| [REQUEST] games like PC game turmoil Posted: 04 Mar 2020 11:57 AM PST Does anyone know of a game for Android (or iOS) like the PC game turmoil? Factors I like about the game:
I guess something that comes close are the mining games, but it seems that it is impossible to find a nice non pay to win game in that category from the play store itself. Any suggestion? Paid is fine :) [link] [comments] | ||

| Best telescopic controllers for shooters/fps? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 11:39 AM PST What are everyone's thoughts on this? I own the Ipega PG-9167 but the sticks diagonal handling is a deal-breaker. I have a wee 2 but the L3/R3 moved to C and Z, along with the tiny total travel of the sticks, is too much of a deal-breaker. I've heard the glap might have good sticks, but those triggers seem like they'd be a pain. It's also rather big and I'm looking for something a bit more portable. I'm currently considering the razer junglecat since it's supposed to have sticks similar to joycons. Joycon sticks aren't perfect, but they'd be a pretty big step up from everything I've tried so far. One other controller I'm considering is gamevice, I've heard it has decent sticks as well. Not having to charge it and reduced latency from being plugged in seems like a pretty big plus over the junglecat if the sticks are acceptable for FPS. Any thoughts on my considerations, or any other controllers I should consider? I do own an xbox controller with clip, but find it being top-heavy from the phone uncomfortable compared to a telescopic controller. An xbox controller also can't fit in a pocket like the junglecat, wee, or gamevice. I'm familiar with the kishi that has been announced, but I'm looking to play around with something until it gets released. [link] [comments] | ||
| [Review] Upcoming Pokémon Tribute 'Coromon' Thoughts and Review (Demo Version) Posted: 04 Mar 2020 11:33 AM PST Hey r/AndroidGaming, finally got around to finishing this game and making a write up for it. Anyway, this is going to be a long post so, let's get into it. If you're in r/CoromonTheGame, feel free to skip down to the review section, as you're most likely aware of the stuff directly below you [Introduction] First thing first, obviously, I am NOT the developer for this game. I'm not affiliated with it in any way whatsoever. Coromon is currently in early access, (You can find the website here) and if I remember correctly, is planning to release around June 2020. The devs have said that they plan on adding trading for 'Mons, Online PvP, and a plethora of other potential features if the game picks up an active user base after release. The game is a "Demo" right now, you can't play all the way through and your Coromon are currently soft capped at level 23. This being said, there's lots of content for a demo - I got a good 5-6 hours out of it - and the promise of special rewards and in game items if you still have the demo installed whenever the full game rolls around. As well as all your progress and Mons getting carried over. I urge everyone here to at least try out the game, it's available for everyone, for free (for now), and it's been very enjoyable for me. I'm excited to see what it plays like in a couple months! Link : Coromon on the Playstore If you like what you see, they have a sub over at r/CoromonTheGame and the devs are active over there. Please bring any feedback or questions you have other there as the devs are super helpful. [Review] - Keep in mind, things regarding gameplay could change between now and release. I'm not sure how much demo content is meant to be where it is, if that makes sense. Certain items obtained in the demo might not be available until later on in the story when the full finished game is released - I will attempt to keep this spoiler free, anything I deem too informational will be marked as such : Now anyway, let's get started I don't usually care for mobile clones of Pokémon games. I love Pokémon, and I have basically checked out every mobile attempt at the formula. Nexomon (Formerly Micromon), Evertale, etc etc I mean, basically everything. Most games on mobile that attempt to recreate or follow the Pokémon formula fall flat, and do so with little grace or attention to personality. Coromon convinced me pretty early on that this wouldn't be the case, and it continued to prove it to me throughout my playthrough. Design The first thing that attracted me to this game was without a doubt the pixel art. If I'm going to invest time and energy into a game it has to be visually pleasing for me. It's one of the first things I look for. I'm not entirely sure how many people worked on this game, I'm currently aware of 2 developers (they appear in the demo multiple times to talk to you and inform you of demo related things), regardless, whoever is responsible for the pixel art in this game, they're not getting the credit they deserve. The Environment dependant backdrops for battles are gorgeous, and dynamic enough that you constantly feel like you're moving through the game. The attack animations are diverse and clean and they have so much personality. Attacks that tend to be similar (same type, same mon, same attack type (physical, special)) are still unique and distinctive. The mon designs are delightful, the idle animations are specific to each one, and allows for each Coromom to just oooooze and drip personality that otherwise wouldn't even be possible. The evolutions are all well designed and make sense (from what I've seen so far), and while you can see the inspiration from certain Pokémon in some of the available ones in the demo, none of them feel like they're ripping off Pokémon's IP. This is a big deal for me, and as a result I want to really touch on something here. Lots of Pokémon tributes (and often times, Pokémon clones), tend to just blatantly steal Mon designs and then act like it's inspiration or homage or something or other. These Mon designs genuinely feel unique, and whoever designed them really cared about the aesthetic and feel of each one. It feels personal and special with each new one you discover. I want to genuinely thank whoever worked on these designs. You did an amazing job. I'm excited to see what else you designed when the full game releases. Mechanics This is probably one of my favorite parts of the game as well. Most the fundamental Pokémon mechanics you're use to can be found in Coromon, but the developers decided they wanted to expand on somethings that The Pokémon Company really never paid much attention too. First off, weather. Weather in the Pokémon games was mostly developing around Gen 3 - 5. And while it primarily functions the same in Coromon and current Gen Pokémon games, there's a heavier focus on element, as well as effect in Coromon. Weather actively buffs and debuffs correlating Mon types. For Example : Water type Coromon do more damage with water type moves when it's raining, as well as the burn status effect cannot be applied when it's raining. Things like this make weather really important for your Party, and especially for whatever Mon you decide to start when charging into a new area. Secondly, we have a redux of the IV/EV, and Shiny system from The Pokémon games. I have to be honest here, this might be one of my favorite features as of right now. In Pokémon this process has ALWAYS been complicated and convoluted (Primarily EVs). They can be overly complex for newer players, and as a game mechanic and feature, it's often ignored. Coromon just has a Potential Value, which is determined when the Coromon is generated or when you encounter it in the wild. The value is between 1-21 and determines its maximum potential. The higher the value the better. If this value is a certain level, your Coromon will be Standard, Potent, or Perfect. I believe Potent is reached at a value of 17 (not sure), and Perfect is reached at 21, everything below Potent is just a standard run of the mill Coromon. On top of this, Standard, Potent, and Perfect all have different colorations specific and unique to each Mon. This is how you tell them apart in the wild, as you have no other way of determining a Potential Value until later in the game, when you have a device that can read the PVs from the Mon in your party.Your end goal for the game will most likely be to have a party of Max Level, Max Potential Coromons. Also important point here, that Potential Value can be changed by a machine you have access to later on in the game. But from what I've seen so far, it cost 500 gold to use (In game currency obtainable through playing, there's no premium currency in the demo, and none that I'm aware of for this game as of now), and only raises that potential value by around 3 in my experience. Story I feel the need to have this section here, as this is an important part of the game. We have access to what appears to be a pretty short portion of the story right now (I'd assume maybe 1/5). So I don't want to comment too much on this. But my initial impression is pretty positive, this world has its own spin on Mon Training and the origins of their power, but still appears to follow the staple Pokémon formula of "Powerful Mon in distress or possibly causing damage to the world, and bad corporation trying to exploit them." It could be more complex or more simple, I wouldn't be able to determine that as of now. [Verdict] This is a special take on the Pokémon Genre that appears to have endless potential from where I stand. The possibility of online battling and trading is a big deal for me, and I'd imagine many others as well. It continually attempts to build on top of what you expect, while adding new features and improving on mechanics that you're familiar with. It's a breath of fresh air not only in regards to this Genre and Formula, but to the mobile gaming market as well. [Bugs and/or Suggestions] Any amendments or additions to this list after the initial posting will be marked with *, **, and *** respectively. (This list was added for my initial posting in r/CoromonTheGame because the devs are active there, and I wanted to provide extra feedback. This list isn't really important outside of that but I feel the need to leave it in, just in case anyone has anything they'd like to add)

