Posted: 11 Sep 2021 07:23 AM PDT I need to run an app and extract it's data which I can manually access by opening app into phone, go to my profile and copy-paste, which is too lenghty process. Not sure how many ways to do this but I'm thinking to run the app into any emulator and do something on pc. Also, want to test custom roms like PE ROM, kali/nethunter etc. to see if it's good for my poco f1. I'm confused with so many things, please feel free to push me to a relavent sub (maybe related to PC) where I can ask these questions. TIA. [link] [comments] |

Doesn't seem to be anything in Spotify and DnD seems to only have gcal or time of day triggers but it seems like such an elementary feature, I must be missing something or over complicating it? | Thinking about switching to the Galaxy Flip3 rom iPhone 12 Pro Max Posted: 11 Sep 2021 11:04 AM PDT So I tend to upgrade my phone every year, but I'm getting a little bored of iPhones and iOS in general and the Flip3 caught my eye. I am thinking about getting it via the Samsung Upgrade Programme. In the UK, It is literally half the monthly cost of my iPhone even when I add the Samsung care insurance, plus I get to upgrade every year. Sounds like a win win. My only concern, really, is instagram quality. For some reason, instagram story quality on android phones isn't great and I have no idea why. My friend has an android and when she takes normal photos they look fine... great even. But as soon as she takes an insta story... it just looks bad. Posted: 11 Sep 2021 10:48 AM PDT Hi everyone, so my phone's camera sometimes will just randomly stop focusing, I've tried formatting, force closing the app, but nothing works, the phone just has a fixed focusing distance, sometimes even rebooting doesn't solve the problem. It affects apps as well (photos taken from WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook etc) Macro and ultra wide lens aren't affected, it's only the main camera. My requirement is very simple: The phone has to last 5+ years. This means both in terms of build quality and software support. I use my phone very lightly (texting, calling, facetime, light social media, no gaming). My Criteria: Reliability, Durability > CPU > Battery > Camera Right now, I am looking at a Google Pixel 3a XL (~$200) because it's from Google and has big battery. | Galaxy Note 10+ auto declining calls? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 11:06 PM PDT I've been trying to figure this out for weeks. If a contact calls me I can answer no problem. If they aren't on my contacts list it automatically declines the call. I've even removed my call filter and it still does it. I used to use calls blacklist and the WeMail apps when I received a ton of spam calls but since that has slowed down I deleted them. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I can't even answer my doctor when they call. [link] [comments] |
| S21 Ultra - Something is deleting a specific MP3 on its own Posted: 11 Sep 2021 09:07 AM PDT Something strange seems to be happening on my phone. I have a new S21 Ultra and for some reason something is removing an mp3 I made for an alarm. It's happened three times now since I got the phone. I can see a modified date on the folder of 4am this morning, which I was asleep at. I made two copies of the file in two different folders this round in the default Music folder and they are both gone now. One in \Music and the other in \Music\Other\ I just use it for an alarm so I figured it was the alarm app (I cant wake up) corrupting it at first, hence making two files in two different folders. I've stepped it up to creating my own specific root level folder to store it in for the next idea. But the big thing bothering me is I can't find out what is doing this. It also hasn't touched any other MP3 file in the default music folder (that I've noticed yet at least) and the file plays through the alarm app while it's there just fine. It just keeps removing this one file for some reason. It is highly concerning that files are being removed on my device without my consent, let alone not even telling me, what else could just up and disappear then? I'd think possible possible storage corruption, but how would that target the same file in multiple folders more than once and nothing else so far. Has anyone by chance seen anything like this before? It seems to happen every week at this point. Any ideas to track down what is doing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks [link] [comments] |
