How connect my smartphone as a remote?

    Posted: 18 May 2022 06:03 AM PDT

I have a huawei p30pro and a mibox 3. I can control my android TV with the remote but each time I try to connect my smartphone, it connects only 1 Second. It's listed as connected but I can't control the mibox from my phone even with all the apps (android remote, mibox remote apps). I would like to use my phone since I want to copypaste a password each time I want to access a directory on my android TV.

I managed to access it before with my previous phone, a one plus 3t.

Why is my new phone incapable to access the box? Thanks

Any AndroidTV boxes that aren't passively cooled?

    Posted: 18 May 2022 08:40 AM PDT

Looking for a device for my Mum who lives in a country where temperature is regularly in excess of 30c.

Chromecast with Google TV just overheats and drops network connection

I've been looking at the Mi Box S but concerned it will have similar issues.

My only other option is the Shield TV but that is hugely overkill for what she needs, but appears to be the only device that has some sort of cooling solution?

    Any recommendations?

    Casting/Mirroring Android Phone Screen

    Posted: 18 May 2022 10:18 AM PDT

So, when I'm connecting to my TV wheter with the Chromecast-Builtin or an third-party app, my TV is just showing a Black Screen but is playing Sound. I did not find the reason and can't fix it. Tried to update the Chromecast-Builtin and AndroidTV itself. Nothing worked. Please help.
