    Have a weird problem with our Philips Ambilight Smart TV.

    With growing regularity it informs us the Ethernet is not connected. Checking the IP address it shows as having an internal address.of 173.xxx.xxx.xxx rather than the home network 192.168.0.xxx

    We have cable internet, and have run an ethernet cable from the modem/router into a 10/100 switch. Then a cable from the switch to the TV, we also have a PS connected via the same Switch. When the "ethernet isn't connected" message shows up the PS is connected just fine. I have switched the cables, between devices and switched out for new ones.

    I have factory reset the SmartTV but the problem returns withing 24-48 hours.

    Any ideas?

    ANDROID TV COLOR CALIBRATION

    I want to calibrate the color of my tv screen. Android tv has display calibration settings but its unusable because the calibration options doesn't float on screen, on top of an image use as a reference for color calibration. Is there any functional app that can calibrate my tv display properly?

    Hello guys, can someone give me an advice to buy an Android TV box which resolution is at least 1080p, and most importantly, I can control from my own network? (With Teamviewer for example).

    This last feature would be very important to me as I'm buying this for my grandfather. Thanks in advance!

    Hey everyone, hoping someone can help with this. About a month ago, my wife and I bought a new Sony Bravia X85J after finally managing to get our hands on a PS5. First time owning a smart TV and we've been loving it so far. Linked up our Google accounts with no hassle, using my wife's as the primary.

    We use streaming apps for almost everything and those are all working fine. However, we did purchase the new season of Rick and Morty through Google TV so we could watch new episodes right after they premiered. Spent $24.99 to gain access to the whole season.

    For the last week, Google TV videos aren't loading and the search function is not working. I'll search for something, even using the voice control function on the remote, and it just loads for a few seconds before eventually just returning the screen to normal and doing nothing.

    Before this, new episodes of Rick and Morty would not appear in "My episodes" until after being searched. It was really weird, and it's like Google needed a search done in order to trigger the new episode showing as available. Now, that won't work at all. It's been over a week since Ep. 7 premiered and it still isn't showing in My Episodes. The new one from this week isn't either.

    Has anybody run into this problem? I've cleared the caches from the Google apps on my TV, restarted the whole thing, unplugged it and plugged it back in…I'm out of ideas. Really hoping someone here can share some guidance before I have to try contacting Google customer service.

    Laptop to Google TV 4K and use remote?

    Hello,

    I have a Google 4K TV. I stream files from my laptop to this device using chromecast on chrome browser.

    Is there a way to use the remote to pause rewind and fast forward?

    Would I have to use another app? Is there a simple and quick one that's as easy as dragging and dropping the file into my chrome broswer on pc but still allows me to use the remote?

    app Specific picture Settings

    Wondering if anyone knows on Google TV if you can have different picture settings for different apps?

    For example, can I have picture settings for Hulu and then different picture settings for Amazon without having to manually change them every time.

    Sony A8 only recognizes Dolby Vision when the file is an mp4 on Kodi. How to make it work with an MKV?

    Hi there!

    I tested out my TV with a Dolby Vision file, which was an MP4, and the TV recognized that it was Dolby vision, and it automatically adjusted the screen's picture profile. The result was a highly contrasted picture that I enjoyed.

    This however, does not happen when I use a MKV file. Can someone please explain why this is, and how to make the Sony A8 recognize that it is a Dolby Vision file, and that it can use it's Dolby Vision settings.

    The file was streamed via Kodi 19. Any help in this matter is deeply appreciated.

    Sound settings on tcl c71

    Hi,

    I have a tcl c715 that was caught in a boot loop, so today some technicians swapped the mainboard and did some software upgrade. The TV is working again but I cannot find any sound settings anymore, so every time I press a button on my remote the TV makes a confirmation sounds which drives me nuts. So could someone explain to me how to change the sound settings on this model?

    Google TV App - No Notifications

    I've had the google TV app since the re-design and launch of the google tv Chromecast. Under notifications I see that there is an option to be notified when a title on your watchlist becomes available. Oddly enough though, I've never received any notification at all from the app.

    I've switched on and off all of the toggles and don't see anything muted or restricted. Anyone else having this issue or have any suggestions?