| Android not recording Google Duo audio during screen recording. Posted: 11 Sep 2021 04:28 AM PDT I followed the only online android screen recording directions i could find without having to download an app. I toggled on screen record in my android settings. I chose the option to record mic and media on there. Then i opened an incoming duo call. The duo app asked permission for screen recording to be used on the duo call. I chose the option for allowing that anytime i have screen recording on. A few seconds after the duo video call ended, i ended the screen recording. It only recorded audio and imaging before and after being on the duo call. During the duo call being in an opened state, only the imaging was successful. I don't mind having to resort to an app but a lot of recording apps go silent during audio calls and video calls. So i dont know what to use. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 11 Sep 2021 07:47 AM PDT Unfortunately my 1.5 years old Redmi Note 9S is suffering what i suspect to be battery bloating as the case is opening up. I plan to send it to official service center for replacement, but i am wondering is there anything i can do to protect my privacy? Not much important stuffs just some photos, and accounts logged in, plus the google account that will always be logged in. I am wondering can i just lock the phone with simple passcode, and will the service center be able to carry out it's job if i locked them, can they go to service mode or something that can't access my accounts and files? Asking if there is any easier way other than deleting my files, logging all my accounts out. coz all my photo dates will be messed up once i use the copy function and i don't have cloud service. Also my google account will still be logged in since the phone requires an account logged in all the time, this means the emails can still be accessed. [link] [comments] |

| Voice to text isn't working and hanged color Posted: 11 Sep 2021 07:38 AM PDT When I used to activate voice to text, the button was green and as I was speaking, it would underline certain words that would give me the option to change them to other words that sound the same. Now, the button is blue and doesn't give me the option to change words. The green button also gave me the option to add space paragraphs by saying new paragraph. The blue button doesn't. Posted: 11 Sep 2021 03:25 AM PDT I used to have a OnePlus 3T back at 2016 and it was a generally good experience until I upgraded to my friend's P20 Pro when he got a new phone in 2019. However, as there are physical problems I began looking back at the market at OnePlus as the 3T served me extremely well, but why have the prices nearly doubled. After a week of watching reviews, I found out that back in late 2018 the release of the PocoPhone F1 kinda rivalled the OnePlus6 and 6T, and the K20 pro rivalled the one plus 7 at an extremely aggressive price. Basically what I want to get an opinion on is , did Xiaomi's flagship killers that are even cheaper than one plus caused it to step up and have a demi-flagship like the base and a standerized non-ultra flagship like the pro unlike their initial repuatation of being flagship killers with some comprominses but great performance as Xaiomi's POCO and Redmi Brands are just priced way too agreesively for them to go back and compete with. Posted: 10 Sep 2021 11:05 PM PDT I remember that some years ago, for dual sim phones, the 4G sim was supposed to be inserted in sim slot 1 and the other one in the 2nd. Currently in newer phones both slots seem to support it. So currently, does android software or hardware have any sort of preference for the sim slot in which a particular sim is inserted? Or is there no difference in it? I had searched for it on google, but it only talked about the older ones with the 4G sim on slot1. Also I chose 'other' as the flair for this question. Posted: 11 Sep 2021 03:53 AM PDT I've used car Bluetooth and Bluetooth speakers/alarm clocks for years, and I've never heard a beep before unless something is low battery or there's a problem. In the 2 weeks however, both my alarm clock and my car (when it's not plugged into AA) give off a generic electronic "beep" when I'm either changing tracks or pausing the music. It's bizarre and came out of nowhere. I'm using a Note20 Ultra, and I can't find any new settings or updates that would cause this. Has anyone else run into this? Any idea what the culprit could be? | Moto One Fusion Plus won't make or receive calls Posted: 11 Sep 2021 01:30 AM PDT I have a moto one fusion plus with android 10 on it. If I try to make a call on cellular network, it suddenly keeps showing 'Turn off airplane mode' but my airplane mode is off and I can browse the internet using cellular data. Been using the device for a year. Not rooted or messed with anything. Rebooting doesn't help as well. I think this started after I updated my apps from google play store. I don't even realise it has happened until I see how much mobile data I've used. Just to clarify, I don't mean that I lose my signal, I mean that WiFi actually gets disabled and I have to turn it on again in Settings.
