Am I better off running my TV without HDR considering the earlier tech my TV uses?

I have a Sony KD55X7055 that does have HDR but not the fancy kind. I use a Realme 4K stick and sometimes, even with HDR content, I imagine the image gets a bit blown out, depending on how the material is mastered or something. Maybe 4K SDR is overall better quality using different streaming services?

MiBox S 4k is showing its age, huge frames drop for some videos on YouTube. Considering buying Onn box 4k or the Google chromecast 4k.

I have been using the mibox s 4k for a few years. Lately, it will occasionally struggle with some YouTube video. One example is a 8k60fps video playing at 4k60 and the devide will drops huge amount of frames and even freezes.

So I am looking for a replacement, particularly the Onn box 4k and gg chromecast 4k. The chromecast is only $12 more in my place. Which one to choose?

And if anyone have either of these devices please try to play this video on YouTube and see if they drop any frames.

    Spotify lag spikes

    Posted: 20 May 2022 04:17 AM PDT

Spotify on my Philips (50PUS9006/12) keeps getting lagspikes after a few songs into a playlist. It's got a wired connection and a high internet speed (500mbit up and down). I have a soundbar (Philips TAB8805/10) connected with E-ARC as well, but I assume that wouldn't be relevant? Only spotify gets these lagspikes.

    Any ideas?
