SOLVED Android 10 Audio Stuttering Issue LG G7 ThinQ Posted: 16 Oct 2021 04:02 PM PDT Hi guys. I thought I would post this incase anyone else has this problem as I couldn't find any answers to it anywhere. So I decided to troubleshoot it myself. Last week I bought a used LG G7 ThinQ and I updated it to Android 10 immediately. I am a heavy YouTube user and started noticing that the phone would randomly pause the video and as soon as I pressed play the audio would be terrible and stutter. It was unwatchable. First I thought it was a problem with Youtube and tried clearing the cache of all my apps like everyone recommends online. Nothing worked. Later I noticed that when it happens and I play normal music on the phone the problem was still there aswell as on other music apps. A restart usually fixed it so I knew it was software related. Tonight I noticed that if I restart the phone and immediately go to Youtube to test it it works fine and then it will do the same thing after 10 seconds.. This time predictably. My intuition told me some app on the phone launches after the restart and causes the issue. So I went on disabling every app on my phone one by one each time checking if the audio improves. I found nothing until I got to "Android System Webview". I disabled it and the Audio was back to normal instantly. Excited I proceeded to restart the phone a few time and tried disabling it each time the problem started and it works! I have now uninstalled Android System Webviews updates so it is now on the factory version that came with the phone. So far so good. I am going to see if this permanently fixed my problem and will keep you posted! This is my first post on Reddit because I find it important to try and fix your phone and in gerneral anything instead of replacing it. Sometimes it can be fun when you solve the issue and you might learn some problem solving skills! Good luck and good night. [link] [comments] |
