4K TV, But android screen resolution is 1080 Posted: 30 Apr 2020 12:35 AM PDT I've just bought a MiTV 4 55 inch series with 4K display, but I am wondering why the android reports it as FullHD, and i can't change the resolution. When I connect it with my PC over HDMI, it's shows 4K@60Hz. But why does the android only reports it as 1080? And using Kodi, it also reports at 1080. I have 4K files from HDD and played it using Kodi/VLC and I can't distinguish between FullHD or 4K. [link] [comments]
Screensaver for shield that lets me play slidedshow of 4k hdr mov files? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:16 PM PDT Long story short Arial Dream gives me this flashing green screen problem if I use the screensaver long enough. So I took matters into my own hands and downloaded the apple TV videos myself in their full 4k hdr glory ( https://aerial-screensavers.netlify.app/ ). However Im having an issue finding a way to take those video files and play them on my shield. Is there an android tv screensaver that lets me point at local video files and play them in a randomized slideshow? I've tried https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.furnaghan.android.photoscreensaver but it doesnt seem to want to play the video files I throw at it, 4k or 1080p [link] [comments]

Anyone else unable to use AmazonPrime video? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:15 PM PDT I'm on an Nvidia shield pro 2019. Was in the middle of a show and it crashed out with a "There's a problem connecting to prime video which might go away shortly. If the problem continues, please contact Amazon customer service at Amazon.com/videohelp. Error code 1071" It seems like its not them though since my wifes iPhone, my Samsung S8+, both of our laptops all work fine Its just the Shield with the issue, all on the same LAN [link] [comments]

Best upgrade from a Mi box s ? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 01:57 PM PDT When I watch Netflix on the native TV app, the quality is really impressive but when I watch it through the Mi box s, it's really blend in comparison. I still need an android tv device because the native app store of my tv is simply sad and empty. What would be a much better option than the mibox s? I thought about fire tv, but many seems to think the Nvidia shield tv does a much better job on the 4k and resolution quality in general. What should I get knowing the 4k quality is my biggest concern? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
