Im super scared to lose my Organic Traffic. Google policy change forces all apps to have a maximum 30 characters store listing name from 80 characters. I still havent changed anything Afraid of keywords ranking dropping. My app traffic is 98% keyword search.
is foreground service suitable or i should use another type of service?
is there a way to give an application access to the data/obb folder with ADB?
ListAdapter search not updating some parts of item when i search then click on searched Item it gets original item not searched item

I got the basic idea of coroutines but i am having trouble in thinking in terms of them, i belive if I can get some in depth knowledge about them i can think better Can someone please suggest me some good book or intermediate level resource to understand coroutines better

I need the service to:

Keep working from the moment i start it until i stop it

read and write from the app databases or on a content provider that update that database later

detect a system event and do tsaks when it triggered

hide/draw an overly layout (display over other apps) and maintain it while it is shown (like messenger bubbles)

I have an outdated app that relies on getting access to these 2 folders but it doesn't work anymore because as you know, android 11 made it a whole lot harder to access these 2 folders.

Question about Google AdMob eCPM floor purpose.

In Google AdMob, in the ad unit settings, there is an option in the advanced options to set a floor to the eCPM. The choices are high floor, medium floor and all prices. However, I am not sure what is the purpose of setting a floor.

I was under the impression that AdMob would try to maximize revenue by filling ad requests with higher eCPM ads first and go down in value until it can fill the request. If my assumption is correct, wouldn't having no floor the best strategy to maximize revenue?

Now I also considered the case where I'm wrong and picking the "all prices" option would just try to maximize fill rate regardless of the eCPM value of the ad. In that case, would it make sense to create 2 ad units, one with a floor and one without, then within the app, if the ad unit with a floor failed to find a match then display the ad unit without a floor?

Hi,

How often do we have an option to choose OS we want to work with?
I'm fully aware that companies prefer Macs but I feel the most comfortable while working with Linux due to it's full tailoring possibilities and memory management.

Can a reactivated app get its old rank back in Play Store?

I made an app for a niche audience and it was mostly #1 or #2 ranked in the search results of the respective keywords. I deactivated the app and now after 4 month I reactivated the app again. The app has been approved on Tuesday, but it didn't get its old rank back yet. Meanwhile it can be found in the Play Store search, but it is not found by keywords except the app name.

Does this just take much time or does Google kinda punish reactivated apps (by denying its old rank)?

Kotlin Synthetics vs ViewBinding

What are the pros of using View Binding against using Kotlin Synthetics?

I've been using Kotlin Synthetics for quite some time and I find it very comfortable. I understand Google advices to move away from Kotlin Synthetics, but why? 🤔 Using View Binding introduces more boilerplate code than just using Kotlin Synthetics, and they both achieve the same thing. With Kotlin Synthetics I can just type the id, and that's it, I get a reference to the view. With View Binding is the same, but I need to also initialize the binding during the onCreate, so I have to add that extra code.

Am I missing something? Why is Kotlin Synthetics so bad?

It's look like all the media process in androiddev, the media store query or basic image editing like crop and rotate before upload lack of examples and tutorials.
