[DEV] I've just released 'Slaughter School' a single-player version of werewolf!

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 09:11 AM PDT

[DEV] I've just released 'Slaughter School' a single-player version of werewolf!

    Slaughter School

January 1st, 1982. Slater High School has been surrounded by a mysterious freezing mist that has made escape impossible. First the adults disappeared and then most of the girls. There are only 16 of you left and the evil Gholas are among you.

As Head Girl you must use the skills of your remaining troop of fellow students to unmask the evil Gholas and the terrifying serial killer Violet, so you can eliminate them all and save the school! But the Gholas have a few tricks of their own...

A turn based horror strategy game from the developer of 'Slaughter Horse', 'Slaughter School' is an exciting reboot of the original game with improved AI, more detail, more music and lots more creepy fun!

This is a remake of a game I made a few years ago, written with AppGamesKit. The original 'Slaughter Horse' is really showing its age now, so I enjoyed making a reboot. Thanks in advance if you take a look!

I'm looking for an app/a game

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 12:05 PM PDT

I'm looking for a specific mobile game that I played in my school days about 5-7 years ago. Maybe someone can help me because I can't find it in the Play Store anymore.

(First of all - I am not a native English speaker and I had to use google translater.)

I try to describe it as well as possible. This is a game of skill and a casual game. You basically start at the bottom on a starting line. With a click on the screen you (and the camera) start moving the up / forward.

Small obstacles in the form of dots and small circles soon appear. You can avoid them by pressing and holding on the screen. If you hold down, you turn around the nearest dot/obstacle with a constant radius. If you let go of the touchscreen again, the connection to the point disappears and you fly straight out again.

The goal is to get as high as possible. If you hit one of the obstacles or the edge of the display/track, it's gameover.

The whole game is done in neon colors and the background is black or dark gray.

I roughly sketched what it looked like. I also recreated the logo and color scheme on the computer, just as I had it in my head. The object that you control ingame is shown on the logo. Maybe it will help you.

Link to a Google Drive Folder with these sketches.

I am always available for questions. Hopefully one of you knows the game.

Paid Games with no annoying IAP (Survival, Story, Sim, Dungeon, Great Controls)

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 02:16 AM PDT

I never did any gaming on my phone for 6 years because I have PC and PS4. My wife is using my PC for the meantime for work so I bought a new phone and proceeded to see charts in the Play Store and naturally downloaded around 20 free games to only delete 15 of them in a day because of ads and force feeding of IAP. Its sad how convoluted they've become.

What games do you folks suggest? I love the suggestions here such as Stardew Valley, Dead Cells, Rockstar Games, Square Enix Games, LoL and Minecraft etc. but I already have those in PC. If its any favorite of yours, trending/famous game or any genre I mentioned, I'll be happy to look into it. Thank you in advance for reading!

[DEV] Tower To Heaven (Simplistic JRPG)

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 01:27 AM PDT

Hello. I've just released Tower To Heaven on Google Play. It's a simplistic JRPG with a casual mode implemented and plans for adding speed-run modes. It should work on phone/tablet/TV and Chromebook although Chromebook hasn't been tested yet (oops, I just realised that but the engine was tested in my last game.) Hope you check it out and let me know what you think.

Hey all, new to this subreddit. I just got myself a razer kishi today and was wondering what are some must play games that are compatible with it.

Also I really like cod mobile. Is there any work around to get the kishi to work on cod mobile?

    Thanks in advance

Questions for mobile games in general

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 03:38 AM PDT

Mobile games.... it's a strange side of gaming is it? Constantly lambast for being below average, trash, weeb bait, literal gambling, etc.... and I agree with it all of those sentiments... but I also disagree on it's constant hatred so I have a question: HOW did we get this and WHY does people never try to get into it and always mindlessly hating on it?

There are many examples of great mobile games that deserves the throne of the King, Infinity Blade by ChAIR. Entertainment, ANY game from Rayark International Limited, Foursaken media, Immortal Rogue by Kyle Barrett, Space Marshals by PixelBite Studio and a whole lot more which is... lost in time. So why do people hyper focus on games which in retrospect, not even that good, case in point, Candy crush Saga by "King". It's a Bejeweled clone, it's extremely monetized on release, the visual is... ok but way less interesting than the ethereal style of Bejeweled made by Popcap but own by E A , yet it is one of the most downloaded mobile games and most profit one of all time, same with Endless runner games. They're ok time wasters but... Jesus Christ, the popularity is off the chart, so HOW did we get to the point where devs are mocking this type of monetization with a literal Casino? Even though they have the same style but NOT effect gameplay to an extent (I.E Shadowgun Legend by MADFINGER games, a.s) (HOW)

What most people don't know is that... influence, the view of said industries sets a norm and quality control of said industries, that is why even though many people hate micro transactions, strangely low standards for AAA games, lack of innovation or more still continues with it as it always rack in the millions, maybe even billions of dollars. Case in point, Pokemon Unite made by Tencent but own by Nintendo, the same is happening to mobile games but way sooner... and somehow worse. But like every gaming market, the good overpowers the bad, and I have found ENDLESS amount of good games which is enjoyable and doesn't suck my wallet up... so WHY are people only focus on the worse aspect of games... but never explore more than that? The fact that Zeptolab UK limited exist, Unruly Heroes by Perfect game Speed proves that there is good in it, that if you dig a little, you will find treasure (WHY)

    [REQUEST] any good rpg games?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 05:28 AM PDT

I need a game with progression and a ton of skills abilities and other things.

it can be paid or iap, those don't really bother me as long as the game keeps me hooked.

it can be indie-ish as well. prizefighters 2, occidental heroes, retro bowl, stardew Valley, terraria and exiled kingdoms are a few i played and really liked

    looking for a new controller

    Posted: 04 Oct 2021 05:43 PM PDT

    Hey everyone,

I currently have a Razer Kishi, and frankly, I really don't like it. The grip is pretty bad in my hands. It just feels cramped. Playing with the dpad feels awkward.

The controller itself just feels flimsy. Also, it disconnects frequently.

    What I'm looking for:

    • telescopic
    • the dpad is an actual dpad (not 4 separated buttons)
    • easy to hold
    • good build quality

Nice extras: - can fit my tab s6 - USB type C connection (or very low latency Bluetooth) - compatible with cod mobile

Is there anything like the Backbone - Apple Arcade, Playstation Remote Play, Stadia, COD Mobile [1 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Digital Code Included] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RL7VLKY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_SXP306M596K6MB1W2H31) for Android? That looks perfect...
