Philips 55PUS6561/12 bootloop Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:08 AM PDT Hi everyone, I own this TV since ~4 (definitely 3) years ago. Somewhere in the first months it started to exhibit bootloop (power led would start blinking and after the Android Logo it would start again instead of going ahead and actually starting). Searched on google, found a firmware on a german site (I think) flashed it, no more issues after. Since then I kept it up to date with all the official updates that Philips pushed throughout the years. Last night around 1 AM started again out of the blue. I was watching Netflix and it froze and then wasn't able to boot anymore. This time no more warranty so the problem is really serious. I tried to flash the latest firmware that I have found on Philips website. I tried 2 versions (international one found on a forum |autorun_QM163E_000.026.068.000.upg|and the Romanian one as I leave in Romania) without any success. The RO (55PUS6561_12_fus_ron.zip) one is flashed successfully but the TV still doesn't boot. Around 3 AM I gave up and I left it unplugged until 9 AM when I started again (search, download, copy on the USB drive, fail, repeat). I tried to use a wipedatatool_QM16.3ELA in various formats (zip and upg), these are not even running. Various error messages and in the end the installation is aborted. From time to time it goes into recovery by itself as it would acknowledge the fact that it needs some kind of help. Tried to clear the cache, ran without issues, but still no luck. As both me and my wife are working from home in this crazy period of time, my daughter is the most impacted as she would watch Youtube on it from time to time (now she has the phone that I usually try to avoid). I am thinking to call Philips Customer Care Monday morning and I hope that although my warranty went down the drain they will be able and willing to offer a solution. ​ Can anyone give me some help ? Record/image capture on sony bravia android tv, possible ? Posted: 24 Apr 2020 02:40 PM PDT Firstly I like to say I dont watch TY so I am not planing to record tv shows. I am using my TV as monitor for nearly everything and I like to take screenshot or even record small videos of gameplay from Nintendo classic mini or PS2. I have done some research and I can only find app that records show or external hardware like elgato, but I dont have the economy for that kind of hardware. I also did some research on if it was possible to make a raspberry pi a video capture device with a hdmi input but that option is also fair expensive because of a special hdmi to csi-2 bridge chip I would need to import. I also learn that I could plug a usb stick for extra storage into the tv but it would be unreadable on other devices so I quickly skip that option. I hope someone have a answer. It is just for a home project to keep my mind sane during these lockdown times. Mount SMB folder Posted: 24 Apr 2020 05:27 PM PDT HI all. I want to mount a folder for a smb share. I can access my smb folder, i play the file in it. (For that i use CxExplorer). I want to have a folder that is an access to that samba folder. Because currently I can only access it through the Cx Explorer. Best stock android TV? Posted: 24 Apr 2020 05:04 PM PDT Hi guys, Sorry if this has been asked before! I'm moving out soon and looking for a nice mid range TV for my room. I'd really like a TV with the android TV os built in, what I want is the most stock android TV something like the Google pixel of android TVs! From what I can see and have used is that Sony have there own version and Samsung have their own different version. But I can never really find any details on how the android os works and which TV has the least bloatware, and features that I'm never going to use.