| [Request] Game with naval ship battle suggestion Posted: 04 Mar 2020 05:33 AM PST I've finished Pirates and Traders numerous of times, and I absolutely love the turn-based naval combat. I also played Pillars of Eternity 2 on PC, which also include naval ship battle minigame (but a bit pointless and lacking), but I still love the idea very much. Can anyone please help me suggest a game with similar mechanics of turn-based naval ship battle, ship/crew management? Some RPG element is also welcomed. I've tried Pirates and Traders 2 as well, but it's still in beta with numerous of bugs and bad UI. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 04 Mar 2020 08:48 AM PST My controller for ps4 broke down recently so I am looking for a survival games that I can play with my friend. | Looking for a racing game with full control over the car and long races Posted: 04 Mar 2020 08:22 AM PST I played NFS No Limits but the races are literally less than 1 minute long and theres no acceleration and break, seems like they focus more on tuning than racing. Any recommendations for something better? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||
| Pokemon / JRPG game that can be easily played with one hand? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 07:28 AM PST I love to play games in portrait mode, but its not a must. I'm not really into Anime styles such as Evertale's artwork, otherwise I'm game for just about anything. Its gotta be something that can be played largely with one hand, nothing that requires me to use two hands at once, which honestly shouldn't be that hard given the genre. edit: Has to be to be free or 5$ or less. Unless its amazing and has replay value I can't really shell out more than 5$ [link] [comments] | ||

| [DEV] L-Game is "the hardest easy game"! Posted: 03 Mar 2020 04:01 PM PST A while back, VSauce2 posted a video about "The Hardest Easy Game,", and I thought it'd be neat to make a super basic version of it on Android, just to play with friends here and there. Well, it got more attention than I expected on the Google Play Store, so I expanded the project to include a how-to-play, some basic color settings, and an AI for single-player. At this point, I consider it to be a fully finished project, so I wanted to share it here! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Vemodalen.LGame On your turn, move your "L Piece" somewhere else on the grid. Then you may move one of the "neutral points," if you'd like. If you cannot move your L on your turn, then it's game over. Deceptively simple game! Check it out! [link] [comments] | ||
