| Oneplus: How to stop the screen turning off or dimming down? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 06:36 AM PDT Hello! I have a old Oneplus 5t, which i have turned into a PC vitals monitor screen inside my PC case. But there is one huge problem, the screen turns itself off. In the display settings I can change the timer, so that it will turn of after a maximum of 30 mins, but not to never turn off. This seems like a quite arbitrary decision on Oneplus's side, not just giving me the option of have it been on indefinitely, like every other phone manufacturer I have used. I have then discovered with some googling, that in the developer options you can activate something called "stay awake", which ostensibly makes it so "screen will never sleep while charging". This seemed like exactly what I was looking for, but alas not. Because I then have the new problem, that even with this setting activated, after the 30 mins have passed, the screen dims down to practically black. So my question is, if anyone here knows a way in which, I can have the screen not go to sleep or dim down after the backed in maximum of 30 mins.? Thanks for any help! [link] [comments] |

Now, it seems like there are very few good mobile games that feel like there was a sufficient amount of effort and thought put in them. Are there any decent mobile games without ads? When we are driving and listening to music via Bluetooth on the head unit of my car, all notification sounds that occur will mute/lower the volume of the music and play the notification sound insanely loud. After I leave my phone plugged in for what seems like more than 12 hours, I get this message: "Your phone has entered safe charging mode due to long time charging. You can re-connect charger to release battery charging restriction." My phone is plugged in most of the time and I take it with me only occasionally and using this safe charging mode would make sense. I have downloaded the app "Open Camera" without any luck. The USB audio is working tho, because I have used an app called "USB audio recorder PRO" and it recognizes the audio, but this app doesn't make videos. | How to remove ransomeware from Galaxy Tab 4? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:11 PM PDT My dad somehow (I know how) got FBI ransomeware installed on his Galaxy Tab 4. I tried to follow the instructions linked above but I can't boot it into safe mode. I hold the power button down but nothing happens. The virus won't let the power off option pop up. I can't swipe down the notification bar or swipe up the dock. I have no idea how much battery is left or how long it's been like this. | Problem with microSD and internal storage Posted: 12 Apr 2020 11:45 AM PDT So, well. I'm here asking the almighty Reddit for help I've had this Xiaomi Mi A1 (AFAIK, like the 5X in hardware but with Android One without customisation from Xiaomi) for quite some time. I always used a 64gb microSD card from SanDisk but I think it recently got to its limit so i swapped it for a 128gb one. An option for formatting the microSD as internal storage was given and I chose that thinking it would decrease the usage of the phone's internal storage and therefore increase its lifespan. Performance of some apps was quite reduced (loading times were horrible, they froze constantly...) so I, today, decided to reformat it as portable storage and was having some problems: First, the PC doesn't recognize the on-board storage when connected through USB (shows only the microSD, as when I had it as internal storage) Second, when trying to use the file explorer to access the on-board, it stops loading with the caption of "A moment..." Third, in settings, even though the microSD appears as inserted and all, also a thing saying "Not inserted" is there. I tried all the combinations of resetting, getting the microSD in-out... that I could come up with and stays the same. I'd proceed to reformat it as internal and then as portable yet again to see if this solved anything, but I'm afraid of the situation getting worse. I'd appreciate any help or info on what the problem could be. Luckily, all the important stuff from the microSD was backed up on an SSD beforehand so I can format it as many times as needed [link] [comments] |

Wifi calling works for me when connected on all wifi network except my home one. So when i connect to my home's wifi it never works but on other wifi network it works... Here's the interesting Part: When i connect to my home's wifi from my pc and make a hotspot for my home's wifi to tether it and connect my phone to that hotspot then it works but why doesn't it directly work with my home wifi.. So if i connect my phone to "Max" , wifi calling works but if i connect directly to "Demonetix" it doesn't. any way i can debug this or provide logs for this issue? Or any solutions? | Screen overlay detected, even after disabling every app Posted: 12 Apr 2020 11:03 AM PDT I've already spent the past 2 weeks trying to find a solution for this but I still can't find any. Every time I try to grant an app a permission, a pop-up shows up saying screen overlay detected. I have already disabled every app in the "apps that can appear on top" menu and tried uninstalling apps that might have caused the issue but none of that is working. I will be happy to provide a list of my installed apps if that helps. Is there any other solution to this? My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (n910u) running on Android 6.0.1 on TouchWiz. My phone is not rooted and the closest thing I've done to modding it is grant an adb command to the app "super status bar". If anyone can help find a solution to this I will be extremely grateful.
