| System UI Crashed, Now I Have ZERO UI Posted: 12 Feb 2020 05:26 AM PST I have a Samsung S10e, rooted. I was just updating some apps on the Play Store when suddenly the UI started acting funky, as in apps stopped launching, or launched but never loaded. Swiping up/down/right to the quick settings/drawer/google now all were still working, but tapping on any app didn't do anything. After a few mins I get a System UI has stopped working message, and I tapped on "Close". Then everything went dark. My phone has no UI. The only think that is display is the Power/Restart dialogue if I hold the power button. Tried rebooting, also doesn't show anything at all. Absolutely no indication of whether device is on or off. Can't get into recovery either. Help? UPDATE: Somehow fixed itself after forcing a reboot bootloader using adb. Thanks to all the suggestions. [link] [comments] |

Since I come fom a Caribbean Country/territory, called Anguilla, for all of the time I have used Google play store for this country here, I have always been unable to pay for apps here However after going thorugh some hoops, I've managed to use to United Play Store to buy some Apps. For me, this bring out an intresting question. What is the criteria Google wants for a Country to have paid Apps, Music, Movies and Books? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 11 Feb 2020 11:52 PM PST Android 10, Google Photos App, Gmail When attempting to email photos why is there no option to resize them before sending like there is in iOS? The option should be here: Instead I have to use a third party app to resize before sending- why? As a work around I found this great free app on f droid https://f-droid.org/en/packages/mobi.omegacentauri.SendReduced/ Works great but reall should not require a third party app to do. | Posted: 12 Feb 2020 06:36 AM PST Just grabbed the LG G8s Thinq on Amazon and was testing out the camera. I bought it to replace my Moto g7+ and judging by the pictures the Moto g7+ and even my old g6 play have a way better camera in every aspect. I've made sure to try all different settings but still notice a huge difference. I have also tried in safe mode. I'm getting decent shots close up but things in the background is where you really notice the drop in quality compared to the g6 and g7. I tried downloading Open Camera the app but it looks the same. So i was wondering if anyone knew of a fix for this or is it a known issue ? Judging by all the reviews it's supposed to have one of the best cameras in this price range. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

The game states that saved games cannot be used on another device. But I'm thinking, there has to be a file in the app's directory that holds everything, so could I just backup that file and then overwrite the same file after installing it on my tablet? However, I noticed that this emoji isn't listed on my GBoard. I'm seeing the emoji when it's sent to me and I can copy/paste it into a new message, but it doesn't show in my emoji listing. I'm hoping someone out there knows of a reliable mobile app or method that will help me restore all my files (music, episodes of shows, documents, other sensitive materials...). There are about 1100 files sitting there and they've all been renamed to random numbers and it would take days to filter through and figure out what was what. | Google Voice Input/Search Wrong Language all the sudden Posted: 12 Feb 2020 02:32 AM PST Today I've noticed that Voice Search (pressing the mic icon in chrome search bar, youtube, google maps etc) language was using my system language (Traditional Chinese, Hong Kong) instead of my voice setting which is (Cantonese, Hong Kong). If the voice setting is traditional chinese, it would use mandarin instead of cantonese. This issue only affects the mic button in search bars, and would work fine via Gboard or manually selecting google voice input via changing keyboard method. Is there a way that I could change the language? Since there isn't a "Cantonese" option as display language I cannot change that as other posts suggest. Thanks! [link] [comments] |

| Crashes and bugs caused by Android 10 Posted: 12 Feb 2020 10:58 AM PST So I got the android 10 update yesterday afternoon for my S9 and it seemed to just be some design changes, however with it some apps randomly crash a lot more frequently than they used to. For example I would open gallery app and a few seconds later it would crash - the same happens with google chrome. Another thing about the gallery app, when opened all of the pictures are gone and theres just a large area of black (because of dark mode, white if I was on light mode). Weirdly though, i can see all of my albums with the pictures in them but i cannot open them without seeing the same empty black screen. Theres also the issue of not being able to save photos at all. This bug happens with my notes app in which it wont stop crashing but I can at least access my notes. TLDR - Android 10 has made my phone very bugy, gallery app is messing up and crashing and overall hasn't improved the performance but decreased it. [link] [comments] |
