FreeviewPlay Terms & Conditions blocking all Freeview-related channels on Panasonic TV (UK) Posted: 29 Jan 2022 03:39 AM PST I picked up a Panasonic Android TV a couple of weeks ago. The apps worked OK at first, but now all the apps related to a Freeview channel (BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4) are unusable. On startup, they show a screen "FreeviewPlay Accept Terms" saying I need to accept the T&Cs. There are two buttons, Cancel and Terms & Conditions. If I select Terms & Conditions then nothing happens for a bit, then the app exits. Is this a known issue? Are there workarounds? Or do I just have to hope that the apps get updated to fix this? How to pair voice/mic philips rc to philips oled706 Posted: 29 Jan 2022 12:26 AM PST I own 706 oled, bought another philips remote control that looks similar but has full functionality (YKF474-B001). The trick is to spawn accessory pairing interface that has been stripped from settings in this tv model. I was able to use tvQuickActions to program whatever button you choose to spawn that pairing screen. As an action use APP -> Settings (hold ok for couple of seconds to choose activity) -> AddAccessoryActivity (com.android.tv.settings.accessories.AddAccessoryActivity). After finishing the pairing process everything started to work (voice search, google assistant, etc.). One thing though, while pairing process, after it will initially pair, i had to 'connect' one more time to PHRCL using other remote. Enjoy! https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/philips-android-tv.2935545/post-86337811 [link] [comments]

Sound setting through Optical Output? Posted: 28 Jan 2022 10:05 PM PST Not sure if this is a dumb question or not, I have a Samsung HT-TX52 receiver where you can't adjust bass, treble and miss. Also, it has a few audio modes but none are phenomenal. I recently bought a Hisense U7G and have it set to Optical out. My question is, is it possible to adjust the sound quality coming out of the TV? Like is there an app I can download that gives me that possibility? I've gone through the sound settings and nothing changes the tone. I know optical is supposed to be "pure" sound, but since I have no settings on my receiver, I'm hoping there's a way to adjust it before it hits my receiver. [link] [comments]
Pair Google TV remote to Windows? Posted: 29 Jan 2022 02:20 AM PST Hi. I'm wondering if it's possible to connect my Google TV remote to my Windows 11 PC via Bluetooth so I can control videos with it. I don't mind if the solution is somewhat hacky. [link] [comments]

How to see Local Network File movies as channel items on the Android TV start page Posted: 29 Jan 2022 12:40 AM PST I have a NAS and would like to see the last watched video files as a Channel on the Android TV Startpage. A similar experience to the Netflix or Prime videos which allows quick access to most recent NAS content. Is there any APP whicht directly shows NAS content as a channel? [link] [comments]
Bravia Android TV OK Button Issues Posted: 28 Jan 2022 02:50 PM PST I have a Sony Bravia x800h and every time I'm on the home screen or apps screen and press the OK/select button it'll act as if I'm long pressing and bring up the context menu instead of just tapping and opening the app. I can then select open and the app will open fine. Button works fine elsewhere inside of apps. Only affecting home screen and apps screen. [link] [comments]
Always keep Screen Cast on Android TV or WIFI Direct without have the same network, its possible? Posted: 28 Jan 2022 04:35 PM PST Hello, I have a Hisense Smart TV with Android TV, It's my first time with this OS Previously I had a Roku Smart TV and transmitting content was really simple, just open the app, click on the icon and look for the screen without the need for the TV to a connection on the same WIFI network, My brother has a Samsung TV and always keep a connection with a WIFI Direct network so it is also easy to transfer media. The problem with Android TV is that I need to forcefully keep the devices on the same Local Network, is there a way to fix this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jan 2022 11:56 AM PST My wife wants to play Nintendo on our TCL 65s434. I lack knowledge about the minimum requirements to do so, but I installed an emulator app and some games and tried a cheap USB dongle based controller and a cheap bluetooth controller and both are unusable due to the short but instantaneous delay between button presses and game play. Is there any way to troubleshoot whether this is due to insufficient specs on the TV (so buy a CC etc), compared to lousy controllers (so get a nice one) versus the emulator app I chose at random (so try others)? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jan 2022 05:52 PM PST I have a Philips 50pfl5604 that I purchased last spring. It is still android 9 and says no updates are available. Slow as !!!! My sister and B.I.L. each have a MeCool with android 11 and the difference is amazing. My question is can I force an android update with a thumb drive or connect a box like they have to my TV? I'm feeling stuck in the dark ages. [link] [comments]
