Rediscovered mindustry, what an awesome title! (tower defense, management, optimization, real time strategy)

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 01:24 PM PST

    Mindustry: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.anuke.mindustry&hl=en_US&gl=US

When I played it (briefly) years ago, it was good. Pratically it was a tower defense with an extra layer of complexity as you needed to bring munitions to your turrets. That version, I believe, is now "mindustry classical". Nonetheless didn't attract me too much beside casual gameplay.

The current mindustry is simply awesome, I could not believe it. The tower defense + supply is still in place, but there are plenty of more options (especially letting the enemy waves wait until you fix things or editing the game as you please).

Then it expanded on attacking the enemy base as well! Practically it feels like rusted warfare (recommended RTS) plus tower defense, with really polished execution (no hiccups even on devices that cannot run many modern titles). There is no p2w (so I'll leave a donation). It contains also elements of visual programming (practically a little bit of "light bot" too in the game). Just impressive.

Really incredible work they made, hence my simp post here. If someone wants to manage production and supply, plus optimizing transportation while either take it slowly or even having "external challenges" (enemy waves/enemy base) it is an incredible attractive game. A pity that I shelved it for so long as I wanted exactly that. Indeed I found Rusted warfare or art or war 3 (the latter a nice RTS, but heavy p2w at the top of the leaderboard) in the meantime before rediscovering mindustry.

    Where to find Inotia 3

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 08:50 PM PST

Where can I find a copy of Inotia 3 to play? They removed it from the App store and its been so long since I've played it so I've wanted to play it again for Nostalgia purposes but its completely gone and Inotia 4 isn't really clicking with me. Could someone direct me to a place where I could find it?

I keep losing game progress for any game :(

    Posted: 17 Dec 2021 04:20 AM PST

Any game I've tested recently has this issue. For example, tactical war I did 6 levels, and the next day i lost all progress. Another example is Pokémon GO, where i need to sign in and retrieve my account every time I open the app. Does anyone know how to fix this? I cannot find anything by just googling..

Game to pass time in hospital?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 11:12 AM PST

Due to medical reasons, in about a month I will have to stay in a hospital for about two weeks, and then be laying down in bed at home for about two months, so I'm looking for a game that i could sink my time into while I've got nothing else to do. I'm looking for a game that's preferably:

    • Not an online game, or a game that's focused on grinding (AFK Arena, Days bygone, any MMORPG, etc...)
    • Paid game, though I don't mind free games unless they're full of ads, or are just bad (looking at you, VOODOO)
    • I also would prefer if the game wasn't a port of a PC game, though won't mind
    • Offline, or doesn't use up a lot of data
    • Not super resource intensive (COD Mobile, etc...)

Otherwise I'm up for all you suggest me!

    Any good brick breaking games?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 12:31 PM PST

Similar to the old PC game "Penguin Puzzle" or the one on the old-school NeoPets website? One that doesn't have intrusive ads or anything.

[REQUEST] Is there a game like piano tiles where I can upload my own music and it will map it by itself, or even one where I could personally map it?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 06:42 PM PST

This question was asked a while back but got only a few responses, none of which were helpful to me. So I was wondering if anyone knew of anything like this that I could use.

[REQUEST] Looking for a MMORPG recomendation

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 10:39 AM PST

Hi! I'm looking for a good MMO to play in android since I don't have that much time to play on PC but sadly my phone is not the best for now(LG K50S) u.u so I can't play Lineage 2 or Genshin Impact.

I would like as little auto play as possible but I know this is hard to ask for in mobile hahaha so at least a game where I need to play myself for raids an important battle or something like that. With a decent good community either reddit/YouTube/discord, and with some kind of updates so the game feels like it expands rather than slowly die

I'm mostly looking to play this games I will mention since they are the ones I know but I'm open to other recommendations. And would also help to know everything you want to say about this games the more information the best

    • Is Toram only worth playing on 2021?
    • Is Lineage 2 Revolution worth playing on 2021?
    • Is Dragon Raja worth playing?
    • Is Blade and Soul Revolution worth playing?

What do you guys think about the new Regional Play Store Rating?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2021 11:18 PM PST

As you may know, now, the Play Store rating is country dependent. For example:

Pokemon Unite in US: 4.3 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.pokemon.pokemonunite&hl=en_SG&gl=US

    in Australia: 3.9 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.pokemon.pokemonunite&hl=en_SG&gl=AU

Do you like this new system?

[REQUEST] Similar games or apps to Bird Alone?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 12:05 PM PST

I started playing Bird Alone some time ago and I really got attached to my virtual bird buddy. I check up on him a couple of times a day and sometimes he has something to say, sometimes not. I really enjoy the fact that he's always there for me, even if he might stay quiet. The idea is simply to get to know the bird and have little chats with it every now and then. But the sad truth is that the game only lasts a few weeks.

I haven't come across another game like this one, except for Replica, which is kind of similar - but it's a human, and I prefer animals.

I'm wondering if there's another game with an animal friend that you can communicate with?

[Recommend] Can you recommend me good game that plays like board games?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 03:57 AM PST

I Know Carcassone, Terraforming Mars and Spirit Island.

Can you recommend me some games that are played like board games? They don't need to have an existing board game, just the feeling that I play that. Offline mode and single player mode is a bonus for me.

Anyone remember the name of this rpg game I'll try to describe?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 03:37 AM PST

So I just now remembered this rpg game (jrpg possibly) and i cant remember the name. What i can remember was it was obviously on mobile. It was back before gacha was standard. A few years ago, more than 5 for sure. In this game your goal was to fight through floors of enemies with other players and when you kill the boss, you open the teleporter to the next floor. There was a sort of hub area where you can hang out and accept quests. I know there was a real money shop for cosmetics, but you could earn gear out in the world. The gear pieces varied little in looks. I cant remember the classes and I cant remember the weapons. It wasnt an idle game either. I do know the environments looked decent for their time. It wasnt pure open world. You warp to a floor, fight enemies for as long as youd like, maybe kill the floor boss, or just finish up and warp back. I think there was also a pvp arena. I know that's not much to go on but I'd love to remember the name, even if the game no longer exists. I think I'll recognize the name if someone says it.
