    Hi all,

    Unfortunately my power cut out while my tv was updating to a new version of Android. Since then the TV doesn't want to turn on anymore. The only sign of life is the standby light which turns on when you plug the tv in and goes off when you plug it out.

    I have tried numeral ways of getting it back to factory settings, by holding the power button, volume buttons etc when plugging the TV back on but haven't found the correct combination just yet.

    Thomson support has been truely awful, answering once every 2-3 weeks and wasting the replies by asking in which country I have bought the TV instead of actually trying to provide service.

    Hopefully one of you geniusses can help me further with this issue! I'll send over a pack of beers for the golden tip :)

    Gigabit Ethernet connection on mi box s ?

    I was about to get Ethernet adapter for my mi box so it could have a faster connection to my plex server. But i just realised that it has USB 2.0 and it could only allow max speed of 480mbps.... So should i just don't bother with the adapter anymore and go for WiFi or thats not the case ?.

    Android TV the way to go for watching Youtube on an old TV

    Hi guys,

    My mum wanted to find a way to watch YouTube on her "dumb" TV, and she doesn't want do it via the other methods such as streaming from another device. Would buying an Android TV device be the way to go? I'm looking at the Xiaomi one which seems pretty nice, but not sure if I would really need to buy an Android TV Box for this.

    Is it possible to change Google Assistant voice on Philips Android TV?

    Basically the title. I have a Philips 65PUS8503 smart Android TV with Android Oreo which brought along Google Assistant to the TV. However, the Assistant voice, or rather accent, is British English.

    To me it sounds annoying and I want to change it to the default Google Assistant American English voice, like the one I have on my Google Minis and on my phone but I simply can't find the option to do it.

    In the initial TV setup after a factory reset there is no option to select USA as the region, and there's no way to change the region after the initial setup. A quick Google search revealed that Philips doesn't really sell smart TVs on the ameircan market.

    Anyway, I have found no options or settings for the Assistant on the TV itself. Is there any way to change that voice or am I stuck with the British version?

    I have a pretty slow ethernet speed and have tried multiple ways to improve but not this one.

    I want to buy these:

    1.What are the reasons powerline adapter may not make my ethernet travel through the electrical circut?

    2.Does the amplifier cut my ethernet speed if it is connected to the powerline adapter? (Does it work like Mesh WIFI?)

    3.What are some compatible USB to ethernet multiport adapters that I can use on my Xiaomi Mi Box S?     This is the way I want to solve all my ethernet problems. I live in an appartment.

    What will the branding be for the upcoming Android TV dongle from Google? Thoughts?

    Do you think the upcoming Android TV dongle from Google will be branded 'Nest' because it is a smart home device, or will it be "Pixel"? I'm guess is that it will be nest because pixel is for mobile computing devices which Android TV is not. What do you all think?

    Excited for TiVo Stream

    I am hoping that we may be able to pull the stream apk from their device to run on other Android TV devices.

    Their content aggregation is so nice, then to be able to just list all add-ons it is available for, better than stock.

    Pixel Buds Work Great with the Shield TV
