| How to keep screen off when phone charging? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 08:51 AM PDT Hello, Weird issue i'm not sure this is even doable. But I have a vertical wireless charger on my desk and when I place my phone on it the screen turn on to show it is charging and also turns on face ID unlocking the phone because it is facing me. This means every time I want to charge my phone I have to press the power button after i place my phone on the charger. Is there a way to keep the phone in sleep mode when plugin in or activating wireless charging? [link] [comments] |

Clicked on word document attachment from possible phishing email from "Amazon". Worries malware is being put onto my phone as I type this. Turned wifi off and using 4G. Dont know what else to do. Perpperfy, an online store for furniture was occupying 3.6 GB of data. The second website in that list was occupying only 87 MB of data. Why was this website occupying so much data. There's two settings which block offensive words, one in the Gboard app settings, and one on Android's own settings, I've toggled them both off, but it's still f****** blocking offensive words. | Best Titanium Backup alternative for Android 10? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 12:43 PM PDT I have a rooted Galaxy S9+ running a custom Android 10 ROM (One UI 2.1) and I am looking for apps similar to Titanium Backup, which hasn't been working properly for me since Android 10 was released (maybe even earlier as well). I am aware that there are apps like "Super Backup Pro" but these only backup the apps (APKs) if I am not mistaken, and I am looking for an app that will restore app + data (saved login, app preferences, etc.) I used CWM's Helium Backup in the past but it doesn't seem to work on Android 10, at least not for me. Note: I use Smart Switch to backup everything (SMS, call logs, home screen settings, etc.) but as I said, I need something that will restore the app's data as well. Any suggestions are appreciated. | Unknown app in battery usage stats! Posted: 18 Apr 2020 12:12 PM PDT I am going through my battery usage stats after a heavy usage and found something interesting, screenshot here. I've checked the installed apps in settings -> Apps & notifications -> All apps and found no app on that name. Wondering what that could be. Everything has gotten a very green hue to it, including blacks. There's even a little flickering occasionally and some weird shadows have appeared for a few seconds. Its description does says RGB16 is faster but of low-quality than RGB32. But as for YUV, it only says it is fastest but may not be supported or experimental. So, what about the video quality of YUV? Obviously a "built-in compass" must be hardware, and I also assume that other thing. I don't know if they're installed or not and don't know how to check. I am using a ZTE on Verizon, by the way. But if the app says they're not there, I guess they aren't. This may be like asking if I can download RAM, but maybe there's an alternative? I just wanna look at stars. | Hyperlinks Not Working in Gmail/Messenger Posted: 18 Apr 2020 10:42 AM PDT Hello all, trying to help my father troubleshoot an issue he has had with his phone. I tried looking at it and browsing the internet for answers, but no luck. Any hyperlink that is sent to him either via Gmail or Messenger do not open. Clicking it makes a quick flash of an app opening sometimes, but nothing actually opens. Holding the link and trying to pick what to do with the hyperlink also does not work. Is it lack of apps utilizing the newer, more powerful hardware, It is it a political issue (licensing etc) or the wrong architecture? | OK this new to me when i install an app from unknown source please need help Posted: 18 Apr 2020 10:16 AM PDT guys my google play store is setup to uk reign am in kuwait right now need to download McDonald app the problem is that the app is only for kuwait but as always do is download the app from other sources the problem is when i run the app it wont work it detected that i have download it from unkown-source and will not run will give an error code (W2) tried different source same problem this is the 1st time that happens to me and it was working fine in the past years any solution to bypass this error. | Posted: 18 Apr 2020 10:01 AM PDT I'd like to connect an Android phone/tablet to both an external hard drive (standard 2.5" usb drive which only has a usb lead and no power socket, usually plugged into a desktop/laptop) and also another device's usb port (a DAC in this case but probably not important). I was thinking that maybe I could get a powered usb hub, and an adaptor so that I could connect the phone to the hub (as the "main device") then connect the hd and the dac to the hub. Would this work? It would be perpetually charging the phone/tablet, powering the hd and allowing the DAC to receive audio data from the phone. [link] [comments] |

The phone vibrates indicating it still works but the screen is black. The sd card inside is 128GB and there was a lot of data on it that I don't want to delete. The SD card is specifically formatted for the phone itself, so I can't see it on any other device. How can I access my phone's data and storage without using the screen? I've tried 3 different android 10 GSI's and every one of them ended in a bootloop..I own a Lenovo k6 power running resurrection remix V6.2.1(8.1 Oreo) And TWRP ver. 3.3.1-2 with magisk.. I'm actually pretty new to flashing GSI's and I have project treble enabled.. so any help will be appreciated . I had to choose a presentation with my final project. I built an android app and I need to make a one hour presentation. I really don't want it to be boring . The main thing I know I must contain is an app that the other side could see via a shared screen, so I will use android studio to build a very simple app that will show operation of the main components of android. What do you think I must contain in the presentation ? I need to assume the other side don't know anything about android and at the end they need to feel motivated getting into android. Posted: 18 Apr 2020 07:57 AM PDT I opened it on my PC and it gave me a QR code to scan, but my phone has no app that can use the information in the QR code. When I search my apps, nothing comes up. When I view the app in the Google Play store, uninstall updates is the only option. I uninstalled the updates and reinstalled them, but that didn't fix it. I restarted my phone and the open button was there, but clicking it made it disappear and nothing opened. When I try to follow the link in Google Chrome to the Google Play Store, no app is found to open the URL. I have a Galaxy S9+ and the newest version of Android (10). [link] [comments] |

| Cant make or receive phone calls, texts or use my data. Posted: 18 Apr 2020 05:53 AM PDT So out of nowhere today my phone can no longer make or receive phone calls or texts. I have signal, airplane mode is not on. Phone is samsung s9, network is with 3. My bills are paid and i haven't downloaded or changed anything recently. Here's what I have tried Restarting phone, Using safe mode, Turning airplane mode on and off, Cleaning and checking sim card, Using someone else's sim card, it worked fine, Resetting APN, Checked if barring is turned on, it isnt.
