What are these new ads that require you to keep hitting "next"?

And how can we get rid of them?

They're typically for some newspaper and I've seen them then you watch an ad for some in-game reward.

You have to go through three pages to get through the ad and each page has its own timer.

    This is bullshit.

Proposal to stop mislead g ads

    Posted: 21 Dec 2021 10:20 PM PST

Free games apparently aren't subject to false advertising claims, so it seems the only leverage consumers have is ratings.

I'd propose that any game we download based on ads that don't match the game play should get an automatic one star rating with the text "Misleading ad. #StopFakeAds".

    Food for thought.

Hi, what's the best grinding mobile game right now? Something like Clash of Clans (unfortunately it's hard to start playing from begining today) or some MMO. It would be nice if the game was not intended mainly for spending money in it, but that it was also good and had relatively many active users.

SimCompanies: Business Simulator with over 15000 players! (simcompanies.com)

    Posted: 21 Dec 2021 10:23 PM PST

First of all, I would like to say, thanks for clicking on this post and deciding to read it. I have been looking for the perfect business simulation for a while, and I have finally found it! I really hope you try out this game and enjoy it too.

Simcompanies is a slow paced business simulation game, with an advanced business simulation model and around 15000 active daily players.

The Simcompanies economy is mainly divided into 2 parts, production and retail. With almost 150 products in the game, you can take your pick on how you can make your riches.

Producers can decide on vertical or horizontal integration for their buildings, while retails need to think about whether they want to produce the products they sell, or buy from other players.

The game offers 2 types of selling and buying items to/from other players. Firstly, the exchange, where people can list products for a price, and other people will buy them for the said price, like a marketplace. However, selling on the exchange is faster, so there is a 3% exchange fee, as well as, for some products, an amount of transport used. The second way of item trading between players is via contracts. You select the player you are sending to, agree on a price in your messages, and send it to them at that price. While it make take longer for them to accept the contract, there is no fee, and you only need half the transport.

In most retail instances, you must find the perfect balance of the price, quality, and amount of an item that you are selling. The more you are selling, the longer with will take. However, the higher the price, it also takes longer to sell, as in real life, you would have to wait for higher paying customers. This also means that if you increase both the price and quality, it would be quicker to sell, as people are happy to pay more for a better quality item.

In production, many players either chose to mass produce a certain product with lower margins but bigger volume, or have a whole production chain for a final product with bigger margins but lower volume. Both strategies can work if you do the math behind them. The best thing about production is that as long as you do the calculations and the thinking, profit is highly likely.

The final key aspect of the game I want to talk about is bonds. In Simcompanies, all bonds are sold for $5,000, and have interest ranging from $25 to $100 daily. Many players sell low interest bonds to upgrade or make buildings, which gives a massive ROI. However, if you use bonds for the wrong things, it will all start to go downhill quickly. You can also invest in other player's bonds, which pays you the interest they select. Beware; if a company goes bankrupt, you probably won't receive all your money back!

For my crypto-friends out here: The game also has a collectibles/NFT feature, where being the first to produce something gives you a collectible, which you can redeem for an NFT on an Algorand wallet. If you do not redeem the collectible, you can trade it for in game money, while if you redeem it, you can only trade it for ALGO.

Finally, this game can either be played in the browser or as an app, meaning anyone can play!

Do your research, find the holes in the market, and gain! Build relationships with your business partners and with the other game players to get to the top.

Thanks for reading, heres the link if anyone wants to try it out: simcompanies.com

Casual game that I can play with my girlfriend - last game we played together was HayDay

    Posted: 21 Dec 2021 06:52 AM PST

I need a little bit of help. My girlfriend isn't much of a gamer but enjoys casual games that are low effort-ish. We recently stopped playing HayDay because it got a little bit too grindy for her. Before that, she played LOTS of Candy Crush. She's on iOS, so the game has to be cross-platform. Something like Stardew Valley would he awesome. If nothing - we can both just play Stardew Valley "together but separately."

    Thanks ahead of time!

Suggestions: I finished Grimvalor and reached my skill cap on Dead Cells (3BC). Is there any other hack and slash game that I can play?

    Posted: 21 Dec 2021 03:23 PM PST

I have also played Oddmar. I hit my skill cap real quick on that. I don't like platformers whose main focus is never ending difficulty in platforming.

Oh, and Implosion Never Lose Hope.

    Is there anything similar?

Recently gifted an iPhone SE. Is there any hope of utilizing my google play purchases on this thing?

    Posted: 21 Dec 2021 07:51 AM PST

I had my galaxy a02s stolen and so I was given a $400 iPhone as a gift replacement. Ugh. Lol. But I'm kind of stuck with it and it isn't all bad.. I guess. But my biggest issue is not having access to 10+ years of android games I've paid for and grown accustomed to having access to at all times. Any suggestions on what I can do to ease my inconvenient situation?
