I know they can get withered with time but this is too much. It feels like the phone is warmer so I think its some sort of a virus or something... I dont know but its very inconsistent and im genuinely scared for my phone because im in such a bad place with no money for a new phone and I love it so much i dont wanna part with it just yet. Posted: 27 Jun 2020 07:52 AM PDT I've used computers for most of my life and am learning to work with them at a deeper level, however while I understand phones are essentially single board computers, I don't have a great grasp on how they function and wanted to try and understand them a bit better too. I've tried googling the question but only get very surface level or irrelevant answers such as "smaller screens". I'm looking for more technical answers about any hardware, software, and functionality differences. | NVIDIA Shield - Problem side-loading ITV Hub. What now? Posted: 27 Jun 2020 12:37 AM PDT If there is a better subreddit for this question, someone please let me know. First, to get the question out of the way, I'm trying to side load ITV Hub because my Google country is not UK and therefore the Play Store won't offer me the app. Doesn't seem to matter that I'm physically in the UK. Grrrr. I downloaded the apk using APK Downloader / apkcombo, copied it to a folder on the Shield, and first attempted to use File X-Plore to install the APK. That didn't seem to work at all even though it went through some motions, so I downloaded and used APKCombo Installer. That app thinks it worked and even shows me an iTV icon next to the apk in it's history, but when I search for the app using all methods I know how to use (The main screen, Sideload Launcher, and Settings -> Apps -> See All Apps) it's not there. I go back into APKCombo Installer and try to run it from there and it can't run it. I am not rooted, so I can't seem to access all the root directories with the File X-Plore app and therefore can't see what may or may not have gotten partially installed.I tried to install it again using APKCombo Installer and it asked me "Do you want to install an update to this built-in application?". Now, that's really interesting because this is most certainly not a built-in application which makes me wonder if it tried unsuccessfully to install it into some system folder that it shouldn't have.At this point, I'm a little lost. I don't know how to figure out if any of it tried to install and therefore don't know how to uninstall it to try again. I'd also be open to any other ideas on how to install this apk since my attempts didn't seem to work. If I need to, I'm open to rooting the Shield. What do I do next? Thanks! P.S. | The navigator bar disappeared after an update Posted: 27 Jun 2020 01:28 AM PDT So yesterday I got a notification that an update is available that I ignored but it looks like it did it overnight. When I unlocked the phone there was just a white screen with one button that did nothing, all navigator buttons are gone and I can't get the notification screen to slide down. All I've managed to do is to take a screenshot but then got stuck after that. Restarting the phone multiple times didn't help. I know I can factory reset it but I would like to avoid that because I have a lot of apps that I need for school which would be a pain to get all back and activate. | Posted: 27 Jun 2020 05:42 AM PDT After the most recent security update I have had several audio issues appear that where the phone gets into a strange state where: 1.) The alarm will not make any sound at all when it goes off. I've checked do not disturb and alarms are still allowed and I've checked the volume and it is turned to the max level. There is the normal visual alert on the screen when the alarm is going off and a notification afterwards that I missed an alarm is I don't turn it off. 2.) Media won't play through the phone speaker, but will play through Bluetooth 3.) In phone calls I can't hear anything through the phone or Bluetooth if it is connected, but the other person can hear me. I've tried connecting a Bluetooth headset and selecting audio to go to that and the phone speaker and neither works. A restart seems to fix the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this?
