| 4 Quick Tl;Dr Android Game Reviews / Recommendations (Episode 136) Posted: 12 Feb 2020 01:19 AM PST Happy Frida...wait, it's Wednesday already? I didn't get to post this weekly thread last Friday, so here it goes - with a bit of delay; my weekly summary of the 4 most interesting mobile games I played last week. Hope you'll enjoy :) This week, I played a good range of interesting games from a lootbased top-down action RPG runner, to a PvP Tower Rush game set in the Magic the Gathering universe, an awesome roguelike action game by the developers of Mars: Mars, and a brand new competitive 3v3 team-based tank brawler! Disagree with my opinion? Let's have a friendly discussion below. New to these posts? Check out the first one from 136 weeks ago here. The games are "ranked" somewhat subjectively from best to worst, so take the ranking for what it is. Let's get to the games:Magic: ManaStrike [Game Size: 515 MB] (free)Genre: Strategy / PvP / Tower Rush - Requires Online Access Orientation: Landscape Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: Magic: ManaStrike is the official Magic the Gathering "Tower Rush" PvP game - so essentially a Clash Royale alternative. And this one takes a surprisingly interesting take on the genre. The graphics look great, the UI is well-made, and in addition to normal units deployed onto the playing field, we also have a main hero to deploy, around which we can continue to deploy additional units - even far into the opponent's side of the playing field. This makes really strong pushes much easier, and helps make combat really intense. We receive new free cards packs with units and gold after EVERY match won, and a $7 Battle Pass subscription allows us to unlock even more cards faster. There is a cash shop allowing us to get in-game gold faster, which can be spent on buying individual cards that rotate daily, but the monetization overall seems more lightweight than in other mobile PvP games. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Pico Tanks [Game Size: 333 MB] (free)Genre: Shooter / Tanks / PvP / Action - Requires online Access Orientation: Landscape Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: Pico Tanks is a top-down 3 versus 3 tank battler with Control the Flag and a few other game-modes. And to my big surprise, even a focus on team-play, with certain weapons that can heal allies. The controls work well, the levels are well-designed, and unlike many of the top-down tank shooters releasing lately, I actually had a lot of fun playing Pico Tanks. Progression happens through unlocking blueprints for new tank parts, and subsequently leveling these up using in-game gold. This adds a stint of strategy to the game as it allows us to combine parts for unique tank setups. With no ads, no energy system, and no waiting for lootboxes to open, the monetization follows the style of Supercell's Brawl Stars, which makes it feel more lightweight than most other tank shooters on mobile. Sadly, there's no limit on how many times a tank part can be upgraded, which makes some battles unbalanced. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Dash Quest Heroes [Total Game Size: 189 MB] (free)Genre: RPG / Adventure / Endless - Requires Online Access Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: Dash Quest Heroes is an endless runner mixed with heavy RPG elements like loot, upgrades, abilities, epic boss battles, quests, and much more. It's a fun and casual experience that I really enjoyed playing. The monetization is relatively light with incentivized ads to revive and to get a bonus reward, and then iAPs for premium currency, which can be spent on buying additional entries to raids and dungeons. The only thing I dislike is that it isn't entirely clear when we'll have to watch an ad to receive a reward. Apart from that; a fun and unique game overall. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Once Upon a Tower [Total Game Size: 220 MB] (free)Genre: Action / Roguelite - Offline Playable Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: Once Upon a Tower by "Mars: Mars" indie developer Pompelo Games has us take on the role of a princess working her way down from the top of a dragon-protected tower filled with goblins and spiders standing in our way. Between each floor of the tower, we can buy one of 3 random temporary power-ups, much like in many roguelites, and progression is overall handled through unlocking new princesses, which are purely cosmetics. The game's atmosphere is well-executed, with lots of attention to detail, and the gameplay "feel" is great. But don't be fooled; despite what it might look like, Once Upon a Tower is not an endless game - it CAN be completed, although it's an incredibly challenging task to do so. Monetization happens through iAPs to buy additional lives and incentivized ads for another life, but that's about it. | What's your worst experience with mobile game support? Posted: 12 Feb 2020 11:06 AM PST Was playing a ton of Wizard Of Oz Match 3. Great game, graphics, but the support is insulting. Have had legit bugs where I lose actual money, support responds with "our records show that didn't happen". [link] [comments] | ||

| Is there any way to disable back option when using a mouse and right click? Posted: 12 Feb 2020 02:53 AM PST Hi guys. I am using a bluetooth mouse on an Andriod Samsung Tab A 2019 tablet. I want to use it along with remote desktop for gaming. But right click triggers the back option and it exits the app. Is there any way to remap mouse clicks in Andriod? Or disable the back option? Thanks guys. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 12 Feb 2020 03:22 AM PST Noticed they pulled it from the pre registration page, when I Google it the play store page does not let me download because it's not available in my country? What's going on, where is it available? [link] [comments] | ||
| I hate solitaire grand harvest Posted: 12 Feb 2020 03:16 AM PST So pay to win, you have to pay gold to play a level, the change of getting the wrong card is extremely high which equals to so much gold wasted, you have to wait a long time to get some gold and its not even much, the amount of gold you need to pay to play a level increases slowly This game basically screams "give me your much needed money and it's not sure it will worth it!" | Possible to Play need for speed 2012 mobile edition? Posted: 12 Feb 2020 06:23 AM PST As the title states, I would like to play NFSMW2012 mobile edition except on a PC. Iv tried using emulators before but to no surprise, the game isint avalible for download as you Have to pay for it. My next best theory would be to grab a Android OS and run a emulator And sign into my google account that has the game purchased and download it. My only question is: is this the best way of doing it and if so would it be safe to? [link] [comments] | ||

| [REQUEST] Coop & Coin Pusher games Posted: 12 Feb 2020 02:41 AM PST Since the mods have nothing else better to do, here we go again. I want to make sure that the intelligence of the androidgaming community isnt challenged because I forgot a word in my title, because they surely wont be able to figure out what they are reading. But, rules need to be absolutely black and white or else chaos will erupt and the entire subreddit will collapse in anarchy. I've been looking around for two separate styles of app games and am looking to the community for suggestions. The first is a purely coop game where the point is to work together to win. The second is, in your opinion, the best of the dozens of coin pusher games. Hopefully this is clear enough, that I am seeking your assistance, a request if I may, in suggesting an android app game by the specifications listed above. [link] [comments] | ||
