I have a question about Ethernet port on my TV. Posted: 21 Nov 2019 04:06 AM PST I have a Hisense 50H8F which has its own Ethernet port. The problem is, as I found out, it is just 100Mb connection and I need gigabit connection for in-home network streaming of 4K HDR rips. So I went and plugged gigabit Ethernet to USB adapter into my TV's USB 3.0 port (thinking it might give me better speeds). But it has no reaction at all. It's like the TV's own Ethernet port is a priority and it cant recognize other one. I used to use this same adapter on Mi Box S, so the adapter itself is fine. So my question is, can I somehow disable the built-in Ethernet port, so that I can use the one via USB 3 adapter? Thanks. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Nov 2019 04:28 AM PST My buddy just got a mi box s and was wanting to lock specific apps so his kids cant access them. I taught him how to setup a separate profile with only specific apps, but he would like to have individual apps locked (dont ask me why, i have no idea). I did some searching but cant find anything. Anyone have any luck? [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Nov 2019 06:27 PM PST For the second time the debates have only been available from News android apps. Last time they were on CNN, and could only be watched on the CNN Go app. Today it's only available on the NBC News app or the Washington Post app. In both debates, I installed the apps on my Android TV, and there was no live tv option. After playing around with them for far too long, I pulled out my phone, found the stream right there in the app, and casted it to my tv without a problem. Isn't half the point of Android TV to be able to use these apps natively? Why are all these apps providing crippled versions on Android TV, and full versions on my phone? I'm getting very tired of app devs -- who are making video streaming apps -- treating Android TV like an afterthought. [link] [comments]
Hisense H9F - Fox Sports App really Choppy (Android TV) Posted: 20 Nov 2019 09:26 AM PST Hey so I have Android TV on the Hisense H9F TV, and for some reason browsing can be really delayed and sports runs suppperr choppy and Skippy on Fox Sports. Some people have been saying it's because of the Oreo Updated but is there any other way I can fix this? All thoughts are welcome! [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Nov 2019 09:41 AM PST Anyone bought this? At 80£ and with gigabit Ethernet it seems to be a good box. Only thing I miss is Dolby vision. [link] [comments] |
