- It's here, Google Home app 2.46.1.7, although some features are missing (no dpad), it still works. No quick settings toggle, but on Samsung, home controls are usable from the devices button in the notification panel (2nd pic).

Troubleshooting so far:
No luck. Voice commands still won't launch live Sling TV channels. For some reason the Sling TV integration just seems to have broke for me, and I can't reset it. Very frustrating because these same commands used to work. Any ideas? [link] [comments] | ||

| Controlling audio on TiVo Stream 4K Posted: 09 Nov 2021 11:07 PM PST One more question on setting up this TiVo device. My setup consists of a 27" computer monitor, with devices being connected to a 4x2 matrix switch with audio extractor which is connected to a Yamaha receiver through a mixer. When I set up the Onn. device a few weeks back I accidentally configured it so that the volume controls on the remote controlled not the receiver or monitor but just the audio on the streamer itself which is ideal for my situation. I want to do the same with the TiVo but nothing I've tried has worked. I looked at the Onn. and saw that the TV was set to Samsung, the receiver set to Yamaha and the volume control set to 'Auto (CEC)'. On the TiVo the HDMI CEC switch is turned on in device preferences and it doesn't work like I want it; I tried turning that setting to 'off' but it didn't make a difference. The TiVo doesn't have a volume control setting like the Onn. Am I not able to configure the audio the way I want because of that? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 09 Nov 2021 05:00 PM PST I just installed a TiVo Stream 4K device today, and in the process of fiddling around with it I seem to have changed the look and functionality of the standard Google keyboard. Instead of being a smallish grey/black keyboard in the center of the screen it's now a full-width white keyboard that takes up the lower third of the screen. In addition, I have no idea how to work that keyboard as it doesn't seem to respond to the remote. I did download other keyboards and they work fine but I'd like to figure out what I did to Gboard and how to fix it. Im about to send a device to my folks and I don't want them to experience the same problem, especially if I'm at a loss to fix it. [link] [comments] | ||
| GCcwATV doesn't read any Fat32 flashdrive with a generic USB-c hub Posted: 09 Nov 2021 10:28 PM PST Hi! I am wondering if the GCcwATV is finnicky with USB-c hubs. My setup is I got power brick Mi 65W with GAn Tech and hooked it up to a generic USBc hub to power it up. The streaming device works well with no issues. Then I tried to plug in 2 USB flash drives that are already in Fat32 format using RUFUS done in my windows machine. The drives cannot be identified by the chromecast at all. I tried to do the same setup hooked to my laptop and it can see the 2 drives with no issue. It can also read and write. I'm at a loss whether if it's just the USBc hub is busted, or is the brick not providing enough power, or the Chromecast has issues with generic chinese usb hubs.... What are your thoughts guys? | Limited connection on my Google tv Posted: 09 Nov 2021 05:09 PM PST So in the morning my parents were moving around with the power strip that connects my modem and router, I didn't think much of it but when I came back home I realized youtube was loading slowly and now it won't load at all so I go into settings and now it says limited connection. | smart media player,couple of questions. Posted: 09 Nov 2021 12:37 PM PST Ok so here is the situation: My computer along with the router is in my room and all the way in the living room my pops has his tv (sick at the moment so he spends a lot of time there). Tv is a Samsung 42' none smart tv,i was thinking of getting him a smart media player so i could hook him up with Netflix or something like that. Where the tv is located there is an internet cable coming out of the wall so i can hook up the smart media player. On the side i got my pops a tablet so he could browse the net and watch youtube videos,the only problem is that my router is far away and the wifi signal won't reach the living room where he spends most of his day. Do smart media players give out wifi? i mean the internet cable goes to the smart media box so i am hoping he can also use that as a way to get wifi signal to his tablet. If smart media players like this one for example: Don't give wifi would i need to change my thinking and also get a router? Like take the internet cable from the wall hook it up to the router then take another cable from the router to the smart media player then hdmi cable from the smart media player to the tv? Would appreciate a response on this,pops b-day is coming up and the 3 times a week trip to get Dialysis is leaving a mark on him. Thanks in advance guys :) [link] [comments] | ||
